  • Home workouts vs gym workouts, the great debate continues! While each one has its ups and downs, I have left the gym scene and moved to fully work out at home.
    After years of experience with both gyms and home workouts, here are my insights to help you decide what is best for you. Guess what, 90% of you will probably only need your home for your workouts, and I explain why in this video.

    Excellent video Brother, I used to work out at home (in my opinion, BIG mistake) why, because at home you always will have the freedom to either working out or not, you are alone and nobody can judge you, by the other side, you have the ability to socialize more, in addition you can even make new friends, talk to others, look for friends tips, and at least of course, to make a routine out of it (which again in my opinion, is GOOD)
    Thanks again from Austria Brother!

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Not really. While it could be an issue, if you have a way to create a great enough stimulus for the muscle to fatigue and later build muscle at rest, equipment isn't a big factor. However, depending on the exercise, you may need additional equipment to generate that stimulus based on your personal strength, training, technique/skill, etc.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety +4

      I personally only workout at home. Squats will be the #1 exercise and make sure you perfect the form. If you want to build muscle you have to eat enough calories and protein to get bigger muscles. Also don't forget progressive overload or just increasing intensity over time.

    • @GamerBody

      So many variables to that question. The main things to focus on are consistency, progressive overload (aiming to improve with each workout in some way), and recovery which includes sleep and nutrition.
      I'm not sure where you are and your end goals, but it can take quite some time to see a drastic change. However, stick to the plan and you will get their as long as you keep aiming to get better. It is you against yourself and nobody else. Keep it up :)

      While both great exercises, the are both horizonal pulling movements. You will want to find a way to get in a vertical pull into your workouts as that is what creates a wider back. Lat pulldowns can do this as well with bands. I just prefer pullups

    Gyms are a waste of time for most people. A lot of people turn up between 5-6pm, the gym is packed and you have to wait for practically every station; waiting while some chump idly checks text messages, taking 20 mins to do two sets of leg press is no fun. What counts is consistency, particularly with diet.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 2 lety +1

      Agreed. Most people would benefit with just simple exercises done at home for 15-30 minutes a couple times a week. If you are looking to compete a gym may be needed depending on the sport, but the average person really doesn't need the gym, they just need to add muscle since you will begin to lose it as you age leading to other issue.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety +1

      Remember the process is not as fast as you think it is. Marketing has made it seem like you pack on muscle very quickly when it takes years!
      That is why consistency wins out. Remember the aim is to get stronger and use progressive overload (intelligently) to continue building muscle and getting stronger over time.
      3 months is not long enough to see big changes. You should start to feel stronger and better at exercises, but you will need at least a year to see good improvements at home or in a gym. Remember it has been almost 10 years since I started in a gym then moved over to home workouts. Keep up the good work!

    • @GamerBody

      Count to 3 and go. I've never been one to hype someone to workout. I just provide information and the person can make the decision. For me, I got sick of feeling bad for myself and that was enough of a push to get me to workout for 11+ years. I know most people aren't like that, but know that once you go for a few months, it gets pretty easy to continue after you begin seeing improvements.

      No worries. My recommendation is keep it simple now and figure out when you can workout first. From there, pick the equipment you want to use and if you don't mind traveling or just want to get out of the house.
      For me, working out from home has been a huge improvement in my life, but there may be other reasons you don't want to. I just got sick of traveling to the gym, then waiting on equipment.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 2 lety +1

      Doesn't matter. The focus on resistance training workouts should not be to burn calories but to send a stimulus to the body that it must build muscle.
      The workouts themselves won't burn a meaningful number of calories. It will burn calories, but less than you think, and ultimately it won't really change how much body fat you lose. That will come in a calorie deficit over a period of time.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 4 lety +5

      This all depends on what you are doing, your current training length, your programming, etc. Yes you can definitely build muscle at home as resistance and tension along with nutrition and recovery will produce he results. Why wouldn't you be able to build muscle at home? Your brain and body just know that it is under stress and needs to adapt.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před rokem +1

      Home workouts allow you to build muscle and strength when done correctly (same as a gym if you can provide a great enough stimulus). From there, the muscle built, (regardless of where it was built) can produce more contractile force, but skill will also be a large factor in how powerful and safe you are able to perform the movement.
