Much of the modeling is already finished and we're now working on refining, optimizing, and importing into the engine. The ship itself is looking stunning and has performed well on max settings on medium-to-low-end systems. We've begun work on the sinking animation, which is one of the last steps for production.

I have a disability that makes doing things like visiting museums pretty difficult, and I just want to say thank you! I can’t tell you how exciting it is to be able to view this all virtually. I only wish more exhibits/museums would follow suit!
A tear brought to a Glaswegian's eye.
I'm so proud that something is finally being brought forward to remember Glasgow's contribution to Shipbuilding history.
I live right across the Clyde from the fitting Dock the Lusitania was outfitted at... I understand your sentiment.
I'm sure LUSITANIA will be popular as TITANIC in this 21st century! Because LUSITANIA deserves more respect and gratitude from our ship fans out there! Thank you once again and I hope someday LUSITANIA will become a Hollywood or British Motion Picture of this century!
yes exactly what I was thinking man we need a red carpet but noo not happening and forgotten
yes, some might disagree but I want to see the Lusitania's interior recreated in a movie because it's beautiful😍
@@nanxyrose there has been a Lusitania movie if I’m not mistaken, but it just didn’t have the craftsmanship the titanic movie did, sadly.
@@corpsescornah6524 yeah watched it years ago I just want a new one so they can recreate the dining room with more details😅
I've always Loved Lusitania's 1st Class Dining Saloon, more breathtaking then the Olympic Class.
Tom, Your PR skills have grown and matured. You were always a great story teller. Now you knocked it all out of the park. Your vibe is missing in THG posts. Thank you for this beautiful project.
Great to see you and Titanic honour and glory are still friends👍
Wonderful work, recreating James Miller's stunning interiors from 'Lusitania'. Writers have commented that she was the 'prettier' of the two sisters, compared with the somewhat 'formal', but grandiose equivalents on 'Mauretania'.
James Miller was a prolific architect and designer in Scotland and much of his work is still available to be enjoyed today. Sadly, two buildings have been lost recently. namely the Scottish College of Commerce in Pitt Street, Glasgow (latterly the Police Headquarters - demolished) and my own local railway station in Troon - partly destroyed by fire last summer. However, as architect for the Caledonian railway, much of his work survives including the extension to Glasgow Central Station, and the stunning Railway Pier Station and landing stage at Wemyss Bay. For examples of his interior designs still in existence and eerily reminiscent of 'Lusitania' the former Anchor Line Headquarters in St. Vincent Place in Glasgow (now The Anchor Line Restaurant) has been very sympathetically restored with the vast majority of the features retained . The similarity is incredible. Another Interior. which makes yo feel yo are on 'Lusitania', literally are the public areas of what was once The Royal Scottish Automobile Club in Blythswood Square in Glasgow, now the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel. The main foyer is almost unchanged. Miller's most ambitious work, perhaps was when he won the architectural competition for the International Exhibition held in Glasgow in 1901. Sadly the spectacular buildings designed by Miller were temporary and were demolished after the Exhibition closed. This current project on 'Lusitania' is a triumph in progress, and I cannot but agree wholeheartedly with the positive comments and encouragement from all those who have taken the trouble to get in touch.
Glasgow can be proud of its craftsmen and designers. Her birthplace (John Brown & Co.) at Clydebank has gone, but a giant hammerhead crane is still in situ and can be visited and scaled...
Looking forward to seeing the progress of this work - and I would certainly buy whatever becomes available!!
Every success from the land of 'Lusitania's' birth...
The images you guys gave us in this video are outstanding! You guys are doing such an amazing job! It really sounds like a great team! (Especially with Mike onboard) ;D
I'm very excited for this, hope to be able to check it out soon!
Just Amazing. My neighbor when I was a kid came over on this ship when she was a young lady, one of the last trips before the sinking. She passed away in the late 80s. Of course, as a kid, you don't know that you should ask her the questions you would ask today, or ask to see photos. Back then, "oh, that's cool" and run off to kick ball with your friends.
My jaw had dropped throughout all of this! Tom, Emma, Levi, Liam, and all the wonderful team this is brilliant and I cannot wait to see the final majestic ship! You all worked so hard on this; you deserve to be so proud of the Lusitania :D
I think we are all very excited about this project
@@petermcgarrymusicandflying it’s definitely going to be a great one 🙂
I am based in Ireland. My CZcams channel features a few Lusitania short films. Here is a one that concerns an event in 1954 close to where I live. I am planning far more extensive Lusitania content from June onwards. Subscribe and stay tuned.

