Guitar class was a block class of 1st and second period, and you heard classical folkstyle nylon stringed guitars playing metal, punk, grunge, alternative, and even bluegrass. It was an amazing class back in highschool.

Not for a radio performance in the studio, no. It's free promotion for the artist. If a radio station is producing a concert or festival at a venue that is open to the public and selling tickets then yes the artist gets paid.
Great performance but man, I'd like to hear Laid Back Walking be given the full on Melvins treatment. Would sound so awesome.
