There’s one thing in the cycle of gacha grief that he didn’t explained. True that’s what he was talking about but that is not all after the acceptance part, only if you had enough primogems. When you see a glowing gold coming out you’re finally getting the character from the banner hooray but not so fast. There is a feature called 50/50, it means there is a chance to get it but if you see a different 5 star character you lose 50/50 and still don’t get it you’ll have start from 0 pity and yes there’s a pity system btw. 5 star is every 80/90 wishes and 4 star is every 10 wishes, I hope this helps.

Well, genshin treats me nice as well. In more than a year i was playing in (exactly i start in the version 1.1), i gather 17 5* characters (all 5 of the normal banner, excluding the traveler). Klee, Xiao, the 3 actual archons, both kamisato brothers, and others are example of what i get as a F2P.

Mobile Legends Adventure is the worst for this… and I’m a player lol. They at times release legendary skins, which do have highest available stats. But to get them is even different from normal rolls. The currency is special and can only be bought. After ten or twelve, can’t remember which, you’re guaranteed the skin. Thing is each roll costs more. 10 then 11 then 12 and so on. And each one is $1 USD. So by the time you get to the final one if you weren’t lucky you’ve spent $158 because the first is free. The other stuff you can at least earn… but not the legendary ones
Hi mr. professor Lando. Really liked your topic of “school of thoughts” when it comes to gachas. Would like to add to your note that I feel like I am a person who when playing these gacha games, I feel like I am in between a meta slave and a waifu person. I always like to watch guide videos on yt and at least get a fundamental understanding of certain characters, builds, etc., so I can better understand the game and all of the mechanics of said game. However, I also am in the same boat when it comes to being in the waifu school of thought and if a character matches my (Idk a better word for this but) aesthetics, I may be swayed into pulling for said character. Hope this point I make can shed a light on the fact that I feel like schools of thoughts is more of a spectrum of placement from person to person when it comes where people want to identify themselves as w/i gacha games
The only way to find out the TRUE %'s is to go thru the code. Lets say the (so called) best item, usually 5☆ SSS whatever, claims 0.01%. It could only show that amount in the display. But be much much less internally, like around 0.001 or lower.
when playing genshin my characters need to both look somewhat cute and be somewhat decent for my main team. if they are outstanding in one of those fields then the other one can sometimes be ignored, but usually they have to be both
When my friends got me into Genshin, I got a 5 star on my 1st 2nd and 3rd day. It was Jean first, then 2 Keqings. It was fun, then later down the line I got Hu Tao, Diluc and the ice lady who goes underground. Spent like 10$ to get 2 of the blessing of the moons. That sword was too good to pass up for my Keqing. But I haven't played since like 2 updates ago because I got bored.

gambling at the very least, you get some money back and in some rare instances, make more money. in gacha games, your money just disappears. you get nothing but jpegs in a video game that would otherwise be free to play. you could get how many more full fledge games, and some of those games can get you a return if you buy like old nintendo game cartridges.
As a Genshin Impact player it's actually really stressing when a banner of a character that I'm fond of appears. I have to kinda go on Crunch Mode and it's nonstop grinding for primos. Lemme tell ya... IT'S PAIN. It's never promised that you'll get the character you want. That's what risky. I remember having like 50 wishes for Hu Tao, didn't get her. And then I spent hours grinding for Primos. Got her in the end tho so it was worth it.
uhm, i think tips for f2p is just gacha at rate up banner or something... and dont waste ur (gem, diamond, etc) on a banner that u think u dont even need that char/card.
Gacha is just anime version of NFTs (no opinion or comment on NFTs) but the waifu you get isn't the rarest thing ever.. but its a good idea to make a waifu generator which makes a unique waifu for you in the game
The fact that you liken gacha to NFTs is just outrageous. I'm not defending gacha because I'm an addict or whatever (no, I'm not, trust me bro), but gacha is way different from NFShits. You pay to own a NFT. You don't have to pay to play gachas. Once you own a NFT, there's really nothing to do but let it gather virtual dust in your drive or cloud. Once you own a gacha character, you can use them in ingame content. You buy NFTs because you're (not the original commenter) an idiot. I buy gacha waifus cos I like tits and clearing game content. We are not the same.

