John's stepmom is played by the same actress that played the hard-ass "Vasquez" in the film "Aliens"
Dyson's wife is played by S. Epatha Merkerson, who played Lt. Van Buren on Law & Order for 17 years.
The doppelganger security guard was played by the original guard's twin brother.
Similarly, the scenes where there's two Sarah Connors on the screen, one is played by Linda Hamilton's twin sister.
And for a lot of fun, I can recommend Joe "Dyson" Morgan's first feature, BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET where he's survived his landing on Earth but is wonderfuilly bewildered.
Robert Patrick, the T-1000, was a track and football athlete in college. Prior to filming, he trained to be able to sprint with his mouth closed for the scene when he runs after John on the dirt bike. He was so quick that he kept catching up and had to slow himself down for a good scene take.
I've been having a really hard time these past few weeks. It was just so nice and relaxing to watch your reaction to this in peace. Thanks Liala
One of my favorite movies, I saw it in theaters many times when it came out in my youth,and I love the soundtrack especially Guns N Roses when John and his friend is on the dirt bike, and love the Public Enemy shirt John is wearing showing he’s a unique rebel,who it’s later revealed grew up with rebel fighters in South America in his youth learning to be a warrior along with some hacking skills
Very nice reaction. Just like the original Star Wars movies, Terminator 1 and Terminator 2 are the truly perfect films, and anything coming after 1 and 2 is really only to make money (although they come up with some fun ideas and scenes) and the first two create the most balanced story presentation and characters. I was maybe 16 years old when the first Terminator was released? That was fun. Extremely creepy, as you say - many people don’t tune in to the creepy qualities of these stories.
I have never seen a more trimmed reaction to T2 than this ever, not even close. You should win some award.😅
T2 is arguably the greatest action film and one of the Top 3 sequels ever made. The other two is Aliens and The Godfather Part 2.
You really dont have to watch the later movies. They are non-canon to most fans
James Cameron filmed two dangerous scenes himself because he didn't want to put his crew in danger. That semi truck jump scene and he actually filmed the helicopter going under the bridge scene twice from the front and the back.
Oh, so he learned from The Abyss to not intentionally put his actors lives in danger? Too bad it took multiple people almost dying for him to figure that maybe that might NOT be a good idea.

1. Linda Hamilton, at a minimum, should have been nominated for Best Actress Oscar.

4. Arnold did many, but not all of his own stunts in this movie, including riding the motorcycle. At one point he was injured, and they had to stop production for a couple of weeks so he could recover.
5. Arnold is not left-handed, but the way he works that shotgun is impressive😲
6. The twin security guards also play in "Good Morning Vietnam".
7. GOOF: Enrique's dogs don't respond to "Uncle Bob" as a Terminator.
8. "I need a vacation" was ad lib.
9. This is the action movie GOAT.🤩

T2 is the pinnacle of the franchise. Keep going if you're curious (I did), but this is also a good place to stop. Loved the reaction. :)
100% after this the movies gets worse and worse. T2 and Aliens is some of the best sequels ever made if you ask me.
The reason why that ending has Sarah finding peace is there is because in the original release that had a more open ending to create sequels. The sequels are all pretty bad, the last one was so bad that now the happy ending in T2 is in all streamed versions to just wrap up the story and forget the sequels.

Being a non-Newtonian fluid, T1000 has to use his whole body as a shock absorber. It's actually really interesting to see how he evolves his structure to counter Bob's shotgun.
When they first meet, the shotgun leaves big impact dents - impacting a solid mass of alloy that knocks the T1000 down. But at the hospital, once the round pierces the torso, the shockwave ripples through a liquid core until it tears dissapates and the T1000 can stay standing, even keep running.
This backfires in the factory, when the grenade punches into the liquid core and the blast rips him open.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day is the best action movie ever. And the end; one of the most emotional endings ever.

an absolute masterpiece, I remember that we left the theaters with our jaws hanging. I think you will be interested in watching the series(terminator: the sarah conner chronicles) , which is a direct continuation of the movie. You will learn a lot more about Sarah and John, and especially about the terminators. And you will find that in time ,when the events of the film unfold, much more has happened than shown in it.
The first two are directed by James Cameron so you can consider this the end, the rest of the series is just Fanfic.

T2 and Aliens is some of the best sequels ever made if you ask me.
This was the version we saw in the Theaters. The Directors Cut added a few scenes (including a visit by Reese) and different ending.

I'm hoping you'll press on and react to TERMINATOR 3. There's another wonderful scene with Dr. Silberman, too, and it's worth the price of admission alone. But T3's a fun film and offers another step-off point for the T-Futures.
This movie, along with "Aliens," is the standard against which all action movies are judged, and found wanting.
Yes he actually ran that fast. And he trained so that he wouldn't be huffing and puffing because a robot wouldn't.
I also heard he ran track in college.

