  • Invisalign System
    The Invisalign system is a combination of proprietary virtual modeling software, rapid manufacturing processes and mass customization, and virtually clear, removable appliances or "aligners" that are used to straighten teeth.
    The Invisalign system is prescribed to patients through trained Invisalign orthodontists or general practitioner dentists (GP dentists). Align provides clinical education programs and the tools needed for orthodontists or GP dentists to offer Invisalign treatment options in their practices. Although treatment time varies by patient, on average a patient requires one full year of treatment - equivalent to 24 sets of Invisalign aligners.

    Impressive manufacturing process and how aligners are not missed/confused with other aligners. Glad to understand how my trays were made by describing each step. Love my Invisalign trays!

    Just started with my first tray. All i can say is super comfortable and invisible than i thought. I already falling in love with my aligners. It is really customized and super smart and easy to live with. I can’t wait for the result. Glad i chose invisalign. Don’t settle for cheaper smiledirect or others. They are not that good. Invisalign is so worth it!!

    I have an overbite, but that's not what I am worried about. The 2 smaller teeth next to my 2 front teeth are pushed back, and my front 2 are pushed out. I just want those 4/6 front top teeth to be in line. I am wondering if there is a way to handle those without the others if they're able. Because my bottom teeth are jacked up, but I don't care so much about them. Just the top/front 4 to 6.

    • @pacadet
      @pacadet Před 5 lety

      You'll need an orthodontist to review your case. Even if it only looks like a couple need to move, it's very possible they will need to move the teeth on the other jaw to ensure proper occlusion. Occlusion is the critical part, cosmetics really are secondary. Either way, Invisalign and normal braces can do the job.

    I sign up Invisalign in the beginning of march 2017. They already billed my INS. They already did the scanning of my teeth and all of that. It's now May and Iam still waiting. I tried calling my dentist office and they said that they would have to call Invisalign and get an update on my trays? I am confused on if I should call Invisalign myself. I think my dentist office just forgot about sending my stuff off in the first place.

    • @SherwinHabibi
      @SherwinHabibi Před 7 lety +25

      Good Q. Here's the answer: These trays are only as good as the planning that goes behind them. The orthodontist decides how your teeth will move, special extra features to add, and when to slow down or exaggerate a movement. Not to mention things like adding the white attachments on to your teeth and/or slendering teeth that are too big. The trays are just a tool - a tool that's success is based entirely on the correct diagnosis and treatment plan

    • @SherwinHabibi
      @SherwinHabibi Před 7 lety +8

      That is not correct. Once the impression is sent to the company, the orthodontist then modifies the final result and sequencing of tooth movements based on their education. Also, the manufacturing costs are much higher than what you stated.

I Boxed and the guy that did my mouthguarf would do 100's with lest technology and accurate and faster. so it just doesnt make sense with the time delivery, they have the money the man power and the technology and the backing now.

    • @pacadet
      @pacadet Před 5 lety +2

      Smile Direct is fine for minor cases like simple crowding and gaps. However, since it lacks attachment points or the ability to attach elastics, it cannot solve for complex occlusion issues like overbites, underbites, crossbites, etc.
