    It is amazing to me how one little detail makes the whole project, like the sharpie border around the white paint! It just made the whole painting click.

    I finally found you! I kept hearing Lexi Grenzer, Lexi Grenzer from the sister and Jamirayvintage, but when I looked for you on CZcams I couldn't find you.. This little inlay piece on canvas is beautiful. I love that used a piece of transfer. I don't think I would have thought of that. I would have freaked if the inlay ripped though. They're expensive. At first I thought it was just one piece and I thought, Oh, Well, that could be put back together. I hadn't realized there were those tiny pieces.
    I am curious about the powdered chalk paint. Also you said you were using various kinds of chalk paint. Do you have a list some where? I just went to your website, but couldn't find any chalk paint products. Your art is so beautiful. All the more so because you're self taught. It's exciting to discover you can do something you hadn't thought yourself capable of.

      @lexigrenzer6523 Před 2 lety +1

      Kathleen, some my students split the cost and share a pack, maybe go in on a pack with a couple friends. They are soooo big (12”x16”), so you can do so many projects with just one sheet. ❤️

    I am getting ready to do this on a wall but I want to be able to peel the whole sheet back so I can reuse. How do keep it from ripping?

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns  Před rokem +1

      Hi Janet! There really is no fool proof way. I would just say make sure it's peeling easily and go slow. If it doesn't feel like it wants to pull, it may just need a little more water spritzed on❤

    Happy to see what could go not as planned, yet I would be quite upset as with the cost what it is, I count on be able to use each inlay sheet 2-3 times. If I have to preform surgery to extract the shredded pieces, my 2-3 uses plan is doomed. Do you think that happened due to 1. on stretched canvass? 2, use of dryer to rush through the process? 3, Not wet enough when removing? .......

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns  Před 2 lety

      I believe it was because Lexi's water bottle was broken, it's very likely that it wasn't wet enough! I know a lot of people use dryers during workshops and they usually peel off great still!❤

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns  Před 2 lety

      Another thought occurred to us. She's using a milk paint and any paint other than traditional chalk paint will have varying dry times so you'll want to do sample runs to get your timing down before you commit to a larger project.

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns  Před 2 lety

      Lexi said her water bottle had broken. A bit wetter and she wouldn't have had the tearing.

      It was totally user error, part of the learning curve. They really are awesome, but you’ve gotta use enough water - game changer.

      Even if you only got 1 pull from each sheet you have 8 sheets for $48. divided by 8 that's around $6. a sheet.
