- In the high valleys of the Bolivian Andes, the Kallawaya doctors have a unique know-how, legendary throughout all of South America, that has been transmitted from father to son for centuries. Max is a well-known Kallawaya doctor. Today, he will teach his adoptive son Johnny the secrets of the Kallawaya medicine. Together, they travel on foot across the mountains, from village to village to heal those in need, thanks to the natural power of plants.

That ending with the church having 'bad energy' was so accurate
my thoughts exactly
well it does look creepy straight out a horror movie i can only imagine what the church did to the natives over the years
Hi🙋♂️ I'm from India
Respect their dedication in collecting natural medicine.🙇♂️
It went like breeze this about their medicine traditional and conventional, the environment and the simplicity of the people.
Thanks very nice episode from Slice's Team.

I love this channel. The quality and content is just amazing
Why do pple not want to live like this? What's wrong with having simple beliefs? Why do we need to know everything? One of the best. Pple need to learn this language so it's not lost.
Beautiful video, thank you!

Watching from Nepal
What a story. That kid will be such full of primitive medicine knowledge. SLICE, thank you.
Primitive sounds derogatory. I would say Alternative or Traditional 😊
Traditional medicine is the best.
dude, this is cool
👏👏👏👍👍👍🤗
What was the herb's name for fear?
Medicine - pharmacy , sorcery ,spells , wichcraft , drugs
Slice is so much better than Vice
Keeping natural remedies secret keeps people in the big pharma shops. Why keep it secret ? Give the knowledge to those willing to learn instead of dying with all knowledge in you.
Same practice of keeping secrets is in Nepal they say if u tell the medicine it won't work
@@tekbahadurkhapung6664 I think is done so they feel superior in someway. Is like holding some secret power over somebody's head and that's why pride and stupidity go hand in hand.
san pedro cactus is the cure
TOURISM DESTROYS YOU DO NOT MIND
Which language is it ? Portuguese or Spanish, I guess.
Where in the video? Portuguese is not normally spoken in the Andes.

11:27 That's not true from what I've heard of. Where did you hear that?
Their language has an Italian intonation🤔
🙁
If your basing your analysis from the kid talking. He was talking Spanish with a heavy Indigenous accent, using a lot of Quechua words here and there. Also, Quechua has a mostly fixed accent intonation. The accent being on the second to last syllable of a word. A bit similar to Italian.
There is bad energy in that place.
