Caught the fallout fever will be playing fallout 4, and grinding apex legends to get that flatline skin
fallout 4 VR (please don't update it), Hellsweeper VR, and then some bicycle riding in the real world. the graphics are not so good but the experience of interacting with the cars is worth it.
The fact we never got an undead nightmare 2 for RDR2 is a sin. I'll miss those single player focused days of Rockstar.

Sure, they put in a lot when making RDR2, but now that's 6 years ago and since then they've racked up so much money from both online services. It would be great to get even a sliver of what they are very good at: offline gameplay. I wouldn't even care if it's a random character like they did for the GTA4 DLCs, or continued Franklin's story and possibly setting up Franklin as a character in GTA6
The amount of money Rockstar makes from Shark Cards was just too good. Soooo much money for basically no real effort in small online updates. It sucks because GTA IV had some phenomenal dlc and I would have loved to see that brought to GTA V but, you know, greed..
Exactly but they also printed money selling RDR2 and could have done the online and made just as much and they just gave it up. Makes me so mad. They could at least throw the fans a bone and do a big single player dlc, they will still make money.
Greed kinda I mean if it’s making that good of money then a company has to stay on course basically doing what a company is meant to do … make money … they have no choice really and anything outside of that takes a backseat

There is some leaks that Ubi is secretly working on Watch Dogs 4 wich will be set in Boston but we don't know if it's true but if it really is i think Ubisoft really need to focus and improves hacking and driving system ofc if WD 4 will have amazing graphic ( maybe even Unreal Engine 5 ) good , dark story /tone from first WD and good character like Aiden then it really can be on the same level as GTA VI ( ofc GTA still better cause of amounts of detels ofc Ubi can never be on same level as Rocstar but i really wanna see next Watch Dogs game in the future it's just something cool the same as GTA

One thing I loved about the first two games is the accuracy of the cities. Guess I'm a bit of a sucker for virtual tourism, though causing chaos using your hacking tools is a lot of fun too.

I absolutely loved the original Watchdogs with Aiden Pearce. The serious undertone of that game is what made it enjoyable. Even with the lacking multiplayer, it was fun “hacking” into other people’s sessions and causing mayhem. It’s an absolute shame the direction the game went. Lost its identity with each instalment and in the end they didn’t even know what they were doing. You know why the early Assassin’s Creed games were so good? They have a good MC and great story, both of which the first game nailed perfectly. Breaks my heart knowing there won’t be another but I guess it’s for the best.

Watch dogs 1 was better story wise imo, but raw gameplay I'd argue WD2 is one of the best open world game ever made. More detailed then gta 5, and while not as detailed as rdr2 it was more interactive.
Watch Dogs 1 was good but Watch Dogs 2 is one of my favourite games. They are different! Doesnt mean they are bad.

Watch dogs 1 is by far the best IMO. Best story and I loved the serious tone. It was also new then which was cool but later on I didn’t enjoy the series direction. 2 was pretty solid and had the best combat and world but 3 is so trash.

I think the world has so much potential to tell other hacker stories, or maybe something like the begining of young Aiden and his family bonds
If they just made a new Watchdogs game like the first two they'd be able to save the franchise.
Preferably more like the first one with parts of both the 2nd and Legion honestly.
But that's a Ubisoft thing in general, they're always so close to get out masterpieces all the time but they're always either missing out half of the stuff they could've done or misinterpret what they should do in addition to actually make them an instant classic. They've simply lost the feeling for what they should do 20 years ago and are only slowly finding their way back now (or at least I hope that they will find their way back).

Watch Dogs has always been a hilarious concept, where the protagonists pretend to fight a Big Brother corrupted system that violates people's privacy by hacking into people's phones and computers, stealing their money, and remotely controlling their cars.
They COULD fight the big brother, only you give this power to IRL players who don't care if the people in the game live under oppression and just wanna see car go boom

Watch Dogs 2 is my favorite game. Beat it bunch of times. Ive done a playthru with all stealth non lethal, no stealing from people or doing bad things, it's possible, just not as fun as causing chaos.

The original Watchdogs was probably the first open-world game that I ever played. It will always have a special place in my heart. It'd be a bummer if Ubisoft doesn't find a way to revive it.

