Ups! Colleen Atwood all the way!
Edith Head .
also Jacqueline Durran
Is Edith Head✨
EDITH HEAD has 8 WINS
That's the way to do it. Recognize the Costume Designers that go unnoticed for their contemporary work. Nicely done Ms Powell.
The Young Victoria has great costume design.
Not as good as Inglorious Basterds

SJP looks beautiful and Tom Ford is soooo handsome
Sandy Powell’s work is always amazing
Probably should've gone to Bright Star, honestly, as those costumes were more vital to the characters and story and it would've been a nice tribute to Janet Patterson and her collaborations with Campion. Powell didn't need another one of these, master tho she is, but I loved her speech honoring the largely ignored work of contemporary and low-budget designers.
She should've won for Cinderella
Tom Ford is gorgeous
god, Tom Ford is insanely hot. Being said that my personal choice that year was Bright Star, a superb work by Janet Patterson
So elegant
Miss Two of These.
That presentation wtf
Could you post Sandy Powell winning for Best Costume Design in 1999?
The White Ribbon deserved a nomination
That is true
Jjoo 2024 now.
she’s the best 🤷🏻♀️
Inglorious Basterds should've won
Inglorious Basterds should've won
Ir wasnt Even nominated.
ok random youtube comment , you propably know better then the 750 costume designers who voted for the sandy
@@3l237 Most members of the Academy have admitted they don't even watch the nominated films, just check off the obvious nominee among the group.
And yes, had it been nominated, "Inglourious Basterds" was far more deserving of the award than Sandy Powell's work here. Of the actual nominees, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" or "Coco Before Chanel" were the best.
Yep. Steve Martin presented Sarah Jessica Parker as a "horse".
Could they have seated her any further back?
Paris 2024.
