- Heres a quick video on my new samsung 2tb t7 shield I was dealing with slow transfer speeds right out of the box tried different ports on my laptop both cables that were provided with the ssd downloaded a speed tester and came across the disk manager fix for it.
I hope this helps anyone who was just as much as excited as i was to use it and also just as disappointed as I was when I was when I started using it and began having the same issue
Let me know how youre enjoying your new investment.

Thanks worked all good with my T7!
not recommendable because you actually just write to the cache and the data needs minutes before it is actually synced to the SSD. if you unplug the disk before the cache is synced you lost the data or the disk becomes corrupted
Thank you so much! TYP C and this option/ the point better Performance worket! Thanks! Nice greets from germany
Thanks you saved my life !
Did u reformat it to the ExFat when u first used it ?
Thanks a lot!
this was helpful thanks!
Thank You so much 🙂
I have a Samsung T7 Touch SSD for my MacBook Pro, and it takes FOREVER to connect when plugged in. Once it is plugged in, it is next to impossible to search for anything on the drive. All other drives work just fine. I have no issue with transfer speed, but it is inconvenient to wait for the drive to appear in the Finder. I may need to reinitialize it to Mac, since I started using it right out of the box (normally this is never an issue).
Worked for me !!!! THX
Thanks I wondered why my testing showed slow transfer speeds ---but changing those settings
didn't help me😢😢😢
I have my drive connected to usb 3.1 port and cable is a top quality brand ANKER😢😢😢 same drive as yours
Apparently the T7 has a cache of 50 GB so if you're transfering a file bigger then that it will take more time. Her's a link to a video on that

Hi, i made the steps this video showed, I use a samsung T7, but now it's stuck at only 450-460 mbs read and i cannot understand how to fix it, do you have any advice?
Make sure youre using the usb c lightening port, ive seen some guys have had luck swapping to another cable instead of the provided cable and or changing directions on the cable if still no luck try formatting to exFat fingers crossed!
did we have use type c to type c to get fast speed ???
type c always faster
@@YoungAlainsNo. Type C just means connecter type C. You can get equally fast speeds with the USB-C to USB-A cable, as long as the ports of your PC are usb 3.1 or 3.2