[ Free to pain ]
Omg this video is actually helping me with a project, thanks Teach!
Well the most important question about gacha games is how to stop it?
Wonder if Prof watched this after the Lyney adventure
With Final Fantasy Ever Crisis coming out this is very informative for me who has never played a gacha game. Thank you.
Gems of War is absolute crack to people who like these games. Oh my god, is it ever good
If you have self control gacha games are no problem. That and dont expect to get a banner character with only 2k primos.
I loved the visual demonstration professor.
Helped me to understand how I look after 50 pulls getting nothing but Sayu...
Absolute madness...
Professor lando looking like he trying to rewind time and live a quiet life
the practical section was very relatable
Mobile Legends Adventure is the worst for this… and I’m a player lol. They at times release legendary skins, which do have highest available stats. But to get them is even different from normal rolls. The currency is special and can only be bought. After ten or twelve, can’t remember which, you’re guaranteed the skin. Thing is each roll costs more. 10 then 11 then 12 and so on. And each one is $1 USD. So by the time you get to the final one if you weren’t lucky you’ve spent $158 because the first is free. The other stuff you can at least earn… but not the legendary ones
u can’t give them money if u don’t have money!
This sounds like a predatory business tactic. Thank God I'm broke
You're everywhere
Lmao as one who was once a gatcha addict this is 200% accurate
i got an ad for a gacha game while watching this. my ad personalization off, so the odds of that are very low. yt is mocking me
Hi mr. professor Lando.
I would love a full vid of rolling and mald lol
Me: I would never waste money on collectables I don't care about...
Professor: "Lando Impact"... **Proceeds to list off alternative Lando characters**
Me: I'LL TakE YoU'Re EnTIrE SToCk!!!!!
As someone who has stupidly good luck on Gacha and, in Genshin for example, I have only lost 4 50/50s out of 13 pulls with an average 5* pull of 55 pity I haven't felt that pain yet... Though I constantly expect it to come soon
My first gacha game was Granblue Fantasy, 2nd Genshin impact, 3rd Blue Archive. I fear getting into anymore cuz the waifu factor is high
I do want standard Lando!!
what do you mean theres like 5 DLC's in every other game at lest you get somthing in gacha games and if your lucky you get its worth or if you just play and save
This is the very first video I saw of yours and this is just straight facts. I do play Genshin and you for real gave it a good break down and how the community itself has those 2 schools of thoughts. I personally fall under the waifu category and yes, I whale for waifus. I do enjoy the game 100% personally as well. Looking forward to more of your content 😀
i started my journey on gacha games when FGO went global
played it for tamamo so i roll whenever her banner is out, until now i still don't have her, it's been so long that I'm on the "acceptance" stage now
welp i ranted enough, time to go back to my dailies, cheers to u guys and i love u prof Lando, keep the vids up
gambling at the very least, you get some money back and in some rare instances, make more money. in gacha games, your money just disappears. you get nothing but jpegs in a video game that would otherwise be free to play. you could get how many more full fledge games, and some of those games can get you a return if you buy like old nintendo game cartridges.
i woudnt watch this video to the end but your classes are so interesting that i will see it to the end
Love the tie, Professor!
The Cycle of Gacha Grief has hit home a bit too much 😂 i remember seeing my ex go through that whole cycle when he played Genshin
wow. and you're also on Miko's banner.. my favorite character.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've only lost the 50/50 once. On what banner? Raiden Shogun. But since then I've gotten Eula and Zhongli. Hoping to get Kazuha next
uhm, i think tips for f2p is just gacha at rate up banner or something... and dont waste ur (gem, diamond, etc) on a banner that u think u dont even need that char/card.
I love the Yoshikage Kira drip. Where could I get a tie like that?
Yes they do. Banned acc. Lost progress, lost effort. 😔
Yo that dancing at the end was fire !
New drinking game! Everytime Prof. Lando changes his thumbnail or tilte on his videos take a drink
The demonstration was very accurate indeed. My C10 Barbara is proud
That duplicate hurt so much and it's not even my money.
