This car is crazy popular here in Japan. Have seen a ton of em. Wish they brought in the Toyota Noah/Voxy/Esquire. Imagine a 4WD van that seats 7 comfortably but is small and nimble enough for city roads. Plus hybrid powertains as well.
In general, 4WD isn’t really needed for our roads (for most people). It only increases fuel consumption.

buy this raize and do the following upgrades: full sound damping, rigid collars, spring buffer, engine strut bar. goods na goods na tong raize
But that would make it expensive though especially for full, thick sound deadening
All car buyers have their preferences, we can't say that this is not a good value car for it's price when others say that it is well priced for them. I'm not saying that Toyota's before and nowadays are not overpriced, just like iPhone being expensive, but people would still buy it. even though it's not alot of features compared to Samsung, they'd still buy it.
edit: just found out about Yaris Cross, its 100x better than Raize Turbo.
Have this car its good,Power is surprisingly more than what you expect, Specially when the turbo kicks in And the paddle shift is nice to use in overtakes, You do feel some oversteer during descending curves when you travel light but that feeling disappears when someone seats at the back or are carrying some heavy load.

It’s hard to suggest the 1.0 Turbo given its price. Price aside, it’s really good. I haven’t tried the 1.2, but the Turbo is really fun

Have a demo unit you should give yours a try maybe they can give you a test drive, We got this car when it was fresh from the market because of reviews from japanese reviewers plus it felt nostalgic since we have an 97 2 door rav 4 they are kinda similar for us despite being 2 different cars from different era’s. Anyway i really enjoy this car as my daily driver city car since its economical. But mind you it can do its fair share of long distance travel.

Please review the GAC GS3 Emzoom. At the price of the top-spec Raize you just mentioned, a mid-variant Emzoom isn't too far off.

The apple carplay/android auto menu orientation can be set from the settings between left/right hand drive option. Maybe because it's a JDM?

Not a fan of the Toyota brand but gotta say, I am impressed with the Raize unlike with their new Wigo. This thing just makes sense with the right amount of tech, fun and practicality it gives you. The 1.2 G suprised me the most tho with how much value you're getting for the price it asks.
Tho yeah can't blame you if you're not sold with this being a value for money proposition given the price is getting closer to some small crossovers like the Coolray tho between a base model of that Geely and this, would probably go Toyota instead. Versatility-wise, it is as noteworthy as it could get especially having 200mm of ground clearance despite its very small size and the capability of being fuel-efficient as well, something we all know the Coolray isn't.
It would be a different story if we were to talk about the Emzoom tho, knowing how GAC is very underrated but the Chinese brand with the most well-built cars among its peers. Might not even consider this at all compared to that 👀
Agree with you on the Raize vs Wigo part. Base Coolray vs this though, I'd probs still lean towards the Coolray.
While I haven't driven the GS3 Emzoom, at least on paper, the Emzoom wins by a long shot.
The only thing Raize turbo has over base coolray is fuel efficiency which is to be expected on a CVT and a lighter car. All other else belongs to Coolray. Looks, interior quality (not plastics all around, Performance in not even close, Safety, NCAP rating, Techs and considering Coolray is already 4 years in the country and no MAJOR issues is encountered. Parts availability is also gaining grounds on the Geely as more and more NON CASA is importing parts that only take week or so to arrive.

With the recent price increase of the Raize to Php 1,063,000 while MG ZST offering a promo (Php 1,088,888), even the GAC GS3 Emzoom R Style (Php 1,148,000 after discounts), does the Raize still offer better value for money due to the reliability and durability offered of the brand?

@@AntiJEVsInPHIf I got it right, PH supply is not affected. Plus this comment was written before the scandal (if memory serves me right). Despite the scandal, Toyota has responded to it so future units should be better. At any rate, any buyer from this point forward would know, should know, what the issue was and should factor that in before making a decision. To me, the Raize is still on my list of future secondary cars.

@@KyleLiongCars i mean 5km per liter is really bad to be honest. Yesterday i went to Taytay Rizal from Bicutan Paranque i got a score of 99 with 19.7km per liter. 🤣 thats the best i had so far lol my usual trip is 15km per liter

i'll go with the Coolray..... Power, Design, Built quality, Features and Price.... all goes with the Coolary.... The only thing going for the Raize is the Toyota logo.... but it is actually a Daihatsu.

Would've preferred a 1.3 4 cylinder engine of the vios rather than a 1.0 3 cylinder turbo engine. A lot of car enthusiasts doesnt have a positive opinion of 3 cylinder engines

It's new, but the design already looks outdated if you compare it with its rivals. The only selling point of this vehicle is that it's a titoyota 🤢. I Also saw this vehicle in person. The sound of the hood closing made me chuckle. The "clang "sounded very cheap and hollow. The doors feels very flimsy and light lol. The vibration is freaking horible and the NVH is super super bad.
