Lovely country Todd and NeeNee. I was two years in Malaya with the Army early 60s, 1RAR were there with us. I have fond memories of South East Asia. Loved the people, very nice to me when i was a young soldier. Finally married my darling wife from the Philippines. Guess you're still in Newcastle, Todd and NeeNee, ? Bob.

Bless your hearts for taking clothes up to those little kids. Did you find out if dad made that knife himself?
Such beautiful mountains, it's a shame that they burn the forest like that. Here in the desert western US the mountains would never recover from a burn like that.

Hey brother! I'm so proud of you and Neenee,,and everyone who can afford to donate,,for the clothes and school supplies. I never fail to be touched by the reactions of the kiddos and the Moms. The view from the mtn top was glorious,,,but you're correct about the slash and burn method of farming is still being used. The reason oxygen producing rain forests are being taken out all over the world. When its poor individuals with hungry kids you can understand and empathize,,but in the Amazon,,a lot of it is done by big greedy money grubbing commercial farms. Sad ,tough situation. Those big log posts were very cool as were the tables! You know what I crave , brother! Lol that big long table would have been perfect in that great river house,,with the 8 square miles of covered space you took us thru a few weeks back. I did truly love that place. Looking forward to the next Aus update! You offered the secret key to success for vloggers,,feature music from Jimi and Bob,,,and you have a winner! Thank you Todd,,for all you do to keep us entertained,,even on your back home trip. Much appreciated! Truly! Be safe,,Ttyl,,,Marlon

Quote of all quotes. So true. Say it myself on a regular basis.
On a side note. Many a DJ set I have played or heard that. LTJ Bukem back in '95 sampled it and it became a massive track in DnB scene in the west and south of England. Never heard the original other than from the film. czcams.com/video/fA69L_7nRKU/video.html

Todd, you and your wife, are overly generous. It may seem like simple clothing to us. But I'm those will be treasured forever by those kids. When you see burn hill side. I see farm land. Unfortunately they can't plow under in that terrain so the burn is a way to clear for next year's crops.

Thanks for helping our Hmong village. But seeing the mountains being slashed and burned it saddens me. Laos is much mountain and a small country. Soon the soils will be eroded and washed away and the people will not have fertile land to farm feeding the villagers.
