Let's take a look at iscsi on TrueNAS, should be a simple setup, or is it?

Hi Gary. I choose this video to comment because it's your latest and you probably have you eyes on it. Thanks for all your efforts helping everyone in the world of BSD! Would you: do a video on getting freebsd full-screen in virtualbox and vmware player? I have installed everything needed and still no full-screen. But also could you show a bare metal Installation? If I can't get in full-screen in vb or vm that I can do a bare metal install but whether i do a legacy or gpt install it install fine but then it says it can't boot either way. No Oas is useful to me if it can't be full-screen.

    Good video.
How did you escape to the terminal line and also keep the GUI installer on the screen (at the same time)? Or maybe I interpreted what I saw incorrectly.

Gary, what are the new features planned for FreeBSD 14? I can't find a list.

If the Pentium system is a bit older it could be that the M.2 port is only setup for a M.2 Sata drive. In that case an M.2 NVMe will not work.

I would agree however it is a sata m.2 drive 😞

@@GaryHTech Hmmm, then it should have worked (if it fits). B-Key is M.2 Sata and M-Key is NVMe and then there is B+M-key (2-lane NVMe / Sata). Only thing you can still check if there is a setting in the Bios that sets the M.2 slot in either B or M Keyed mode. Otherwise I am afraid it is indeed a faulty drive. ..... or M.2 slot.

@@leonmerts702 indeed, it's not the drive as it works in a m.2 to 2.5inch caddy, I can only assume it's the m.2 port 😞

@@GaryHTech Maybe it is "just" a bend pin header in the slot. Not the easiest to repair but not impossible. If not or there are to many pin headers bend / broken then it is RIP M.2 slot.

@@leonmerts702 this pc is a Lenovo m710q so it's a 1litre sff, there is another m.2 header but no connector soldered on. It's entirely possible that there is dirt in the connector, I may give it a clean when I can.
