My opinion is to retrieve anything and everything from the wreck, clean it, preserve it, and build a museum around it. "Lusitania's" final departure from New York is documented in film and negatives. People died there in horrific ways, but the fact remains, there are no human remains on that wreck today, just the things they touched and encountered. As a significant piece of dragging more lives into World War 1, "Lusitania" should be recognized and solemnized. The wreck will be pulled apart by fisherman and dissolved by the tides without recognition. That will be the worst resolution to her fate.
I never thought the wreck would still be here today. This is beautiful
Wonderful video! Thanks for posting this! Great photography of your boat and of the wreck. It’s always very dangerous and risky to dive these shipwrecks. Many divers have lost their lives doing this. Thanks again!
thank you!
Beautiful Diving, someday I Pray
Rest In Peace to the Lusitania and all those who died onboard with her😢
Just subbed to your channel. I wIt to congratulate you on the superb edit for this piece. Lusitania is very special to me. I always loved this ship. I have done some Lucy related material on my own channel but the underwater material truly makes this a gem. Kudos. Music choice is really enhancing.
Thanks for the sub!
Nicely Done.
Killin it Barney!! Nice one bro!
Appreciate it!!
will u retrieve these items from the wreck? it would be great for the coming interactive museum around the world
That's up to the Irish government and the wreck's owners.
@@aocfishman00 and u know what the response will be? "no" thats not how people should remember history by onl talking about titanic so they better say yes asap
@@aocfishman00 Hi there, is the BELL still down there or was that retrieved?
Has pursers safe been recovered?
I believe Oceaneering recovered it during their salvage operations in the early 1980s.
Has much ever been seen of the inside of the wreck? I hate the current condition that she’s in.
Much of the interior has pancaked on itself, so there are only limited areas that have access.
BBC- don’t show the bombs !!!
bombs? lmao yeah ok
Are currents the only reason she is in so much worst shape than say the Britannic? HEck i'd even say she is in worst shape than Titanic.......
Currents are a small part of it as is the shallower depth that results in more exposure to storm influences. But the biggest impact was the commercial salvage activities and depth charging of the wreck after its sinking. Those had significant impacts on the integrity of the hull, and hastened her collapse.
@@aocfishman00 so humans destroyed it in other words? Its so so sad that this beautiful ship is in such a mess compared to others.
