  • From his home base in the city of Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand, Ian Taylor's work takes him to some of the most exotic locations in the world. In this funny and engaging talk, Ian shares why life becomes so much easier once you decide where you want to live.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

How does this help on deciding where you want to live? It was just him telling stories about the past? QUite odd.

Worked with Ian for 7 years on a business that we founded and later sold. Through all the ups and downs, it was a privilege. Fond memories.

A positive place to be when we can look back, see the Positive, release any negative, and hold Appreciation in the Now.

You should probably rethink the title of this video.

I agree with some of the other comments, heading kinda threw me off... but, otherwise I enjoyed this video and think I got the message. I have always believed when you decide where your lifelong home is, there's always room for improvement and that's where you can come in. I don't know if that's the message you were trying to get across to people. Thank You, and being a Ted Talks which I enjoy these videos I've subscribed.
