Here's another awesome listicle this time going through my favorite Knightmare Frames in Code Geass. Let me know in the comments what are your favorite KMFs from Code Geass are. The Knightmare Frame from the Top 15 seemed to be like an Eva.
Lelouch's knightmare frames were the best because they T-posed over all the others.
I really liked the Siegfried, because it's literally a giant orange
And then you have a Sutherland tucked away inside the Sutherland Sieg, and the reveal of that lead to one of Jeremiah's most iconic and memetic moments, "MEMORIZE THIS!"

Code geass and Gundam are mecha anime with worlds/universes that have and deal with their own politics.
Very interesting list. It is nice to see other Knightmares get the spotlight every now and then. However, unlike your top prettiest women video, I find myself with a very different list. This is my top 10 favorite Knightmares. Purely my preference.
#10 Mordred. I love the raw power this Knightmare can produce. It may be slow, but its incredibly tough. It has a power Blaze Luminous and can attack all around thanks to its mini Hadron missiles. It is also one of the few Knightmares who almost killed Zero
#9 Zangestu. Despite it being a one eyed Knightmare, the design and colours make makes it look really cool. This adds to its unique features. Shadow sword is also very cool, second only to Excalibur in size.
#8 Percival. Bradley sucks, but his Knightmare is the opposite. While Bradley acts very villainous, Percival is what actually makes him intimidating. He can also create a spinning Blaze lance. This Knightmare represents evil, and it does not disappoint.
#7 Galahad. Not the most flashy Knightmare, but this Knightmare represents strength. His strikes can create shockwaves and cause massive damage. His sword Excalibur can cut through the most power energy blasts and smashes is opponents to pieces. Not even the Mordred can withstand his might.
#6 Guren SEITEN. This is when Kallen reaches her peak. In her possession (at the time) is the most powerful Knightmare ever created at the time. Its power is unmatched and it has so many weapons at its disposal. It may have been higher, but I think it is too much. This Knightmare has a weapon and counter for everything. Its greatest strength was also its greatest weakness. Its right arm. It has unmatched power, but if its destroyed it becomes very vulnerable. It was almost like a double edge sword; but now its so advanced and powerful, its vast arsenal makes up for its weakness.
#5 Vincent Ward. Britannia probably has the best looking Knightmares. As a mass produced frame, the Vincent Wards really stand out and look more like a knight. Defiantly not the most powerful, but these Knightmares are the best out of all the mass produced frames.
#4 Nagid Shu Mane. The most unique looking Knighmare out there. Previous Knightmare wore clothing before, but this Knightmare takes it a step further. Its shoulder Harkens are both practical and deadly. Being perhaps a 10th Generation Frame we see a glimpse of what the future holds for Knightmares. It is truly a machine fit for a king.
#3 Tristen Divider. This Knightmare lasted the longest against a 9th generation while being a inferior machine itself. Its ability to transform is still very cool and the addition of Excalibur makes him a danger to any energy based attacks or defenses. The Tristan's ability to create a Hadron Cannon from its Harken Slashes is very innovative.
#2 Gawain. I believe Gawain should have always been Lelouch's personal Knightmare. The Knightmare allowed for a co-pilot, and who better than Lelouch's partner C.C. It was slow, but powerful. Its presence was very much akin to Zeros'. Unlike the Shinkiro, the Gawain was able to bring down the Siegfried on its own. Shame it didn't return
#1 Cornelia Gloucester-Quinn Roses Model-Z. Originally it was going to be just Gloucesters, but after seeing Resurrection, Cornelia's Gloucester takes the #1 spot. The Gloucesters always looked like true knights and were bred for war. In Resurrection, the added armor (made it look even more like a knight), the Lance with a Blaze system, and a thruster pack put it over the edge. This Knightmare also charged head first into impossible odds and not only survived but took out its leader, the Brown Bulwak.
Honorable Mentions:
Gun-Ru: This Knightmare is perfect for what it represents, quantity over quality. Its cheap and pathetic; however, the vast number of them make it a powerful opponent.
