    I'm sick of buying waxes and sealants that underperform durability wise, so I'm going to have to finally get Fusso coat as It has such a good reputation. Think I'll give that glass sealant a go as well. Cheers for the video Paul. Car looks fantastic at the end. Whiter than white! 😎

    Keep watering it and it’ll soon blossom into an Audi 😂
    I’ve been using some Soft99 lately too and been very impressed, really interesting stuff and all a bit different to what we are used to.

    I have three cans of the original Fusso soft 99
    It is hands down the best
    The trick is to apply it thin thinner thinnest.
    I’m not kidding
    Go to heavy you will get high spots
    Leave it on to long and it’s a real pain in the neck to get off
    I applied it let it sit until I started to see a haze
    Used a micro fiber to buff it
    Then used a second micro fiber to make sure I left nothing behind
    When finished I went over it it one more time looking for anything I might have missed
    Don’t use this on plastics
    As for durability I do two coats 24 hrs apart and it does last a year.

    I'm ashamed to say I was bought a tin of fusso coat dark 2 Christmases ago and it didn't get used until last weekend. I wasn't expecting the gloss it provided from something so durable, my car is white also, and it's done a serious amount of filling too. Very impressed so far.
    I've just ordered some fusso speed and barrier, the glaco compound and sealant so I'm looking forward to trying those.

    Hi Paul, I'm interested in using the glass compound and protection sealant. Have you tried using your wipers at all, (I appreciate that you shouldn't need to with this) as I know that if you put Rain X on some front screens, and then find that you do have to use the wipers it can make them judder very badly whilst using them, I know Peugeot do not recommend any kind of Rain X style protector.

    I applied Ultra Glaco in October and it was still performing at around 31mph up until about a 2 weeks ago when I replaced it with Glaco.
    I was told that Original Glaco was supposed to work at slower speeds so applied that. Didn’t polish this time just claying etc. But the performance is worse. Not sure if this is to do with prep or that it rained an hour later or that I applied over Ultra essentially. Will start again, when we get more than 5 hours without rain. But Ultra seems to be superior.
    Was the water behaviour filmed on a different day as my instructions do say keep dry for 12hrs

      The protection is strong but machines cut through ceramic coatings so as for wax, your first pass won't exactly cut great due to the slickness but with a coarse pad and heavy compound its not that difficult. I've tested this many times.
      Just enjoy the video pal, it's not about what happens after it's a helpful video on how and why to apply it, not a video on how to remove it.

    • @M.E63
      @M.E63 Před 2 lety

      @@jonnyshielldetailing so far every detailer has always said strip the protection with chemicals or like a strip wash before you polish, they always teach you to strip any protection before any polishing , so basically your telling me I can skip that step before I polish ?
      I will be polishing my car soon and there’s strong protection on it , not ceramic but a good protection, I can save time and money if I don’t need to strip the protection

    • @jonnyshielldetailing
      @jonnyshielldetailing Před 2 lety

      @@M.E63 ok buddy, so the decon process will degrade any wax considerably after going through the iron fallout and tar and glue process followed by clay batr.. tar and glue is a solvent and will certainly strip protection. You are going to be able to test the panel by seeing the water behaviour on the final rinse.. IPA the surface then check with spraying water to see if the water is beading or not. if so your success has been achieved. If not then do a polishing set and wipe off using an ipa or apc which will tell you once you've applied some water to that area and if its flat with no beading. You are removing clear coat and it won't take alot to strip it. the reason why they say it must be completely stripped is effects the rate of cut as the wax will make the pad aquaplane over the surface. it's not as scary as they will make out pal.

      The abrasiveness of that compound is strong enough to remove contamination bonded to the glass and very different to paint, where you could affect the result with contamination in the pad.

Also make sure you use a high quality clean microfiber cloth min one to 3 cloths per panel .
