Yeah. Funny enough I had the same thing happen to me when I first started watching.
Honestly, if this is the only reaction they do for it, I'm glad they watched Breakout, since it brings the team together. I don't know if anything else is out of order, but if it's just the character episodes followed by the regular episode list then it isn't a big deal.
It's unlikely they will watch it anymore. It's not their real cup of tea.

Eden came a long way of saying he don’t like superheroes so he wasn’t that enthusiastic watching them to getting snippy when Jack said “f*cking $#!+” as a joke at the end.
The trifecta, THIS, Spectacular Spider-Man, and Wolverine and the X-Men could have given a chunk of the DCAU a run for its money…then they were all canceled around the same time.

One of my favourite show back when it was one and wished it got more seasons it was so good.
Never watched X-Men the Animated Series but with the revival of that show and Spectacular Spider-Man making a cameo on Across the Spider-Verse, we're two steps closer to the Yost-Verse (Wolverine and the X-Men, Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Spectacular Spider-Man) getting revived.

You know it really is such a shame that streaming services and such messed up the episode order so badly- the reason that it feels so muddled and fast-paced with all of the characters and action is because the first two episodes they watched WEREN'T the first two episodes, it was the 6th and 7th episodes that took place after you got to know the characters and settings, so it would have made more sense. The first episode was the Iron Man one they watched

Ok so the real so many characters are throw at you in these two episodes is that they aren't the episode 1 and 2
They've actually episodes 6 and 7.
Episode 1 through 5 original aired each broken up as mini episodes on Disney XD website and then aired still as mini episodes on the Disney XD block. Then episode 6 and 7 aired as full episode. So sometimes people mislabeled them as episodes 1 and 2
A lot of good shows seem to get cancelled and only have 2 seasons.

The theme goes insanely hard.
Main problem with the show is the beginning isn’t even the beginning. There was like 3 or so mini episodes that have set up to it. You see how Hulk got captured, mainly. Kinda important.
The episodes are actually in the wrong order because marvel had released a lot of the episodes that introduced the individual characters on their CZcams channel first and then the episode where they all got together came on TV.

Yeah, Avengers Assemble and the Hulk show with Seth Green were trash.
We live in a world where Wolverine and the X-Men, Spectacular Spider-Man, and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes all got cancelled before reaching proper conclusions, yet Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and Marvel's Spider-Man (2017) all got proper endings (or at least got to continue much longer).

When I first watched this show when it was on Netflix forever ago, the Breakout episodes weren’t first, the characters intro episodes were. So that’s how I’m used to it.

It's funny they praise Giant-Man when off the top of my head Hank has consistently been far, FAR more useful small than big in this show.
fr man, the only scene he got when he was Giant Man was lifting something up then getting manhandled and falling on the ground, I think they were referring to the MCU version who did way better as Giant Man

Love how so many people do not recognize the villains used in emh since they never really appeared outside of the comics, or if they did, not in a design like that. We have, zzazx, living laser, abomination, whiplash (the girl one), red ghost, copperhead, crimson dynamo, the wrecking crew, chemistro, the red ghost and his super apes, and griffin
