She is a very pure soul, so the song just flows through her beautifully.
Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 Loved your reaction!!!

This is one where millions of people saw Angelina for the first time. She did such an incredible job of arranging this song in a way that respected the iconic original, but still made it all her own. She also did a great job of showcasing her vocal talent in a 2 minute time slot. She packed in soft stuff, belts, runs, artistry, control, character.... and did it in such a humble way that nothing seemed overdone. She even got a tweet of respect from Queen for this performance :) BTW: you are correct on the family.... That is uncle, sister, mother, and grandma.

For a 13 year old to stand on one of the biggest stages on Earth, zero nerves, 100% confidence and deliver a vocal performance (of her own arrangement) that has to be considered one of the all time greats. When she first sings, Nothing really matters, anyone can say ..........are the most beautiful couple lines ever sung in my opinion.
This may seem somewhat small and inconsequential, but the line is "...any one can see". It just sounds like "say" because she chose to change the vowel sound from a long "e" to a long "a" in order to change the shape of her mouth to create the desired tone and vocal ornamentation. Just like she changed the vowel sound of the last word of the song to match the rhyming scheme. Unless you think she rewrote it to mean that "nothing really matters to may".

They didn't arrange this song for Angelina. She did her own arrangement!

It was so unique that Angelina re-sang it in a studio, without the audience noise, copyrighted it, and released it on her own label as a single. The ability to do that must have been part of the original agreement with AGT - The Champions; it is available on many outlets. She has always done her own arrangements, even at age 7. Of course, she collaborates with her accompaniment.
Yrs, exactly, she hasn't had anyone do anything for her. She is totally self driven.

That was her arrangement, as she has been doing since, well, basically forever. In my opinion the two most outstanding demonstrations of her arranging talent are this one and "I Put a Spell on You", and she was only nine for "Spell". She's incredibly gifted.

One of Angelinas greatest strenghts is the ability to no matter how known the song, how big, how small or how untouchable, as this is, she has the ability to make it her own in a way few others can.
Who can come in barefooted, calmy and steadily start of this massive, epic song, acapela, just like its nothing?
I am sure Freddie would have approved and loved this, just as the rest Queen did.
The judges delivers the same lines as they always do when someone great is in front of them, but in a way it feels bleak, to bleak, like she hasn't been a hidden gem in plane sight the last 7 years.
yeah AGT is getting to be a scripted canned performance. Didn't even ask her about the bare feet. How many established stars come on the show? Both performances they played her down because she didn't sign with them.
That suit was made by Angelina and her grandma with prints of the cloth taken from her grandmother's art.
The art work is from her Grandma's paintings sone of which were used to illustrate Angelina's book (Between two hearts) Angelina is shown in the painting in her usual white dress.

I didn't realize you still haven't heard Angelina's version of BR! Thanks for the great reaction, Mace. How can you not be struck by the fact that Angelina at only 13 managed to face a challenge with a song as iconic as this and made it her song, with its fantastic reworking, and a calm interpretation, powerful and terribly emotional. She had great courage to play her in front of one of the most difficult audiences in the show. 🤗
Her ability to understand and process the song, for a girl of that age, is almost supernatural, she created HER Bohemia Rhapsody. She undoubtedly loves to sing and does it in her own unique way. ❤️
Think of the 3-year-old girl who in Norway had the dream, while watching Talents on TV, to sing for Simon one day, I would say that after only 10 years she did it really well, she fascinated him ... and not only him ! 😍
Great reaction again! ! It's kind of fun to be a pre-Bohemian Rhapsody Angelina fan. We had her to ourselves for years before this performance. The journey for us all has been wonderful and now the new chapter is exciting to contemplate. Did I get a sense of a bit of fear for her before she started. I felt it. I was confident she would smash it but also so immersed in the magnitude of the moment for her. She is an incredible angel sent to make us smile, together.
This is when I first found Angelina. And since then I have listened to her everyday most times several times a day. My favorite singer should very soon become a household name with the God given voice and humble spirit. Thumbs up Mace, nice reaction.

I’ll listen to other artist from time to time but I always find myself right back listening to Angelina. She has most definitely become my favorite vocal artist of all time and I can’t wait to hear her new stuff when it comes out.

Currently 2022, Angelina is 6 feet tall, always barefoot, sews hear own clothes and has the most gorgeous voice in the artistry world of music. She has done most if not all of her own arrangements since the age of 8 years old❗ I see nothing other than greatness in her future 🤗

In the opening scenes for I Put A Spell On You ahw ia seen writing on a scrap of paper, this ian't mere scribbling, she is jotting down changes to the score for the musical director who can be seen nodding in agreement when he looks them over. You don't know the half of the amount of talent this young lady has!

