- There have been many spectacular games whether these have been under classical, rapid or even under blitz conditions. The recent 2016 World Rapid and Blitz games was full of excitement but this clip refers to the blitz of the century and one among two superb chess grandmasters. The one was Wesley So and and the other is Garry Kasparov, one of the world's greatest chess players alive. This particular game is one that hit the history books as one of the most spectacular ones we have ever seen. Wesley So sacrificed two pawns, and two major pieces to find his way through to victory in a nail-biting encounter from start to end.
I love this channel. It never fails to put me to sleep. The voice is so calming.
Simply amazing to play like this in a 5 minutes game, it would take hours and hours for me to find those kind of moves
A truly great performance. I never saw a lot of it even with the chance to think it through. Amazing and flawless chess.
Kasparov got shredded deep blue style.
So seemed to have calculated his move, thus confidently crushed Kasparov. What an amazing skill which he alone did.
I really enjoyed watching the match. I did learn a lot from Wesley. It appears that Wesley had advanced moves that Kasparov failed to counteract. Every move which the latter did, Wesley had confidently crushed Kasparov to the end.
Nice analysis. Great game Wesley proud Pinoy. Mabuhay!!!
Wesley crushed this week another world champion, Carlsen.
Wesley played his 3-D chess to Kasparov's 2-D chess.
Hi A.W.Groom.. many many thanks for the great comments and feedback. I
am always looking at ways in which I can improve and I am always open to
ideas. Not everyone can understand the depth and explanation of moves
but I do try to reach out to the majority of the crowd....thanks for the
very positive comments once again.
love your breakdown and explanation of these games
the rebirth😇 or re-encarnation😱 of bobby fischer on wesley 😄
Blitz of the century indeed. Tal and Morphy could claim the game as their own.!!!!!
Nice camera focus on gary
The trick or recapture in the centre early on is called in chess "the elastic band". Its almost as bad as the Noah's Ark trap.
Pretty early in the century for the Blitz of the Century.
Very good attacking style of Super GM Wesley So against a former.World Chess Champion.
Who's here after the skilling open?
nice video
so genius
Have not seen Wesley competing in the more current tournaments. Is he still playing chess?
Yes, he just played in the Superbet in Romania. He is on top with 5.5 points along with Levon and MVL
15:49, the banner says 2016 US Women's Championship. Then Wesley and Garry are shown playing.
You have an eye for detail Wavemaker.. that is correct.. at the time the women's championship was advertised. This is the reason for that banner.
Didnt get the last part. There is still Q2Q option, Wesley will take Bishop to Knight check, then rook to bishop, then Queen to Rook Check. Should still be equal pins wise.
Hi Peter... can you please pass on the timing on the clip so that I can check it out? Thanks
Thanks for the response.
It is after the last move of Wesley wherein in Gary resigned, u can freeze it in 25:41, what's the next sequence if you go Queen (Gary) to Bishop, Q2Q challenge?
Wesleys next move ia not Bisbop takes Knight....but Q takes Rook check...then game over.
You know
Wesley so so
The thumbnail was like peak a boo
Wesley so easily outwit the former legendary world chess champion GK.
nakamura has talent to beat everybody. just lacks confidence.. poor guy
Nak will never beat Carlsen.
4:10...the Neo-Old-Modern-Indian? Sooooo...the new, old, modern (new?) Indian...baffling opening name
i cant see why kasparov resigned. please help
Am sure I had review this in the actual video.. I will have to have a look at it. I will let you know shortly.
@@GMThechesspuzzler ok thanks man
no body nows what he thinks.. very simple move but have alot of option ... means simple but terrible :)
wethley thou hhhhhhhh graet
Kasparov on his prime was the best and despite what these commentators might say, he is still the best. Just go back on time and let the prime Kasparov play against this new generation and you would get the real picture.
Let's use human cloning to re-create new copies of all the chess world champions and 2750+ rating players, have them play against each other at the same age, with the same training, and same nutrition and education.
Good idea; however most of the ratings are overrated.
Not relevant to the genetic experiment, chances are anyone who rates over 2700 at any time in chess rating history is of more-or-less grandmaster level.
magnus will destroy prime kaspa
magnus and fisher are easily the best humans to have ever played chess