Wish there was a book of the same nature as Titanic: The Ship Magnificent, but for the Lusitania and Mauretania. As for this game, it would be truly special to see a Mauretania made in the future. They are my favorite sister liners; complemented one another wonderfully.
What a stunning preview of the magic you have created in bringing RMS Lusitania back to life! Having followed your phenomenal work for several years, living near Southampton, England after an upbringing in California, and being an avid collector of ocean liner memorabilia, models and paintings, your team's work is a dream brought to life. How you all have captured the exquisite detail of this gorgeous ship, from the carpet designs, chair fabrics and paintings, to the exteriors, machinery, and even the dimples on the metal of the ship's funnels, is exquisite. The light and airy decorative scheme of Lusitania, compared to the darker, rich features of her running mate Mauretania, made her slightly more popular and we can see why. This is similar to what we see today aboard the current Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria in the Cunard fleet, where the QE is more light and airy in her Art Deco motif. Even the forward boat deck windows of Lusitania have a distinctly Edwardian craftmanship that Mauretania lacked. Having one of these in the collection, salvaged in 1982 from the Irish Sea, it is a miracle that the glass is still intact, save a large diagonal crack from the trauma of the sinking, degradation of the wreck, and years underwater. Despite this, the beauty is still very much there and something your team have visually resurrected. If you or your team find your way to Southampton, I would be happy to show you around and support your visit. It is a much different, understated, yet extremely rich maritime enthusiast community here. Please keep up the amazing work so we can pass this torch of history to future generations.
Bless you all for giving another life to such an important rivet of the maritime history. Bless you all for being happy in doing so and making us all more so.
Gosh, she looks absolutely stunning thus far!! Can’t even begin to explain how excited I am for this 😍
indeed
Absolutely stunning work. Wow. Can't wait.
Follow you every chance I get. Not only is this project spectacular so far, but you and your team are recreating digital history for future generations. We have all seen the black and white, grainy photos and films of these liners, but you are bringing them back to life!
This actually looks really good! I can't wait to make a tour around the "Greyhound of the Sea". Thanks for the update, Tom. Oh and also, Happy New Year.
this looks so freaking good!
can’t wait to experience it after all your hard work 👍
So amazing to see. I’m almost more excited for this then Titanic. I’d never get tired walking around these works of art.
It's a shame the ship's owner Gregg Bemis never got to see this. I was able to meet him in 2015 for the Centennial event in Kinsale and he was so generous with his time and access. He brought me along to a couple events that were for descendants only as well giving me his personal business card if I ever happened to be in his native New Mexico, sadly that never happened. His diver Eoin McGarry was also so generous with his time and was glued to Gregg the entire time. I cannot wait to see the final result of this effort guys, you really are phenominal.
Such an extremely talented and dedicated group of people! You're a blessing to the rest of us! Thank you!
Thank you. The public will love this virtual museum!
Can't wait to see this complete great job on working on this hope you have a happy new year 🎉
Imaging how the original designers and architects would feel seeing this labour of love.
Happy new year, Tom , Levi, Mike and the rest of the team!. Really looking forward to this, the first class dining hall and the hull details look incredible~
Tom, this is your calling man, I hope you make many more virtual museums of ships in Unreal, Seeing the Titanic in Unreal engine for the first time was one of my best video game experiences ever.
So much to look forward to. Thank you so much.
Very excited!! Finally some love to the wonderful but forgotten liners, Lusitania is one of my favourites along with olympic
(Forgot to mention but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!)
Will there be a version of the ship before the war? Seeing those Grey/Black funnels depresses me a little since that was how she looked right before her demise, so I am hoping that there will be a version of her before the war.
Great work!
Those two ships, RMS Lusitania and RMS Mauretania are so special for me...
I feel happy that talented people like you all are together to make it come true!
It is a wonderful job the one you all have done so far.
Wish you all, the best in the whole world!
Greetings from Brazil.
You people are just amazing! Happy new year!
Astonishing job you guys doing here! Looking forward to the finished project 👍👍
Remember LUSITANIA is 5 years older than TITANIC. This ship of LUSITANIA has never been made into a Hollywood movie for over a century and because LUSITANIA is almost the size of TITANIC it does deserves to have new generation and LUSITANIA will never be forgotten forever!
