  • The Peel Park stands, overlooking the town of Kirkintilloch. From the park, you also get amazing views across to the Campsie Fells, locally known as the Campsies. The park has been the location of a castle, as well as a section of the Antonine Wall. Unfortunately, there is nothing left of the Antonine Wall, just a modern plaque that marks part of where the wall was. The Auld Kirk Museum stands close to the park. The museum celebrates Kirkintilloch's Roman Archaeology. I will visit the museum as soon as I can.

PJ Leary once everything has calmed down, I will be out to shoot more videos on the Antonine Wall. I will do my best to get the word out about it.

Denise Wilson I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. Once all of this has passed, I will be back out, finding more hidden gems and promoting the wall. In the mean time, I will be keeping the channel going.
