The Economics of Being a Musician

I made this video about the confusing economic situation of being a professional musician.
There are many fundamental realities of being a musician that they SHOULD teach you about in music school,
But which we all learn ourselves through years of gigging, teaching, and trying to make it work.
I hope that through putting these thoughts together, I can inspire someone not to quit,
or help someone who is just starting out gain clarity over how to walk the path.
There is no rule book to being a professional musician. No set path. No guaranteed way to make it work. But you can work smarter and more efficiently by understanding the situation.

The music at 7:53 is definitely Keith Zizza esque! Love it. He composed alot of music for Sierra games in the late 90s. A great youtube video that gets right to the point and some nice production flourishes. Definitely make some more of these!