For anyone wanting a quickie on Hexe's leaks;
- it will have horror elements (most likely gore and jumpscares)
- the player character has supernatural abilities including transformation (she turns into an animal during a gameplay presentation)
- It will feature a very similar "Fear" gameplay mechanic from the Jack the Ripper DLC for Syndicate.
Even if the DLC brought all the cars over from online mod, it will be fine. If they added the features as well...perfect
on PC you can do that anyway

Watch Dogs 1 & 2 were so good, they completely fumbled with Legion, they should make a true “Watch Dogs 3”
I think shifting the focus from a one main character plot to a group thing ( dedsec ) it was good but I think the vibe was destroyed when wd2 felt more jokey and less dark and serious
It was different but it just doesn’t fit with the narrative of the invasion of privacy and mind control through predictive algorithms ( bellwether code )

Maybe I’m in the minority here but I just prefer darker and more serious games with deeper meaning and closer to real life issues and watch dogs 1 was definitely it for me.
@@kodorogames they used to. Not anymore. After far cry 3, everything went downhill. Far cry 3 was the last best Ubisoft game when Ubisoft introduced something weve never seen in openworld gaming. Sadly, they turned that into a formula.

Just because you can’t force your game model into a live service or battle royal doesn’t mean the game/franchise should die.
Id be awesome if Jake like hid some hints and little details in the background of where he is, and what his secret mission is, like they often do with trailers and teasers in videogames.

@@contra7631 I mean it makes sense, but the whole premise of watch dogs is to make people aware of the technological advancement and the risk to privacy, which is why the second chapter, despite being the most acclaimed, to me it looked like a fever dream. But yes I would love a remake of the first one, or something along those lines.

Rockstar themselves said that GTA IV DLC “underperformed” and obviously no one expected the longevity of GTA Online. It is a bummer, but Take Two is a business at the end of the day and Shark Cards are king.

I don’t blame anyone who didn’t/doesn’t dig Watchdogs Legion, the criticism is valid. But as a person who hated it at launch and really liked 1+2, the Aiden Pierce update made the Legion so much better. I really liked playing the whole game as Aiden, and his voice actor’s performance was really great/unique compared to the normal NPCs turned players. I think it’d be worth a revisit for a lot of fans of the earlier titles.
I've loved my time with all 3 Watch Dogs games, got the platinum trophy for each! If they aren't going to make more games, I think it could work really well as a TV series.

Watch dogs being put on hold is pretty sad. I absolutely loved 1 & 2. Tried to get into legion 3 or 4 different times but every single time I got bored or put off by how badly some features were implemented. Watch dogs 2 specifically will forever be in my heart.
For watch dogs, the any npc can be your character is great for multi-player but its better being a story driven game. They should just make a next gen watch dogs 1, now that would make money.

My ideal for the Watch Dogs franchise is something like theyre going to do with AC, with 2 sorta sub-franchises. i dont think the noir tone of the first game would really work with the hacker sandbox gameplay from the 2nd, it just works better with a lighter tone. so splitting the franchise in two, with one side expanding on the hacking playground gameplay with a lighter tone and kookier open-world, and another more serious side focusing on the honeslty super fun action from the first game. i genuinely cant think of another game that gives you the sorta john wick experience WD1 does.
i like WD2 more because of the gameplay, and i really think the franchise would do and be better if it keeps taking more from that than from the 1st one but there is something there that also deserves to keep going imo.

I'd rather play a GTA 5 story DLC than every set foot in GTA Online tbh. Watch Dogs was great. Sure it wasn't what people were lead to believe it was based on the trailers but it wasn't bad. Watch Dogs 2 was... odd. Legion tried something new, but essentially all characters you collect are disposable in a way, which makes you have no attachment to any of them.
Those first 2 and last “yeah” Keanu impressions were so on point lol
I really really want a new prototype game! Massive huge open world new abilities. Maybe follow a new character from the start of the virus outbreak day 0 right through to the end of the 2nd and maybe carry on for a bit longer after that. I have been waiting for ages and I will keep waiting too.

I bought Manor Lords. I know it is in early access, but the game has been mostly made by a single person, who worked on it solo for a few years. Total development, seven years....so it's quite impressive and admirable that the dev stuck with it, and fleshed out a game, that honestly, has been a dream game idea that I wanted someone to run with and make a game out of....like, a city builder but you can zoom in a lot and take control of any person in your village. Bonus that it's being made in Unreal Engine 5. But...ever since I saw games like Total War, and them refining those games, and also being a fan of Civilization (2 is my favorite), and Age of Empires, but also being a fan of RPG's and one of my secret wishes is to get modern weaponry and take on enemies with what would be considered "standard" weaponry for their times.
I remember speedrunning the technologies in Civ 2 just to push back against those annoying aggressive AI's in the gold edition. I would just race to get Great Wall, Eiffel Tower, and nukes, and then all of a sudden, all the civilizations stopped trying to pull off attacks on me....for the most part. Sometimes they did, and all I did was nuke them off the face of the map. Usually I would leave one of their cities and then surround it with fortified units so they could never do anything. xD
I actually really enjoyed the watch dogs games. Even legion would be decent if they had used an actual protagonist
The first Watch Dogs game would make a great series if they did it right, it could be a spy thriller with hacking.

