    Hi, and thanks for the video.
    I am successfully adding the Fyrtur Blind, but when the blinds are connected and operated by Homey Pro the IKEA remote for the blinds stop working.
    When i re-connect the remote to the blinds - the Homey Pro loose connection, and only the remote works. I have re-connected, re-paired, re-installed, re-booted, and re-everything multiple times but connecting one thing always disconnects the other.
    Anyone knows if this is by design (or the lack of it), or am I missing out of something?

    is there any app that has light control that allows the lights to gradually dim on and off as the day goes? I want to be awoken gently and be put to sleep naturally, thank you. I have the ikea system now, so if something is compatible that is great, but if you have another system that works, I would be happy. I dont want to notice the change in light strenght through the day.

    • @homey
      @homey  Před 2 lety

      Hey Panzer, if an update is needed for an IKEA device, this will need to be done via the IKEA bridge. However, it is quite rare for manufacturers to send over the air updates for existing smart devices. Often these updates are shipped with the new generation of the devices.

    Hi! I have 6 IKEA smart lamps already installed (on the same wall switch) in the ceiling. Think it is GU10 connector. Can I pair all of them together by toggling the wall switch 6 times (making them all go on/off simultaneously)? Or I have to take them down and pair them one by one?

      some of the ikea electronics have a fail-safe mechanism in which the device will shut down it self and cut the power if it faces a short circuit, the USB port chargers have that bulit-in, not sure if the blinds are included.

    Hi there. When operating the blinds with the Ikea remote in "Ikea mode" (by either connecting the remote directly to the blind or connecting the blind via the ikea hub) you can stop the blind while it is moving by pressing the button a second time. This does not work when the blind is connected through homey. Can you fix that please 🙏. Also, we need to be able to just start the blind moving up or down instead of setting it at a certain percentage. Please fix this too 🙏🙏
    So, to sum up, we need to have 3 more actions that we can add to our flows. 1. Start blind to roll down. 2. Start blind to roll up. 3. Stop blind. Thanks 👍

    • @homey
      @homey  Před 2 lety

      Hey Lars, thanks for the suggestion! I've passed it forward internally, hopefully it can be added in a future update. For the Up and Down controls, you can use the % position and use 100% or 0%, but we are indeed missing a 'Stop' Flow card which i've requested to be added. :)

    • @homey
      @homey  Před 2 lety

      Hey Stefano, sorry to hear that. IKEA Tradfri lights have been well tested, and these should be working without issue. Are you sure you are following the pairing process correctly? Depending on the strength of your Zigbee network, it can help to pair the Bulbs in proximity to Homey. Once paired, you can move them further away, but it needs to remain in range of the Zigbee mesh network or in range of Homey directly.

    I can anyone advice not to use Ikea Smart Home gear. Made the mistake of using it all over my flat. 1.5 years and a switch to the new hub later, 2 smart power switches and one light broke down completely.
    Most fun though, that the hub casually forgets every connected device from time to time, with no power cut. This means the devices are still in the app, but you have to remove, reconnect, name and assign EVERY device. Most fun are the ones you need a screw driver for. Too expensive for single device use, but unsutible for real smart home applications, unless you have the time to reinstall the whole setup every 6 month or so and have no problem with gear breaking down within a year...

      @@cocotug0 Im not sure what Måneskin is tho. but yes its the same sound on most words. Its ofc hard to type, but th phonetic is [o:]. You say it from the throat as you breath out. So its a pretty hard sounding letter. A good example in English would be saying "oh my god" the first sound you make in "oh" is a Å. So you wold say "ouw" and then remove "uw" to get the Å sound.