Burai: This Knightmare is perfect for the Black Knights. I really wish we got a upgraded version of the Burai instead of the Akatsuki.
Knightpolice: The design is cool and it was nice to see Britannia use older Knightmares instead of getting rid of them completely. This Knightmare vs Kallen's red Glasgow was a very intimidating scene; especially when it drew its knife.
Shen Hu: Very unique design. Its electric slash harkens is one of my favorite weapons. If it had more weapons in its arsenals, it may have been on the list.
Dishonorable Mentions:
Akatsuki: Rahkshata's one-eyed cyclops style Knightmares never really impressed me. I get it, they needed to look different from the Britannians. Unfortunately, she couldn't come up with a better design. Also, why are they greenish grey? Aren't they supposed to be the Black Knights? At least the Burais had the correct colour scheme.
Gareth: For being the mass produced version of the Gawain, I would have assumed they would be a little tough to take down; but they can go one with basically one slash. They are also incapable of hand to hand combat. They may have powerful Hadron Cannons, but they need more variety.
Panzer Hummel: Only good for long range combat. Unlike the Gun-Ru, they apparently are a match and can surpass Sutherlands in combat. Meaning they are expensive and look like garbage. I am not a big fan of the Alexander Frames, but I'll take them over this if I was the EU.
Portman Type 2: Its a water based Knightmare that can fly. Why? Its never used for water combat and it clearly is inferior to even Sutherlands with float units. It also looks like a rubber duck.
Guren Type Special: This might have been the most disappointing Knightmare in the movie. The Guren may not be my favorite, but this one made me appreciate the others even more. Its impressive power wise, but it just looks so bad. They got rid of the orange on the cockpit and replaced it with just a lighter shade of red; and reduced the size of the green gem on its chest. Lastly, why is it so spikey? This mechanical nightmare is covered, head to toe, with spikes and pointy bits. There is a saying, less is more. This Guren really needed to hear that before hand.
Surprise
#0 Lancelot siN. Time for the special entry. I really wanted to put this Knightmare at number one, because it is my favorite Knightmare. But part of the reason why I didn't is because of its pilot, Suzaku. I'm not saying that Suzaku is a bad pilot or diminishes the Knightmare its self. Its more like I can't separate the two The Lancelot wouldn't be the Knightmare it is without Suzaku. The Lancelot is not really that special, in fact its pretty basic. Lancelot's true power doesn't come from its features or design, but from its pilot Suzaku. Suzaku is the most impressive Knightmare pilot. He can do things no one else can pull off. At the same time there is no Knightmare that can pull of the stunts that Suzaku wants to do, except for the Lancelot. With every Knightmare I can judge them based on the machine alone, except for Lancelot. Suzaku and Lancelot are not man and machine; they are one entity. Now why siN and not Albion? I think siN looks better; with the six energy wings instead of three, it has better shoulder platting, its a little more buff and the Cocoon looks great with the blue. It is also the first time the Lancelot gets to be the hero instead of being viewed as a villain, or being the martyr the world will never know. The White Death rises to do battle once more.
I love the dishonorable mentions and I noticed that you put Cornelia and her KMF both number one on your lists coincidence? I love your takes on the series always appreciate the effort that you put into these comments.
I believe you're mistaking the Gekka and the Akatsuki
There are two things you got wrong about the Portman II:
1.) Only the Portman IIs equipped with float units could fly and we mostly see this later in the series.
2.) The Portman II WAS USED in underwater combat, though in only one occasion during the series. This was when Suzaku was leading a Britanian fleet to take down the Black Knight's submarine. They were deployed in a large number during the operation, but most of them were destroyed when the Black Knights caused large bubbles to rise from the ocean floor.
Though, I have to agree with you, it's design isn't exactly the best and it's really damn goofy.
I just wanted to correct you and this in no way means that I disagree or am angry at you.