We all hope that someday on this 21st century, LUSITANIA will make her Hollywood or British film debut in movie theaters to bring sadness to our eyes as it was once May 7th 1915 on the Irish sea of the British War Zone. LUSITANIA: A NEW MOTION PICTURE‼️🎬 🎥 🎞 🎟 🍿
Also if you have seen the British movie A NIGHT TO REMEMBER (1958) with the RMS TITANIC. There is a beautiful man's song of NEAR MY GOD TO THEE that was used in that 1958 film, I actually use that 1958 song for the 18 minute sinking of LUSITANIA. And one last thing, there is a wonderful song that I love it's A FLOWER ON THE SEA. It was used for the TV documentary film LOST LINERS (2000). The song A FLOWER ON THE SEA is for the LUSITANIA victims and survivors to this day.
Incredible! I can't even fathom the size of this project.
Looking forward to this and April.
This is awesome, thanks for your dedication.
This is super exciting, I cant wait to explore the ship!!
Happy New Year and may all your hard work pay off, I think that folks like yourself and the team make a big difference in this project, what you have shown so far looks so life like !!
😍SPEECHLESS. I can't believe this is coming, you guys are doing incredible work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Those relief carvings are amazing - as is the whole project. Realism is all about the details and you guys nail it! Will stick by you all, looking forward to what already is a WOW 😲 experience
Unreal Engine 5 is such an amazing piece of software. We've finally reached photorealism and the ability to bring history, such as the Lusitania, alive again is very exciting indeed.
I live near Kinsale! You should come and see the lusitania museum, and the titanic museum in Cobh, so much maritime history around the coast of Ireland🇮🇪!
Tom this looks insane brother. I cannot wait to check this out! It’s gonna be so cool to check out a lost liner that never got the same attention as the other one! Really looking forward to this! Hope you had a great Christmas and a nice New Year! I really am excited to see what’s gonna come out of 2022!
So excited! Looks stunning 🤗
Wow this is an unbelievable project. This looks so realistic. I really hope this will get the acknowledge it deserves. Thank you all so much for replicating history in such detail.
Thanks for this Tom! And thanks for the work and dedication
Looks amazing, as if someone went back in a time machine and photo/vid the actual ship...
So well done....
I'm really looking forward to this experience and I'm glad to see the new priorities you guys have set out. Do you plan on having both a pre and during-war livery available on the exterior?
Great work, looks amazing so far!
Astounding work! 2022 is looking up already! 👏🙏
Welcome back Tom and team, only just found your channel. Amazing as always. As I mentioned in comments about the titanic a few years back, you guys will be part of these ships history. As more and more schools and museums will start to offer VR tours (meta verse) of the ships in the future.
I’m blown away. Keep up the amazing work!!
Ambitious and amazing!
This is unbelievable
Wow, this model looks good so far, I would love to explore the Lusitania, in addition, I would love to see a CG model of the Andrea Doria, exploring all of the artwork in the public spaces, I wish you luck with the Lusitania virtual museum.
Amazing work
Looks amazing! Great job!
The Lusitania (nicknamed Lucy) was as famous in her old glorious days like Titanic is to us today. Lusitania truly deserves a movie like Titanic was in 1997 to get the public's attention at how brutal the sinking of Lusitania was during the First World War.
Those views of your work gives me chills, it's awesome! I wish you all the best, keep going!
I can't wait to tour around the Lusitania Tom! First best news of 2022 for me - YAB Professor Erfee Ismail from Ocean Liners Singapore😊👍
My hat goes off to you lads once again. Hopefully one day the engineering spaces might get modelled, as the engine and boiler room spaces are my favorite spots on a steamship.
keep us updated great work
Imagine such virtual museums not only from Titanic and Lusitania, but also Queen Mary, Queen Elisabeth, Normandie, Bremen, Vaterland, etc
virtual museums are no longer the future but the present
As a Merchant Mariner of going on over 24 years (the days of Loran) I am looking forward to taking the tour.
Incredible! Beautifully done.
This is simply amazing. I would say your team has achieved as much as Titanic: Honor and Glory has in these 9 or so years. For a team that is both smaller and has existed for less time, I would say that this project and the team working on it is better than Titanic: Honor and Glory in almost every way. Keep it up!
Titanic Honor and Glory had bigger plans than this project to be fair. Like a story, sinking, Southampton, New York, Carpathia, 100s of characters, building the whole ship (titanic being a bigger ship), etc. Lusitania is only exploring the ship.
@@ulyssesgrant4324 I'm saying that this project has achieved much more in 1 or 2 years than Titanic: Honor and Glory has achieved in it's first 2 or so years.
