I don’t understand all the negativity in the comments, at least from our own fan base. Was last year disappointing? Yes. But there were a myriad of reasons why our record was what it was! The first 2 seasons were WAY better than literally anyone predicted they would be, and I genuinely believe this year will put us back on that track. Our defense lost us at least 2 games last year if not 3, and they look stacked this year, tons of new offensive talent between transfers and freshmen, not to mention LaNorris is a level headed, mature, big body, dual threat! This isn’t a hopeless team, I think we’re actually gonna surprise a lot of people once the season starts. Go Gamecocks!!

Agreed but also gotta look at it too from the standpoint everyone can look good on tape or bad on tape and do the complete opposite in game or once they join the University , they can have their break out or fall off year at any moment, there's so much talent out there now in high school these guys are hard to spot and recruit when you do find them we do not have the Nil to buy them the ways other schools can. There's so many factors.

We'll never win a championship here based on that guy's attitude about this team and it's not just this guy٫ it's our whole fanbase. The pessimism in our fanbase is a serious problem that needs to be discussed more.
Hopefully no team anywhere wins a championship because of their fan base… a fan base can boost morale and we can rock Williams Brice buuuuut at the end of the day the coaches and the team wins games and we have everything we need to win games. We’re going back to a bowl this season there’s no question about that but don’t start a comment by leading with “We’ll never win championships here” while stating it’s based on that guys attitude….. Sellers will win a Heisman here… that’s not outlandish it’s realism

Not really the tone around here is 6 to 7 wins, its expected that this is a rebuild and next season is generally seen as one where a step up is expected.

Mike Norvell is 5 years younger than Beamer, and he’s been far more successful. Norvell was winning double digits games at Memphis as a head coach when he was in his mid thirties. Beamer’s 47! Beamer’s age isn’t the problem.
Norvell is at a school with built in recruiting in a state filled with solid recruits….not even comparable with South Carolina.
@@MrGamecockFan21 Memphis and FSU were both garbage, before Norvell arrived. The state of South Carolina is also a recruiting juggernaut. Just look at Clemson over the past decade. I just think we need someone a lot more experienced and has a proven record at winning at this level. Beamer is not the answer!
