That's a tough decision but I think my vote is for the bullitt. The dark highland green is so nice. It's a unique color without standing out too much and you can't mistake it for anything other than a bullitt. I can't get over how sick those wheels are on the PP2 though.

I purchased the 2019 Bullitt. Love the car! I opted for the Magneride and the upgraded electronics package. I left behind he Recaro seat option because I like power adjustable seats. Also the Recaro's I think look too big in the car.
The exhaust system, brakes and overall performance is awesome! but no one mentions the audio system that comes with the upgraded electronics package. The B & O sound system is unbelievable to say the least! big mistake if you let that go by regardless of which Mustang you go for. I purchased early on in the release of the Bullitt, the Ford dealers here in Calif. were all asking a firm $10k. over sticker. With a little research I did found a dealer that quoted $5k. over, so I went with that. At the time of order/purchase last September, Ford was only saying that the car would very limited in production. No commitment as to how many? If I had to do it all over again for the cost markup, I would. The car was a want not a need. My second choice of Mustang would have been to fully option the California Special. Being from the San Francisco area, the Bullitt was too fitting to pass up.

WOW!! What a difficult choice. Two beautiful Mustangs that I would be satisfied with either one. At my age, I wouldn't be doing any track driving, so I think I would eventually choose the Bullitt. For me the Bullitt has more personality, being modeled after the Steve Mc Queen car. The GT is more affordable though, and will perform like a race car. As I said, its a difficult choice! Outstanding job on this presentation, Joe. Keep em' comin', thanks!

Thanks for the comparison video. I went with the Bullitt. The MagnaRide suspension is really worth the extra $$$. I'm in the NC mountains and the Bullitt stays flat on the curvy back roads in Sport. Switch to Normal and it's luxo smooth on the interstate. The engineers at Ford got everything right with the Bullitt!!! Great everyday ride and the performance in always there when you want it.

Great comparison, just what I was looking for. Looks like the PP2 car in your vid is based on a base GT. The PP2 Premium GT looks like the closest comparison to the Bullitt. Digital gauge pack, upgraded leather interiors. Seems like it boils down to whether you prefer the toned down look and Highland Green of the Bullitt (and extra 20 HP) or the track upgrades of the PP2.

Manuel Meh, sounds like pure hate/jealousy. The mustang are as “sports” car as it gets these days. Give me an example of a sports car... better yet a sports car sub $80k... the Mustang will outperform it stock vs. stock guaranteed.

This January I got the 19 BULLITT but in Shadow Black. The highland forest green was rolling out the driveway as soon as I went to the dealership, but I’m not mad. Black on black looks great, and I get looks left and right regardless. Besides, I’m no Steve McCool. Lol
I was close on getting the PP2. It really was a sight to see. Leather seats, active exhaust, race red. However the dealership had the markup over 10k. It was a ‘20, and they gave me an offer for the ‘19 I couldn’t refuse. The BULLITT came out cheaper even with the magneride suspension added.

Rear fenderwells loaded with chunks of molten rubber. I told them - park it no prep. What Can You do, Hampton Ford knuckleheads. No scratch on the DS door though. Enjoy your 2019 Matt. According to everything you said, I would choose the Bullitt with the optional magnetic suspension. I don’t really like the chrome details or the wheels but the chrome can be blacked-out and I could just buy the wheels from the PP2 and equip them with cheaper street tires and keep those for track use.

Hey Joe, I see they’re coming out with a new eco boost performance package with a bigger turbo. 330hp and a wider power band. I always thought a Mustang had to be a V8 but a lighter car , better gas mileage and 0-60 in the 4 second range could be tempting! I think they’re gonna have one at the N.Y. Auto show . Gonna miss it this year! Moved to Phoenix last August. The one here wasn’t anywhere near as big. Looking forward to your videos from it!

Interesting video... I have a 2016 GT Premium with Performance Pack (I guess you call it PP1) here in California. I leased it for 3 years and at the end of my lease, I purchased it. This care has 435 HP and 460 FT/LB torque, however it also has the 8 speed Automatic along with 3.73 gearing. I didn't see/hear what the Mustangs you were showing, but I believe they only have the 3.55 gearing with the manual trans... That said, my 2016 is super unique. It will dust any mustang with a 3.55 gearing and manual gear box. However, I'm also running 20" wheels which came stock from the factory with Pirelli P Zero Nero's in 265/35/20 all around. At the end of my lease after 3 years, I only had 10.200 miles on the car, but he Pirelli's were already worn down on the inside tread (all 4 tires) to the steel threads... As disappointing as that was and remembering how slick and uncontrollable the care was in the rain, I switched to a new wheel and tire. 20" all around but with a staggered 305/35/20 rear and a 285/35/20 front with Continental Extreme Sport tires. No longer do I have a traction control problem, but grip on corners I thought couldn't be achieved.Anyway, what I'm saying is, after 4 years of ownership and only 12,300 miles on my ride, it is well invested. I'm an old man by any regards today, I had my fun and racing back in the day, so I'm more about performance when needed, not racing. My Stang does the job and quite impressively so. What is weird is, the "Sticker" of my Stang does not mention any "Magna-ride" suspension or "Active Exhaust", however, when I tap the toggle to "Track" mode, the suspension tightens down along with the steering as well as the exhaust note. I believe it is the same, but I think Ford capitalized those functions as an additional selling point just to boost the price a bit.Back in 2016, my Stang was stickered at $46,235. It has everything, including Navigation, heated and cooled seats, pure leather. I just can't see giving up such a great car for later model years as they are unimpressive...

Bullit easy choice, it’ll become a collectable in the next decade and be worth twice or more than what it was worth brand new where I believe the gt’s will depreciate for longer before they become collectable there’s going to be hundred of thousands of them

The hardest choice i have, Bullitt or Ruby Red PP2, Magna ride for both, leather seats. I really want the Bullitt for the collector aspect and it being a special car, BUT and this is a big but, that Ruby Red color is undeniably the best color for a those mustangs.
You should know the Promotion came through, i can now afford a new mustang. I will be ordering a 2020 as planed, im just seriously waffling between Ruby Red and a Bullitt. Its the last choice i have to make. I am leaning to the Ruby Red more, but the sound of that bullitt with that GT350 intake gives me hen flesh.
    Great comparison and camera work!

Still prefer the Bullitt ... it is a latest interpretation of the old 1970 high performance street car while the PP2 is more like a track car ... really like the Bullitt’s clean front mesh with surrounding chrome, chrome around the window and the white cue-ball stick shift ... wondering if Ford would later release the Bullitt with non-digital, old style instrument cluster for more iconic one.