I jumped on my high horse years ago and refused to buy or play ANY GTA Online simply because they refused to release any form of single player DLC. It did not even have to be story DLC. Car and cosmetic DLC packs made of existing online assets for single player would have sold. I may be an outlier and no big loss to their over all revenue stream, but had they released single player DLC - I would have also happily kept throwing my money at GTA Online for many years after they also had my DLC money. Instead they get neither.

Run of the mill story. But I didnt care much for the cardboard cut out characters that WD1 had and still I enjoyed both 1 and 2 fine. WD:L was just scattered, ambitious but aimless. World looked quite nice, I woulda been happy to open my wallet if they used the same engine and made a follow on stating they were ditching the be anyone gimmick that didnt really work and go back to the roots.

WD1 + a few features of WD2 & WDL + actually taking the opportunities that exist to make the masterpiece so it doesn't feel like wasted opportunity most of the time like in pretty much every game they release and they got a instant classic.
Agreed. WD 1 has a compelling story with memorable characters and fun gameplay. They should've just added to that as the comment above me stated.

For me the 2nd one is horrible, one of the most disappointing games ever. All characters are mega annoying, story sucks, the gameplay is boring. I wish they came up with something cooler for hacking, rather than them puzzles. Only things they fixed from the 1st was driving, shooting and character customisation.
I haven't even played the 3rd. I'm too old to waste my time with these games that add nothing to the table.

I feel that there's something to work with here, if Ubisoft were to figure out a new FarCry game that implements some Watch Dogs elements. From the slow-mo Focus ability, to the more hacking-oriented puzzle stuff, I feel like that could make for an interesting shake-up. Though in general it'd just be nice to see something fairly thought-out and polished for once.
The first Watch Dogs is still my favourite, and I'll say as often as I need to, Ubisoft has a continued history of trying new things in their games, and even making vastly different spin-offs etc, name one other large publisher which does that, it deserves a lot of respect (balanced out with other more negative things they do of course). While the series is on ice, please let some AA developer take the hacker murder batman concept and run with it! In no other game have I felt as much like a legit vigilante as the first Watch Dogs it was awesome

Since Watchdogs exists in the AC universe, and they are making all sorts of Assassin's Creed games, they should have Watchdogs lean into the Assassin's Creed connection more. If Watchdogs kept its gameplay but did more with the Assassin's Creed story it could easily be saved. How cool would it be to have two completely different franchises tell different parts of the same story.

Legion was one step forward two steps back, as a watchdogs fan 2 was peak the ideal watchdogs for me would be a mix of the tone and storytelling of the the first game, the freerunning movement and gunplay from 2 and the hand to hand combat, stealth, and play as anyone gimmick (for online and coop only) of legion, driving physics didn't really stand out in any of them but an improvement would be very welcome and they just need to full send making watchdogs just be the modern day assassin's creed because the small ac dlc they added in legion was the best assassin's creed content for a while

Watchdogs Legion had some obvious decisions they failed to add to the game to make it as dope as possible.
Make our first agent (all the NPCs you recruit have obvious design templates);
Train agents we recruit to learn skills from other recruits;
I wouldn't mind buying Kau. Though it's tied to SBI, it's a game that seems to not be about sabotaging a currently existing fandom and is actually an original game that represents an African mythology or culture without culture-bending.
Stellar Blade is a game I plan on checking out. Heard there was censorship with graffiti saying "Hard" and a sign next to it being an R. Honeslty, I thought they could keep it or get rid of it, I don't care. It's funny, but not a big deal if it's gone either.

Right now I'm playing Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen. I technically finished the game already but I didn't know that finishing the game at the end, basically locks you out from doing anything else but just roam around as an invisible ghost thing. Basically, I was not able to do the DLC part. So I started a new game+, and kind of went straight to the DLC right after unlocking Gran Soren. At least I have the opportunity to try out new classes and mix it with my pawns.
I was suppose to play Dragons Dogma 2, but given the bad optimization on PC, i don't have to rush myself of playing it and just enjoy the nostalgia trip with the 1st game.

