    Hi, Im 4 months post in 2 weeks. Im able to master advanced drills, but is it good for the ligaments even tho i can handle it and theres no sweeling after? I could probably do it very well with the ´´final test/drills before return to sport´´ at this moment, and even tho the right knee is over 90% compared to the other leg doesnt mean im ready to return to sport?
    At this point i think im soon ready for the next stage, with explosive change of directions, rotation. im a soccerplayer

    • @physiorehab
      @physiorehab  Před 6 lety

      I would be waiting till 19-20 weeks and then START training for sport - not games. You will need 6 weeks training with sprinting, change direction, kicking, cutting, slide tackling etc BEFORE you are playing for games

    • @HuyRebel
      @HuyRebel Před 6 lety

      Thanks for answer. I think i will need more than 6 weeks training all that stuff...one thing is being able to cut, change direction and so on, but theres a huge difference just to do it good,- and actually being able to perform the movement with 95-100% intensity. I think im about 75-85% on the intensity of those movements, but next 10% will take me months and the last 10% even more months(like an exponential decay of progression.
      I had a full MCL tear too which was not fixed, i think thats a little issue as it seems to not heal that well. there are even visual gap in the medial right knee when hanging the leg loose while dangle it although it doesnt seem to affect much on controlled movements.

      @antoniskaravangelis8462 Před 5 lety +3

      I believe it is normal. You cannot wait to feel your injured knee like the other one in just 5.5 months. The entire thing takes around 9 months so just stay patient and positive. Plus you might never feel it like the other knee. You know it going to be just fine without any risk but still you may have light pain at some point.

    Hi , I had ACL and Meniscus surgery , Even after 3 month post surgery I am not feeling good , I am not able to fully extend my leg , after pushing leg towards bed for some time (15-20 min) while lying I can feel some extension (170 degree). Still the muscle stiff ness is there , while waking up in the morning I have to work hard to stand properly ( bcoz of muscle stiffness and all). A new exercise I am trying is like while lying on tummy I am putting some 1 kg weight cuffs on my calf this one is really helping but when I put my leg in sitting position or bend it for some time then every thing get back to where I started I again have to do all these exercises to extend my leg . I don't know when I will get this extension , no flexibility is there, first I am trying to get this extension then only I can look for hyperextension. Need some insight
