He's really rude to his bride, the wedding planner and especially to the vendors. It's unnecessary.
he seems sweet, albeit a bit rough around the edges. But he's been backed into a corner to have a big and expensive wedding that he doesn't want and is spending all his money on their house. They need to take a step back first and get him on board with the whole concept, or change their minds.
In my country, everybody is sweet and nice until touching the sensitive issue as money and budget 😅 . An angel possibly convert to be devil in second.😢😢

I really don't like it when " friends" know that you have a budget but are so eager to talk to you into a dress ( or something) that's 2, 3, 4 times your budget! She could've just kept looking for another dress that was more in her price range. You saw one bad one , so they were all bad?? There are plenty of dresses out there that were once worth $2,000+ but end up being on sale for less than $800! People always want to talk you into buying something, but you know good, and well, they're not going to help you pay for it🤷🏾♀️
IMO renting a wedding dress is phenomenal - eg a friend rented* a Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress for under $1K inc big alterations and bolero etc and it looked awesome... Also, nobody I know has ever worn their dress again - apart from 2 awesome women for >20 yr anniversaries.... IMO decade anniversaries should be more celebrated party wise/spend wise etc than a marriage because commitment is the test - love and lust are awesome ... and long-term stuff requires more of anyone than the 'Leap in the air Yeah' - if you can't quit, walk away etc you have to dig deep! Maybe I'm being too cynical here but famous people have a high divorce rate because they can walk away more easily without having to consider 'where can I live with kids' etc. EDIT - The rental included great alterations etc. And British Prime Minister's wife, Carrie Johnson (24 yrs his junior) apparently rented her very lovely dress* for under £200/$300 allegedly for ecological reasons.
*Lovely dress but want to say I personally dislike Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his 3rd wife Carrie. They are Conservative and pretend-woke, pretend-green/esp when means they/their friends make bank.
I 100% agree her friend annoyed me so much. If you know your friend’s budget why would you push them way past it? I think the only time it’s okay is if they’re willing to pay the difference.
I agree. While the dress did look absolutely gorgeous on her and she loved it, the friend should have respected the fact that she was on a budget. I do feel like most brides on the show go over budget on their dress though because it is such a dazzling aspect to the wedding but yeah...budgets exist for a reason.
1. To me the 1st dress looked good on her, but bitchy friend wanted a more expensive dress and talked her out of it
2. That whole shopping experience was a nightmare even without the budget issue
3. Bitchy friend is probably the type to judge a ring by its price over whether the recipient likes it or if it has sentimental value
I cannot think of anything worse than that shopping trip out of this entire thing... but then again, I hate shopping anyway.
Yeah her friend took the piss with that. Your friend has a budget which you knew and made her put on a dress that was way over the budget. What was the point of going to that store then 🤦🏾♀️

I didn't make it through the show. I made it to the wedding day and he had forgotten the rings. How over budget did they go. And how soon till they divorced as two such different approaches to money do not make for a happy marriage
With a wedding you are all in or all out. If you want cheap you go get married in Vegas. If you invite 150 people to witness your day they need to be fed and entertained!

I found him quite appalling and disturbing! She must realize who her whole life with him if she decides to stay she's always going to run into problems with him wanting to cut corners wanting to make things instead of buy things it's okay for some things but I found him to be a complete jerk but she puts up with it she has to live with him so be it

There is nothing more annoying than a cheap husband. She will end up paying for everything because he can’t see the value of anything.
I actually get where he's coming from. He's sunk all his money into their renovations and she wants to spend the rest and her own on flowers. Plus he probably has a few medical bills. I feel had they given him some rope at the beginning he wouldn't have lashed out as much.
I feel like this guy has gotten his way his whole life just by talking reasonable people to death.

My brothers friend is a firemen. And he does a ton of work for charity and volunteers for a number of great causes.
This groom would have been happiest if they got married and had the reception in the church basement with a couple of dollar store streamers for decoration and a grocery store clearance cake.

Both the bride and groom did not seem mentally mature enough to get married if I'm being honest. Glad they are in love though, hope it works out. The wedding planners were just plain unprofessional, I don't like how they spoke down to their client!
Wow people, just wow. Ya know my husband didn't care what I chose. I included him but he literally just said ya that sounds great. We had a medieval theme. I even picked his outfit. He was excited and happy the whole time. Even his kids were excited about dressing up. I don't understand the fighting. I didn't have a budget but still I was under $5k including all our clothing, venue, food, hotel the night before... 27 people total attended. Easy peasy. Super fun!
I think the problem is we're talking a lot more money. She is going over budget and they have the expense of renovations and the stress and expense of him being injured.

He's definitely childish but I don't think he's that terrible. In fact, I'm more annoyed by the wedding planners. I found their attitude toward him very dismissive and unprofessional. He's not their friend. He's a client. And their job is to strike a respectful balance between what he and the bride want, not to roll their eyes and gang up on him as if his concerns are totally invalid. Ewww...
I kind of agree, the groom was definitely childish and really obnoxious. However once it was discovered on why he was very cheap towards the wedding it was very understandable. I 💯 % agree with you about the wedding planners! They were unprofessional and very rude.
it's more about what the bride wants not the groom. So he wanted to save money where they can. The bride wanted it her way. She should have stood up to her friends about the wedding dress. They should have gone to another dress shop for the dress.
I absolutely agree and was scrolling through here to see if someone else felt the same way. The wedding planners had to stay within their professional boundaries and do their bit. I found them to be dismissive and rude.
This bride seems so sweet. Yet the groom seems like a controlling piece of work. I get that he has a stressful job but he is injured and off on medical leave. Give this poor bride a bone and a break.

he was trying to save some money. Even if the bride was paying, he was trying to save her money on some items. Never seen a cheese cake before. The fire truck was cool. Thank goodness they chose the closed in one. The cake stand worked out great.

Holy shit these shows get me every time! She didn't even want that dress. She didn't want to pay that much, but that blond hair girl next to her kept telling her that the cheaper dress looked like the price, which is not true it just wasn't the blond hair girls style. So the blond hair girl took it upon herself to pick out a dress that was much more expensive... the bride did not want to spend that much but of course she was talked into it. Friends that do that aren't your friends!! Only because your frind should not get you to go over your budget and spend more money that you don't have, or that you don't need to spend (sooo many lower priced dresses that are amazing)for example help the bride stay in budget and find a dress that is beautiful and that will still be in her budget and just help her get her confidence up more also. Obviously if it dosnt looked good say that in a way but not just say that then pick something more expensive you go a pick something that is in the budget or even a tiny bit over., but no the blonde hair girl was not accepting the brides answer about it being expensive... and a wedding is for 2 people not 1 I love this show but the girls that have it in there minds that it is all her choice what everything is,I feel it's nuts. Both people should have a say expeshially if the money is coming from both even if money is coming from 1 you both have to agree and understand that money should be saved in some areas. And be understanding when things don't need to be upgraded and upgraded and highered and higher. I understand that it is the one night of there dreams together but I think it could still be amazing and beautiful without spending alot of money and still staying on budget.

This is giving me a headache. All the noise and fighting. They should have taken the class long before planning the wedding. And I am not on the bride's side either. These are the worst "wedding planners" I've seen. They are supposed to be making things easier for the couple. Instead they are just encouraging the bride to go over budget and to totally disregard to groom. Why pay them for that?
Wedding planners often get a % from suppliers - albeit the planners often get a discount eg 10% discount and they get 5% of the 90% - BUT ensure they have connections with the better value suppliers.
Big mistakes on her part - she should have run to Mexico. 100%.
