Try to visit and go to the Philippines im sure you will enjoy there because of Beautiful Beaches,Like Boracay Island Palawan,Bohol and especially the foods coz Its More Fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭
No way, you are in JEJU, Congrat.
The Squid Game also announcced JEJU for holiday, if they live more there life in Show.
Stay long long long time and enjoy there.
This cruise is no longer operational! Hopefully, someone reads this and saves themselves the headache 😅👍
I would recommend visitors to use the flight service to Jeju rather than the ferry. Wanted to add some personal experience using the ferry after this video from Lisa and josh. Although I appreciate the highlights of the ferry, the lowlights should also be emphasized for people planning for this trip to know before actually committing to the 11 to 12 hours ferry. BTS you will be told to leave your room by 5.30am while still out in the sea (shaking violently). Despite, the comfort of the bed in the special room, the boat is unlike a cruise ship and it can feel like you are sleeping on a Viking ride in the opposite direction most of the night. The common facilities is limited to the convenience stall and you are not allow to dine in your room (there is a fine). After checking out of your room at 5.30am, you have to wait for the the ferry to reach its destination and for locals to disembark first. Lastly, with the arrival timing of the ferry at 6am, it will be hard for passengers to catch a bus to the airport which is 30mins away for your rented car (if you are renting). First available bus is at 810am😅. If I will have a second chance to Jeju, definitely a flight. This is my personal experience and is in no way to shade what Lisa or josh had experience, just wanted to let others who are planning to be aware of the downside
I wish you write some honest blog, or just vlog it❤
150 dollar for 2 people with hotel+transport 12 hours is a great deal. I'm so doing this when I'm in Korea and Busan next time.
Agreed! There are also dorm style rooms too we looked into as well, but what a fun journey
@@LisaAndJosh was it shakey at all? For people who are sensitive to motion sickness.
@@Xentradi97 actually not really! When we got on the boat, at first it felt a bit odd, but once we got moving, we didn’t notice anything and slept quite well.
I hope you enjoy Jeju! Just a bit of a background for Jeju, Jeju is an autonomous region in Korea that kinda governs itself when it comes to most things while still being under to mainland for some stuff. Jeju maintained a culture that is kinda different from most of mainland Korea for almost 4000 years. This is why some aspects of Jeju culture is different from the mainland and even the native Jeju language is considered a different language albeit with vocabulry influences from the Korean mainland.
Jeju used to be called “Tamna” which was a Koreanic kingdom separate from the mainland while sometimes being under the control of the Southern Koreanic dynasties. Tamna (Jeju) is believed to have emerged around the time the earliest Korean kingdom in the mainland emerged which was Gojoseon (2333 BC) while Tamna emerged as a separate Koreanic kingdom around 2000 BC too. Tamna later came under the influence of Koreanic dynasties in the mainland and was later annexed and incorporated into the first truly unified Korean nation of the Goryeo Empire (918 CE) as a vassal and protectorate and was later included as part of the successor kingdom of Joseon in the 15th century.
👍👍 to this extra background info you provided! Korea has such a long and deep history.
👌 Excellent!
This is exactly the learning we all need, thank you for taking the time to share this!! ☺️

we can always count on you! :) 🥰 🤙🏼
@@LisaAndJosh for sure!!!
What an amazing experience, you are making it hard not to head to South Korea!!
South Korea has been such a great surprise for us!
You are doing things right! Agree with Lisa that it’s both transportation and accommodation! I didn’t know that this type of option existed from Busan to Jeju!
Yes! Makes the journey so much more enjoyable 😊
It’s a great option if you’re not under time crunch or affected by seasickness. I think there’s a route from Seoul/Incheon as well.
웰 컴투 제주..

