Creating a sprocket with extra offset (Bafang 52T), TIG welding with the Parkside Welder PMSG 200 A1

  • Early 2023 my homemade Bafang sprocket broke for the first time. I then re-welded some welds on one side, but now after 10 months it broke loose again (on the other side).
    This time we will make a sprocket with 13 mm offset from two original Bafang sprockets. I will use the Parkside welder and even my Southbend lathe has a small role in the video. The chain is completely worn out, but that is not strange considering the powerfull 500W Bafang BSB02B engine.

    Wow you really put a full bead on that, 5mm tack welds every 20mm would have been more than enough. There really isn't that much force being transmitted through that sprocket to warrant full welds.

      After two breakdowns I wanted a very permanent solution 😎

      @michaniklas9847 Ik heb volgens mij geen ervaring met dat type Revive. Is dat een achterwiel met derailleur gecombineerd met versnellingsnaaf? Een dual-versnelling?