Terminator, T2, and Terminator Genisys make a good trilogy. The others don’t really add much to the arc of the first two IMO.

You got my favorite ending - 'the road unknown'. The other ending has old Sarah watching John play with her grandchild in a park in the averted apocalypse.
T2 should be followed by the Sarah Connor Chronicles and that's it.

Most people will say they only made 2 Terminator movies but I think you'd enjoy at least Terminator 3 and probably Salvation. You should also eventually check out the other thing that most people agree was worth making there's a TV series The Sarah Connor Chronicles that Stars Lena Heady and Summer Glau. Two seasons that unfortunately didn't recover after the last writer's strike.
The kid's (Edward Furlong) other famous film is 'American History X' 1998.

T3 isn't a bad movie. It's just a bad Terminator movie. It undermines the premise of the first two movies.
However, the TV show, The Sarah Connor Chronicles is excellent.
Personally I like terminator 1 better but this movie I known as one of the greatest sequels ever

Definitely DO NOT watch any of the Terminator sequels after this. Writer/director James Cameron never intended to go past T2 and the sequels were strictly put out by studios as a cheap cash grab using different writers and directors.

There are 3 different cuts of this movie the original theatrical cut, a cut that added a bunch of deleted scenes and changed the ending and my personal favorite the one that added the extended scenes but kept the original ending.
Linda Hamilton actually learned how to pick a lock with a paper clip for that scene.

Fun fact: the scene when they drive the truck off the bridge, none of the cameramen wanted to film the scene out of fear of dying. So James Cameron grabbed the camera and took the shot himself.

The franchise should’ve ended here. You’re watching the rest of them out of curiosity, not to see where they go, because they don’t actually go anywhere if you ask most people, lol. The other movies are just the studios stupidly trying to come up with another Terminator model hoping it’s better than the T-1000 and failing miserably with that and the plots, but I hope you find some joy in it. It might be better if you lower your expectations to the floor.

@@BizzyX78 I didn't overlook anything or tell her how to think. She was obviously assuming that the series "goes somewhere," because she said that, and I pointed out the fact that it goes nowhere. Just because other movies exist doesn't mean the story actually goes somewhere. Every other movie is just them trying to find a new terminator model fans will like as much as the T-1000 AND FAILING TO DO THAT, and retconning the story over and over again with different actors. Yes, it's my OPINION that it is a waste of time to watch the others. It is not my opinion that it is UNIVERSALLY known that the rest of the series is a mess just like the Alien franchise after Aliens. But you can enjoy her wasting her time watching the rest of them. I enjoy seeing people acting like the rest of them don't even exist, so I won't be watching. Good luck. Bye.

I for one, I am curious about what direction they will take the story, but that doesn't negate in any way that other people will feel different.
Some might share my feelings on the matter while others won't, and I'm totally fine with that.
But negative propaganda has a bad habit of swaying peoples' minds away from actually basing one's opinion on experience.

there is no terminator 3 or anything, salvation is some kind of prequel, watchable but nothing special and genisys is a funny movie and nothing more, that other stuff is just unspeakable, but the story ends with the second movie and the only good thing done after these 2 movies is the TV series "the sarah connor chronicles", unjustly interrupted and underrated.
The T1000 is one of the greatest villains in movie history, a skinny guy who is very powerful and dangerous.

I don't think you need to watch the rest of the series. And this movie was supposed to be the end. Unfortunately it made a s**t load of money and was extremely popular, sobtwelve years later T3 came and even though it was not all that bad, it was much worse then its predecessors.
That's not "as the times goes on the Terminator films go crazy"... Actually the only 2 good Terminator films are the 2 first Terminator films... The rest is poorly done (the CGIs are less and less credible, and the Terminator 3 is a non-sense as James Cameron did everything to make sure there won't be other Terminator films... Terminator is his baby, he had the idea, he realized it and produced and he was completely opposed to the idea to make it a saga ! He made the first Terminator film but he didn't have enough budget to realize exactly what he had in mind... And the first Terminator film has been a huge success, so with the money, he had a better budget to make what he had in mind before he did the 1st film... That's the only reason why he made a second film (and that's why there are so many similarities between the 1st film and the 2nd one)
When Terminator 3 (which is not produced or realized by James Cameron) has been released, he was mad ! He tear into pieces the 3rd film in the media ! He criticized the 3rd Terminator because he did everything to avoid people to make a saga of his baby, but after he gave up, he lost his baby, other people took his baby from him
Maybe not a popular opinion, but I don’t think this movie is very good. The first one was a surprise hit due solely to how good it was, and then 8 years later when Arnold was a huge star, they made another one with a huge budget with him as the hero. But they sacrificed the story and characters in the process. The movie is entertaining, but absurd. They made Sarah a psychopath, and Arnold a good guy. It’s over-the-top in every way. Arnold and CGI was the only point of it. Cashing in.
Watch the first four films - then stop because the next two are garbage :)
