Hello akain, I am about to upload a video that shows me removing the red engine cover. The video is about changing the spark plugs and coil which is underneath. The cover also covers the fuel lines and high pressure pump. I do have a video when I removed the fuel injectors but some of the parts were corrupted and I couldn't upload all of it. To remove the fuel injectors, you will have to remove the throttle body, the intake manifold and the fuel rail. The fuel injectors are connected to the fuel rail. Thank you for viewing my channel! @@ElginLim Hello, thanks for the response, I managed to remove the red cover, and see the problem with my Alfa Rpmeo 159 2.2 year 2013, it has a fuel leak.
Fuel leaking from the supply fuel line is common for the 159. There’s a L shaped connector that you should change too as it is always leaking from there. I have a video where i replaced the fuel hoses there, have a look at it. Thank you for viewing, hope all this helps Please subscribe if you have not, helps the channel.
Hi bro, 6 months ago after replacement of injectors old hose started to leak after one day. Changed it and it was good until the weather became too hot I believe. It's standard fuel hose and I believe I will need stronger one, but I'm worried why it's making so much more pressure at all...
Hey bro, You might need better hoses. R9 would be good. Weather does play a part. The pressure of the high pressure fuel pump is 30bar on reading which is normal. So good hoses are important.
Just discovered today fuel leaking at the connections, dripping down like rain.... Thanks for doing this video. Will removing the battery give us my re space to work on? Nowb try to get the feul hose first.
Hello, Thank you for watching my videos. I am glad I could help. Do try to get the best hoses possible. SAE R9 would be the best. The other part you can look at is the L-shape connector that is the quick coupling to the pipe. Sometimes they leak quite bad too.
It turn out to be the quick release plastic connector on the back has perished, the yellow puch button cracked once I push it in. I see you don't have one, may be I will just connect with the clip as per your method as I don't seems to be able to find the right replacement connector.
You can buy the connector coupling from aliexpress or Amazon. The internal size is 7.98 mm. Google fuel connector quick coupling 7.98, should pop up in the search @pingstudio8235
hi bro, thanks for your instructional videos. What were the sypmtoms that prompted you to replace these parts. Has the engine given a warning (engine light) regarding fuel pressure?
Hi bro! Thanks for viewing my video. Hope you found it helpful. Well, Symptoms were just leaking of fuel and strong petroleum smell coming into the cabin! Please subscribe if you have not. Thank you again
Hello, If you can’t get R9, try to get as high of a rating as possible. I used R9 because it is meant for fuel injection and I didn’t want to have to do it again. I think at least R7(50psi) would be better. I got my R9 from eBay Uk, see if you can order from there. Please get good quality ones. It is a pain to have them burst while driving. Cheers! Thank you for watching!
I have the exact same issue on my 2.2JTS @ 275,000kms. Will try to fix it. Thanks for posting, helps a lot!
No problem 👍
You will have to get good hoses
Good job Elgim as always:) a mechanic real state agent can fix everything in life :)
Thanks David! I do what I can to help others and save money at the same time.
i have same problem with this hose, 2.2 jts , and i love this sound
Haha, yes. Got to get good quality hoses. Now no problems at all after so long.
