I was the salad lady in the cafeteria when I was in college. The recipe that I used was called Country-Style Tomatoes. It was exactly the same except that it called for green peppers cut in thin strips. That was good, too.

Oh yummy! My favorite kind of salad, I totally forgot about the little bit of oil, I also do a creamy one with mayo, sugar, pinch of salt, and garlic pepper with the same exact ingredients, and my cucumbers are cut a little thicker. Beautiful job Jamie!❤❤❤☺️👍
He said he wanted to do the dressing in a separate bowl so he could taste it for seasoning and then he didn’t taste it before putting it in the salad 😅

Um, he said he wanted to mix the “dressing” separate to see if it needed a little more sugar or salt…1:23…but he never tasted it to see? Jack, Jamie’s son, must get his gentle, polite, mature manner from his mom…Because his dad is always a hot mess lol…Immature and dramatic and so self-absorbed. Everything is all about him lol. “I’m an artist (caught) in a cook’s body…” Yeah, ok lol.
Jamie does short sweet excellent and to the point videos all while working in the very busy Chicken box. He likes color in his food..thus the ‘artist’ comment. Keep up the great work Jamie😊

Just the same but I use rice wine vinegar and less sugar.
I use Apple Cider Vinegar, all the rest the same :) SO GOOOOD
I love this dish but I omit the oil. For those of you that haven’t tried it without oil, give it a try.
I cheat and use Italian dressing and add parm cheese. One of my favorites along with cucumber and onions
I make it the same way my mother did. Peel the cucumbers, use thinly sliced onions, balsamic vinegar, evoo, sugar, s&p. Sooo delicious.

I like to put cucumbers and onions in a container with 1 cup white vinegar, 1 cup sugar, and 2 cups water. So good!