멋진 한국 여행 되시길요👍💜🇰🇷✌️🇺🇲😅🙋♂️
Thank you!! 😊
As a former Korean living in So Cal, I am getting all these useful info of where to go n what to do in Korea from your channel. Last time I went to Jeju island was when Ronald Reagan was the president. 😁
As a Korean now living in Philadelphia, I can say that a (recent) trip to Jeju was really refreshing, beyond my usual visit to Seoul, Gwangju, etc. Hope you get to go again, to get an update from your trip in the 80's 🙂
using hairdryer instead of micro lol you can just hop down to the convenient store inside the hotel building and ask if you can use it. I'm sure they won't mind haha
We thought about that after 😂
It’s somewhat ironic that the fight from Gimpo airport in Seoul to Jeju is probably the most hassle free airport experience you could ever have. I know you guys were in Busan but still. Ferry looks cool though. I’d like to try it sometime.
I'd love to join you guys at the sky view cafe. 😍😃 The hairdryer torch works well. An amazing tip.👍 Why it seems like only 1.5 min. but 15 min. Btw, I'm so glad to see all of you guys look healthy and happy even though you guys have been to Korea for sometime. I wish you all have a wonderful time in Korea. 🙏🌸🍀🌸🍀🌸🍀🌸🍀
If you come to Seoul, Korea, you will be able to enjoy another much more beautiful night view right in front of your eyes than the usual view of Namsan and Lotte Tower. In particular, if you go up to Eungbongsan Mountain and Geumho Mountain in Hawangsimni-dong, Geumho-dong, just a few kilometers between Cheonggyecheon Stream and Seoul Forest Park, you can enjoy badminton (get off at shin-Geumho Station or take a taxi) and there are many beautiful and delicious foods. Also, if you walk slowly for about two hours from the place called Dulle-gil starting from Maebongsan Mountain in Geumho Mountain, you can reach Namsan Mountain This place is very close to Gwangjang Market Jungang Market. It is close to Seongsu Bridge, Hannam Bridge and Dongho Bridge on the Han River. Therefore, it is very close to Apgujeong Station on Gangnam Station. I hope you have a wonderful and beautiful trip to Seoul

All are welcome to sky view cafe 😊thank you for watching! Traveling in Korea has definitely made us happy 😃
Jeju used to have its own character back in the day but now it just feels like mainland Korea. Nonetheless still a nice place to visit. Enjoy!
I think that development of transportation make it same to mainland 😅
Oh my gosh 3:12 The island next to the Harbor is where I was born and raised and I haven't had much chance to go there since I moved to Seoul(for the past 17 years).Oh I miss my Hometown, miss the ocean.. Thank you thank you so much for visiting my Hometown❤❤❤
Wow! That is awesome-what is the island called? It must be beautiful! Thank you for watching :)
@@LisaAndJoshThe island is called 'Young-do' ('do' literally means an island). I hope Korea is being nice to both of you while traveling.. Have a safe journey!♡♡
Excellent choice with the ferry and its beautiful views. Also, downing a Tsingtao and some hot Shin Ramyun at an *actual* table truly wins over eating an airplane meal! 😑
Yes!! It was so, so perfect for us 👌🏽

Beautiful Jeju :)
You guys! I didn't even know this was an option but we're thinking of coming back to Korea to go to Jeju and this looks like such a great way to do it, especially with Hays. Thanks for putting this on our radar!
The ferries are so cool here! :) definitely one of our favorite ways to get around, for sure!! I'm sure Hays (and you both) would love it!!
Thanks so much for sharing. It's on my bucket list. Visited Busan in 2015 for several days and loved it. Had the live octopus dish, which was surprisingly delicious, probably because it was with friends at around 1am. :) Have a wonderful time.
that sounds so good!!
Thank you for visiting Korea
I hope you have a wonderful time
thank you so much!!
We travelled from Italy to Greece and through the Greek islands on overnight ferries. We loved it. We got a night’s accom and travel while we slept. Plus it felt like we were more immersed in the culture and places of each country; rather than just another airport. Great video as always guys.
We took a ferry in Greece, but never tried an overnighter, that sounds awesome!
Great video! ... i will need to try the blow dryer technique to heat up my food :)

Uploaded 7 mins ago! I learned about your channel today through the Onepack Wanderers and was on a marathon and viola! A new video when I just thought I watched all your recent episodes. You two are so genuine and likable as hell. Happy to subscribe!
Hey there! We love meeting friends through friends ☺️Thanks for finding us and watching!
This is 100% percent what we want from you! Your thoughts, budget breakdowns and random eating in your accommodation. Non-requested 5 cents, started watching when you were doing the camino de santiago and loved the format but have to admit I skipped a few AUS episodes as it wasnt as engaging - felt a bit like you were doing the whole look at what gets other people clicks (seems you watched a lot of K&N) and then replicate it... Probably will get cussed out but basically wanted to say love watching you guys and please stay true to you - super exciting to see you guys gaining views exponentially in SK!
Thanks for the feedback! We totally get the sentiment-we are definitely learning, evolving, and growing as we go, travel, and make these mini movies! And sometimes we love trying new things! But we are hopefully finding our groove ☺️
Who knew just how multifunctional a hairdryer could be?! Great video as always, and slowing it down by taking an overnight ferry was a great idea. Its a travel experience in itself. After a while, planes and airports just blend and blur into each other as a means of getting from A to B (with a whole lot of stress and hanging around to boot). Taking the ferry, is well, like proper travelling, embarking upon a journey, creating a real sense of time and space. Its definitely about the journey and the sense of adventure!