I like Kallen's a lot but I also like Suzaku's frames as well. LaLouche gets a decent one closer to the end. The ones from Akito took me an episode or two to get used to but in the end, they were quite interesting and impressive.

Thanks for including the Sutherland! Whenever I watch mecha anime, I always take an interest in the grunts, and I feel like the Sutherland was done a bit dirty in its on-screen performance since it was mostly just used as cannon fodder. Though, it couldn't be helped since most KMFs that it fought in the series were newer and more advanced generations (with the exception of the Burais ).
I loved the European knightmare frames as I see them becoming possible in the near future, even though mechs irl are really impractical.
My favorite KMF is Bradley’s. It only got like 5 seconds of screen time but watching him spin his weapon up like a drill was both badass and terrifying. I feel like everyone forgets about his but it’s so cool and underrated.I also like the Zangetsu and tha Gawain though
The White helmet better called Lanclot was like the worst nightmare(bad dream) for lelouch cus it ruined his plans like everytine 😂

my fav is the Gawain, it's huge and imposing, has 2 big ass canons and most importantly, it T-poses over it's enemies. 18:06 nah, that's the best thing about the Gurren models.

I have to say I 100% agree with your #1 Zangetsu is also my favorite knightmare! Partly because Tohdoh is a badass, partly because I love a good red/black color scheme, and lastly but definitely not least is that the Shadow Longsword is in my opinion the coolest weapon ever wielded by a knightmare! A black katana with a glowing chainsaw as the blade, jet boosters in the back to help with cutting power or boost your own knightmare's movement speed, and a frickin slash harken for a pommel! How can you NOT want one?!
I specifically summoned Tohdoh to get the Zangetsu in Lost Stories when it came out because of how awesome it is
@@MyMediaChops Hah yea I would have too, can't deny he's one of the best pilot's with all the battles he's fought in, who he fought, how well he always did, and the fact that he's STILL alive at the end of series when he was always fighting on the frontlines... Not many people can say that and if they can they most likely had a better Knightmare and/or were considered better pilots.

why is the Gawain your favorite KMF?
Same it was basically the god of destruction in Code Geass in my eyes as it was simply unbeatable in R1/Season1. Its towering pose and black, gold paint scheme really helped make it stand out for the other Kinghtmare frames before it. Shame it was scrapped down into the Shinkiro which was more weaker than the Gawain. To be honest wished bandi would bring this guy back along with give him a few additional features like Energy wings, The absolute defence field, the Reflector Beams/Zero beam and of course a transformation function just to name a few.

While I like a lot of the main Knightmare Frame models use by the main characters, I rather like the Sutherland and Knight Police as some of my favorites. Yeah they might be simple but I like the mass produced models that the average troops use. I mean heck its also the first model Leluch used in the show and had used for a while.
Even code geass lelouch resurrection is different universe the fact is C.C can still revive lelouch in the real universe to.
My favorite mech is The Shinquiro due to the color scheme and abilities. Gwain in second, Lancelot Albion in third, Vincent in fourth the Siegfried in fifth, The Guren in sixth, and the others all tied for seven.
I really do love the Zangetsu as well. Don't get me wrong, I love the others as well, my 2nd favorite would've been the Siegfreid. But even so, I love the Zangetsu because it stands out a lot compared to the other main Knightmares since it looks so menacing. A jet black samurai with 2 long hair, it honestly looks badass and cool.

The Burai Kai is so awesome. I wish it got more episodes. It such a simple change between them and the normal Burais but it’s a striking change nevertheless.
I like how they focused on the team work of Tohdoh and his 4 Holy Swords by having the antenna, which where like big radio towers in that they shared information between themselves to improve cooperation between the 5 of them. This allowed a Knightmare that was generation 4.5 at best to match Gloucesters, Gen 5.5 super anti Knightmare combat models, which were piloted by Cornelia’s personal guards in combat. Skill and teamwork used to beat technological superiority, a classic heroic trope in the battle against tyranny.
But yeah I just love Burais and all their variants overall. Glad to find another fan out there.

I just love all the frames where Lelouch and C.C co-pilot. This kind of couples co-pilot rarely seen in other shows, I guess there's one in Gundam 00 but they're not in the same cockpit and it's like ruined by the gay couple that is the 00 Gundam and 00 Raiser. They have these exclusively in Darling in the FranXX but I think that show was just way too on the nose with the cockpit design having the girl stick her butt up against the guy, it just entirely gives up on plausibility and becomes pure fan service. Where as in Code Geass it's super believable that Lelouch would ride in one of these dual pilot frames with C.C cuz he's the commander he has other things to do.

Fun fact : did you now that the Lancelot grail/highgrail shares the exact same shoulder armor and color scheme as the concept art version of the Lancelot from a Code Geass artbook (codegeass.fandom.com/wiki/Code_Geass_%E2%80%93_Lelouch_of_the_Rebellion_Illustrations_Rebels) in fact Lancelot trial , Lancelot's mass production version before the Vincent simply *Is* the exact same Lancelot as the one seen in the concept art book , i guess that they change that colour scheme because it was too similiar to Gurren's , although i wonder if you would like the og Lancelot more if they went with that red version instead of the white one that we have today