Skul The Hero Slayer was this months PSPlus game, I've absolutely loved it. Cute pixel art rogulike with a pretty deec story.
It also helps that Midori, a known & pretty accurate Persona & Sega leaker, has also backed the claims of Sonic Frontiers 2 happening. And I couldn't be more excited for what's to come!

His portrayal of Trevor from GTA5 was soooo damn good, despite a lot of people hating the character for being an unrelenting maniac, that it fleshed out the man's acting career. He hasn't been in anything I would call HUGE, no lead roles or anything.
But his work on GTA5 landed him a spot on The Walking Dead as Simon, Negan's right-hand man. And the showrunners knew exactly what people would say when he was introduced in the final episode of season 6. They'd go, "OMFG THAT'S TREVOR FROM GTA!" 🤣
He also had small parts on Snowpiercer (the show), and Better Call Saul. He only did one episode of Better Call Saul but it was perfect Trevor attitude lol. The cocky "I'm a bad ass" attitude. But he went up against Mike, so we all know how that ended lol.
I like Steven Ogg as a cliche bad guy. I'd like to see him in more stuff, but maybe he's content with the few million bucks he already has and is happy just being recognized as one of the most sadistic and insane video game characters ever conceived?
To this day, if you're a GTA5 then you would recognize Steven Ogg anywhere.
I've actually been thinking of getting Watch_Dogs again (the 1st one). I originally got it close to release and then again on the, at the time, next-gen console. Now I'm looking towards PC because of the videos I've seen of the Living City mod which looks so friggin sweet! The newest thing I've seen on it is restoring cut content which makes it a lot like a remaster of sorts! Very ironic that that one is doing pretty well given the mod versus Ubisoft's idiotic thoughts on the subject manner.
To borrow a quote from Watch Dogs, 'Some fights are worth losing.' It was a good time while it lasted but I don't see them making another one, the game never really managed to get a coherent tone or vibe, or even tell a meaningful story that you don't need to dig into to find something in, but I am a big fan and sad to see it go.
It's sad to hear about the fate of Watch dogs series being uncertain. As a player of both Watch dogs and Watch Dogs 2, in my opinion it's still comparable to other open world games, including GTA 5. Sad because Ubisoft didn't upgrade the potential in previous Watch Dogs when the Legion came out (except the Bloodline DLC when Aiden came back as a protagonist) or upgrade in terms of game's performance for previous Watch Dogs, especially Watch Dogs 2 with the issue of performance or flickering.
If Ubisoft really want to revive Watch Dogs, juat combine of what Watch dogs and Watch dogs 2 is so great: Great mission (based in WD1), great protagonist and their personality (you know, Aiden, Marcus, and Wrench), liveliness of a city (based in WD2), and the big relation of IT world where Watch Dogs series is based.
Watchdogs legion was my first Watchdogs game. I enjoyed it. I'm now play Watchdogs. I think they only way the game can come back strong is they bring Aiden & Wrench back again.
If they continue to go the direction with watchdog im not sad that they would stop.
The first one was my kind of jam. Relatable story and fun innovation.
The second watchdog was also alright. But more easy going. It has pros and cons.
Ubisoft is on thin ice these days with their "get used to not owning games" talk. More and more People are turning sour fast on these greedy type of stuff.
R* is the same: online stuff only because it generates money for them. They don't listen to the playerbase anymore and only have dollarsigns in their view. Very Sad but they will also reap what they sow eventually.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Everyone forgot their condescending NFT adventures. People will forget this too. And many casuals don't even watch stuff like this and pay any attention to these sidenotes. Many of you love acting as if you were a vocal majority when in reality you're often screaming inside echo chambers. Many people never get involved or care about any of this drama. No offense, just what I believe to be the truth.

4:25 i agree, was enjoyable for me first and second, that franchise was different from usual open world games i played, so they were fun for me. Did not play third.
Legion was the nail for me. It was the wake up call that the Ubisoft I knew was long gone. Their games around pre-2016 was peak Ubisoft to me. I've been Ubisoft-free since then and it's been a great call considering their flow against gamers.
im currently playing planet of lana, the audio is incredible the characters are pixilated which isnt everybodies cup of tea but the backgrounds kinda remind me of ghibli

watchdogs 1 and 2 really nailed exactly the kind of thing i wanted in multiplayer.. the ability to get into other players games without them ever even knowing and fucking around with their world. it scratches a very specific itch i want more games to consider