@@AndyHappyGuy Oh I read it as all time. My mistake.
Absolutely extraordinary work by all of you! 👏 👏 👏
The Lusitania and her epic story is such an underrated event in the 20th Century and deserves so much more attention than she's given by the media and in our educational system.
Anyway.........looking forward to the next installment video in this project.
My second favorite liner after Titanic :) visiting the Lusitania, would be a fantastic experience !!
For the most part everybody has been going off of that famous colored interior scene and a couple of photos as the only indication of this room's true scale. The first-class dining room is a real treat to see in 3d for me.
watching closely. You chaps are legends !
Stunning
Lusitania is one of my favourite ships off all time I’m exited 🤗
Truly amazing.
Cant wait to see this!
The "work in progress" looks dope!
Great job 👏 guys happy new year 2022
Wow !! Fantastic looking work ! The First Class Dining Salon is beautiful. I’ve always preferred the interiors of the Lusitania over Mauritania. She had lighter and brighter colors whereas Mauritania had dark heavy paneling and colour schemes. People of the day always said that Lusitania had the feel of an “ English Country House “ as opposed to the Mauritania’s heavier “ London Men’s Club “ looks ! I can hardly wait for the finished product !! Kudos to you Thomas and your team ! The project is a wonderful and fitting tribute to Lusitania and all who sailed on her !!
So that's the name of the song. As if the music itself didn't fit Lusitania perfectly already, its title even further fits the passion that you guys have and are putting into bringing her back to life. She looks great so far, and it looks like there will be even more detail than I ever could have hoped, right down to the weathering and algae. We've got two of the great liners looking to make their big debut in the digital world hopefully in a few months from now, and all I really have to say is keep plugging away. 2022 is in many more ways than not looking to be a fine year, and I hope it is for all of you. By the way I just got Britannic. :D 👍
Thanks for also having the top of the funnels Black and the bottom dark grey
That made a few people quite angry when I first mentioned it about a year ago. There were even a few video tantrums in reaction.
@@PartTimeExplorer I think part of the reason there was backlash was Histobrick using that light grey, which is what people thought you meant.
@@AltereanReviews It's hard to get colors perfect with Lego, since there isn't a wide selection
happy new year everyone!
They've done this in just over a year, a small fraction of the time that Titanic project has been worked on. Can't wait for both of their releases.
This shows what can be done when a project isn't mismanaged, when you don't run it as a business pretending to be a passion project. Tom has learnt a lot from his experiences at THAG and seems to have taken on board a lot of the comments from THAG investors. He comes across really well and composed here.
Que lindo, nossa, vendo as animações fantásticas de vocês, se percebe como era charmoso o Lusitânia.
Ansioso pelo Lusitânia Virtual Museum Experience.
Abraços aqui de São Paulo, Brasil
This is going to be great
Wow. So nice.
Great job you all, I'm a big fan of the ship , the Lusitania, probably more so than the Titanic. Although all the four funnel ships I like. My father who served in world War II saw the Aquitania in New York harbor towards the end of her career. If you remember, the RMS Aquitania serve to about 1950. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching and looking for updates.✔️😉❗
Lusitania what a beauty
can't wait! :)
This looks amazing and I absolutely can't wait to explore this beautiful ship. If you wanted to give people a little bit of gameplay without taking too much time or money you could make the player a "Photographer" for a made up newspaper and they have a list of things they need to take photographs for their editor and of course photographs were hard to take at the time. This gives people a reason to explore the ship hopefully will make it more exciting for them.
that…actually sounds quite nice.
Impressive!
She is a beautiful ship to look at and it's hard not to get emotional when you know her tragic story.
I'm look forward it see it
dang, I used to know Liam, I never knew he was working on this! How awesome.
Happy New Years! Looks stunning. I know you are going to release on steam, but if it is possible (even if it takes time I completely understand) I would love to purchase this on my Xbox Series X because my pc just can't handle anything besides chrome anymore. Love what you're doing, and the historical accuracy is what makes me so enamoured with your project. It's the closest we'll ever get to any semblance of "time travel."
I mean some developers put absolute tat on the xbox store, im sure these guys can put this on xbox as a educational game?
Amazing
I'm glad to see lusitania come to life I hope to see a trumpater model of her like titanic
The more unknown teams are always the best🙂
This is going to be epic.
Thank you, Blue River! I'm sorry I didn't see this Super Thanks sooner!
My favorite ship!
It's incredible that this all this has only taken a year or so to make