Haha. We older fans expect to forget stuff. You did this early on. Nice to get you back to it. I've heard this song every day (multiple times) since AGT. You have been one of the more prolific Angelina reactors. Love your approach and appreciation. There are more out there for you to check out (maybe again 🤯). Her cover of Etta James' I'd Rather Go Blind is pretty spectacular. Great singer, great person!! My world is a better and more beautiful place with Angelina in it.
Nice reaction! She actually handles all of the arrangements of her songs. If she is not comfortable with a way a song is arranged, she will take it upon herself to reconstruct/rearrange it so it is to her liking. She's been doing this since she was a little kid! This was the first time I saw her perform and I've been hooked since! Keep up the good work!

This was Sara Brailles' arrangement of the song. No reason for Elton to comment. The Mama's & The Papa's also praised her on social media for her version of California Dreaming. Queen & M's&Pa's didn't comment on other covers of their songs by Angelina.

Ron is correct, Angelina does most of her arrangements to suit her stregths, and to reflect how the lyrics impact her feelings.
Thanks for another reaction to Angelina. I'm a little surprised that you assumed other people had arranged the songs as I feel sure that it has been mentioned many times in the comments made in the 50+ videos you covered that Angelina arranges the songs herself.
Simon was correct when he said that he had never heard that version, Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette,her sister and then her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. Heid Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".

I don’t know how you missed this. This is really the song that caused many people to discover Angelina. It is my understanding that it was her arrangement and it had to fit the allotted time in the show. She got the Golden buzzer, but because she wouldn’t sign with Simon’s company, she finished 5th. Another lesson that the world isn’t always fair. I think Howie’s assessment that this performance would change her career was spot on, as it opened a lot of doors for her worldwide. Her family turned down many labels until her uncle/manager got her a deal with Republic that will allow her more freedom of creativity than most other offers. Hopefully, it all works out, as she deserves her desire to spread love through her music worldwide.
I love angelina jordan and her singing. I also love to watch new people hear her for the first time. That is why I hate it when everyone write "First time hearing" in the description...

You mentioned her outfit, it is my understanding that the print is from one of Angelina’s grandmother’s works of art and that Angelina created the suite from it. Also, since this video, Angelina has grown to be 6 ft tall and has signed with Republic Records as a “high priority new artist”.

She only had two minutes for this song, I did see a video of her working the arrangement and in it, she had the phrase "mama just killed a man" but I guess they changed their mind on that.

From right to left, Angelina's grandmother, her mother, her little sister and her uncle, who is also her manager. Angelina just signed a recording deal with Republic Records, who have ao Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Amy Winehouse (RIP) on their books. She is their 'number one priority new artist' whatever that means. BTW, the outfit was made from a print that her and her grandmother had made together. Her grandmother is owed a lot of kudos, cos sh'e the one that got Angelina interested in jazz music.

To do a song, any song, before a worldwide audience in a'capela is usually never attempted. No music to make
you sure to find that vital starting key is scary and very rarely attempted by even top level singers. Angelina
simply has no fear and always delivers.
She was wearing a monitor in her left ear, so she probably got the first note, or pitch, via that.

She was riding down the road when she saw a young girl barefoot in the cold she asked her mother why she was barefoot and she said because they couldn't afford shoes she made them pull over the car and she took off her shoes and gave them to her and now she performs barefoot to remind herself and everyone else of the poor that can't afford shoes.She Grew up in Norway not the United States.

Her arrangement Mace. Best thing that ever happened to this singing prodigy was finishing 5th in this BS competition. This show means nothing considering you are watching the best talent to come along in many years. She and her family would not BOW down to the AGT and Simon folks here so hence the 5th place finish . Some circus act won so goes to show you what this show is about. She has a legitimate contract now with Republic records on her terms so this show has no meaning other than exposure for this unbelievable talent.. thanks for your reaction.

Sure, Mace, some trivial points. First, SHE was wrong, she won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8, not 7. She did the arrangement (I posted below about this). The audio and video of her performance were out of sync. I have a super woofer in my audio system here; every time you hit the table or mike I get a "thunder crash," and look out the window to see if it's raining... At some point, treat yourself to a mike on a boom with shock absorption. And a sturdier table - the camera moves around too. Sorry for the negative technical points - I'm a geek - I really like your comments.

Never like the lyrics or story of the song. But she made it a beautiful personal epitaph to her grandfather. Maybe one day she will understand that's not what death is . Old people leaving a dying body is just letting the bird out of the cage.

I feel so sorry for all of you who cannot hear her singing almost every other note off pitch. The only one worse than her is Taylor Swift that CANNOT sing without autotune at all. If you listen to one of Angelina's RECORDINGS... she is perfect, but that's all autotuned. All I can say, is most of the world is tone deaf. I am not.
