I just have to say I watch a lot of football podcasts but this is just a class apart, because it does not feel like it’s a formal podcast and you guys don’t seem like you trying to hard to create excitement as well, it’s just feels like a honest playful conversation about football with life facts between friends or football colleagues. Your personalities also jel so well, with Alan being slightly more old fashioned and reserved and proper Micah being absolutely bombastic and playful and Gary being the binding factor between the two being a mix of both and driving the conversation

Best football podcast by a mile. Micah for 75 million would be a push, but Gary & Alan are both worth over 200 million easily, and Shearer is probably about 15/20 million more I'd say

Wayne Rooney wrote a transfer request in the Everton canteen in order to force a move to Manchester United. Everton were (again!) In financial dire straits and wanted to accept a higher offer from Chelsea, but Wayne was only interested in United.
So weird hearing 2 sides and opposing opinions about a club, players and manager with Micah and Wayne. Bridge (he was on Crouchy's podcast yesterday).
Just on written transfer requests, in 2006 Wigan Defender Pascal Chimbonda famously played with a written transfer request slipped inside his shin pad and slipped it out at full time in the Highbury changing room (last ever game at highbury)
Wigan Midfielder Graham Kavanagh reportedly pinned Chimbonda up against the wall for doing so.
When asked about the situation, Wigan manager Paul Jewell discribed the letter as screwed up, torn and said when he first saw it, that he thought it was some form of origami 😆😆
Of all the podcasts I listen to this includes several football motoring & crime this with these 3 is by far the best as well as football it's also.comedy as they are just so comical keep the good work..Im 53 and I'm with Gary and no doubt Shearer I thought Micah was on about 7pm lol.

Loving the podcast guys! Have you ever thought of getting a guest on once every now and then? It doesn’t have to be a frequent thing. We’ve all seen footballing guests on the TV where they have to speak properly etc but to see some people totally uncensored on this show really would add an extra dynamic.

I had (what I assume to be) a language mix up as a fan.
Ordered the Villa home shirt from the club website for the 08-09 season with some printing on the back. I always assumed these were done by the club in house but I guess they must have used a third party as it turned up with numbers that said FC Barcelona on them. So got hold of the club and sent it back to be replaced.
A few days later get the package in the post and they’ve sent me the away shirt. So have a whinge at the club they tell me keep the away shirt and they will send the home one anyway. Finally at the third time of asking, I get what I ordered in the first place.
Why a language problem?
Villa’s kit manufacturer at the time was Nike. And Nike listed their sizes in French. The French word for man is ‘Homme’. So I can only assume some non football fan in a warehouse somewhere saw Homme written on this Villa away kit and figured it was the home kit.
A bit of a hassle but ended up with two shirts for the price of one so can’t complain…!
Rooney handed in a transfer request at Everton, when going to United. He talked about it with Tony Bellew. Think it was on a kitchen napkin 😅
