  • CLAREC invites you to share your dreams and struggles while pursuing your degree at Cambridge, contributing to our “Cambridge Great Expectations” art exhibition to mark Women’s International Day week.
This collective art exhibition consists of participants adding their thoughts and feelings to the Cambridge “degrees” templates, available in electronic and print-out versions, then displaying their “framed” degrees on the blue boards at the back of the faculty’s ground floor, where the vending machines, coffee, and social area are located. By the end of Women's International Day week, we hope to see a full “wall” displaying a collection of Cambridge degrees, allowing us to learn more about ourselves and our peers' hopes, dreams, and struggles. You are also welcome to take a picture and share your work on social media using the tags #cambridgegreatexpectations and @clareccam.
Although originally intended to highlight women’s struggles in higher education, all genders are welcome to join in: Pip’s and Estella’s alike. Non-students are also welcome to participate and find their own way to share their joys and challenges working at Cambridge.
📍When: From Monday the 4th March until Friday the 8th of March
📍Where: Faculty of Education, ground floor, vending machine/coffee/social area at the back
    How to join in:
Get your hands on either the electronic template of your Cambridge “degree” or the print-out available from Monday (4/3) at the Faculty of Education. -
Express yourself in words, drawings, or any other way.
Print a copy of your 'degree' in full A4 size and add it to the collection on the blue boards near the coffee area on the ground floor of the Faculty; alternatively, if you are not in Cambridge, work on your electronic "degree" and ask a friend to print it and bring it to add to the collection.
Take a picture of your work and share it on social media using the tags #cambridgegreatexpectations and @clareccam.
Watch our exhibition growing together throughout Women’s International Day week.
