This is a great tip. I'm restoring a '67 Mustang with my Dad. We plan on using Mustang II front suspension and this will be a great way to add big brakes. Thank you
I’m glad I can help! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help!
Awesome to see some more II content!
I’m glad to hear it! More to come!
Nice! I'm so happy these cars are making a comeback and people are going through the process of figuring out what works to build them. When I started building mine there was no information out there and not too much aftermarket support so I had to buy multiple parts multiple times and I wasn't always able to return stuff that I didn't need or I destroyed perfectly good parts trying to get something to work so needless to say I spent wayyyy too much money on my car that I'll never get back but it was purely out of love. So again 👍🏼
Exactly! I’ve bought countless parts in hopes of making them work just to find out they won’t, so if I can help anyone out and streamline the process then I’m happy to do it!
wilwood damn that's some quality :P
Probably the most quality part on this build lol
Luv the video. Much appreciated. What brake rotor do you use for the rear ? Also is there a similar setup for 4 lug wheel guys ? Thanks.
I think speedway may sell a 4 lug 11” rotor but I’m not positive! For the rears I used Quick Performance’s 9” rear end disc brake kit that uses the GM metric caliper but I’ll move to the wilwood caliper now. I don’t know exactly what disc their kit uses but I want to say it’s from a Granada or Versailles?
Say do you know anything about using mustang ii/pinto spindles on fox bodies? I want to use either this kit you are showing or Brembo's? thanks
I’ve never heard of it personally but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done!
Now is that with the stock master cylinder and brake booster?
No it’s not, I guess I never did go over that 😂 my set up is a dual wilwood master cylinder because my car has a coyote swap.