12:48 The best moment in this video
welcome to jeju^^
When former U.S President bill Clinton visited Korea, Jeju Island was so beautiful that there was a famous story that he went around twice on a private plane...
The views must’ve been incredible! 😍
I've always exploited overnight ferries and trains especially if they offer private sleeping births/cabins. You get accommodation and travel for the price and onboard meals are usually good. I love train travel with a dinning car. You get more room than on a plane, you can explore and get some exercise, sleep on a bed versus a chair and eat at a table than on your lap. It's not all about the destination.
Oh and the memories. A lot has changed in 10 years. Many, many more tall buildings and crowds. Love this series.
I can't wait for the next vlog in jeju. 😂
Coming your way soon ☺️
This video is especially beautiful.
Thank you ☺️

A ferry to Jeju Island Busan is such a long way taking more hours than
a ferry from Yesu or Mokpo. Yesu held Expo and a beautiful city during a night.

Hi!! I'm planning on going to Jeju in ferry from Busan, however I still don't know if I can buy the ticket of the ferry in a web page or until I arrive to the port? How did you bought your tickets ?
I heard there's a 90 min express ferry boat to Jeju. The passengers without any luggage probably had them in their cars parked in the boat.
yes, it departs from Jindo where locates western side of korea.
overnight ferry to jeju departs at Busan or Incheon.

Hi there! Thank you for watching!
We are visiting Jeju this spring. Could you tell us Where is the up-to-date port of MS ferry Busan to Jeju? I found it’s really confusing because some ppl said they changed from Busan Port International Passenger Terminal to Busan Port Terminal. They are more than one hour away from each place.😂
Could you please explain the ferry pricing? Did you pay for the tickets as well as the room or does the price of the room includes everything? I’ve seen that they have different kids of rooms but not much explaination on the internet
Hi guys, thinking of taking this ferry myself in the Fall. Was it difficult to get tickets? Are the different ticket options available in English? Would appreciate your help!
Hi Daniel! Great q!! Since we couldn’t really figure out how to book the tickets ourselves, since the phone service with the English option was closed on the weekends, we actually ended up going to the ferry terminal to look at our options. We couldn’t buy tickets in advance, but we got to the terminal a few hours before departure the next day and easily purchased our tickets.
Here is some more info:

MS ferry is the ferry we took. There’s a foreigner tab with some info in English :) and they have the types of accommodations, photos and fares listed there.

Your hotel, if you’re staying in one, could probably help you make the reservation, but we went in person and it was no problem (But josh also just likes to do things the harder way 😂)
Could u include how much u paid for the store and food next time ? Awesome vid ❤
Hi Roksana! We include our daily budget at the end of each video, hopefully that helps :) we aren’t always super descriptive with the store and food specifically, but maybe you can find the costs you’re looking for there
Love this and hoping to do it this fall...how did you book it? And what's the company?

@@LisaAndJosh Thank you for the information!!!
Unsettling as this sounds, those hammers (also found on buses) are for breaking out the windows in case of emergency exit. I'm assuming the ferry hammers serve the same purpose and the bus hammers.
thanks for sharing--we have since noticed them quite a bit as we've been traveling through Korea
Watching this video, I can't believe that in Ontario we do not wear masks. So relaxing, that I even forgot that there is flu or covid. So my next travel plan is Toronto and Lake Superior. That will make me feel more relaxed than any international travel. I will postpone my dream travel to Korea to better times if they come:):(.
Question for you - where did you book your tickets? We were trying to follow in your footsteps and get the cabin, but the ferry website is in Korean : ) Did you buy tickets via third party (i.e., direct ferries) website or did you purchase in-person in Busan?
Hey Shad! We purchased our tickets at the ferry terminal in Busan. I think there is a way to purchase them by phone (with an English option, sometimes) but because of the timing we ended up just buying them directly at the terminal a few hours before our ferry. Here’s a website with some contact info-hope that’s helpful english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/TRP/TP_ENG_3_2.jsp
