Candida Auris is a fungus that can cause serious infections in the blood, brain, and other parts of the body.
What makes it particularly concerning is that it's resistant to many types of anti-fungal medications, making it difficult to treat.

🦠 How does Candida Auris spread?
Candida auris can spread through contact with contaminated surfaces or from person to person.
It's often found in healthcare settings, such as hospitals and long-term care facilities, where people are more vulnerable to infection.
This bug has been around since 2016, but is spreading more rapidly now, hence the increase in news coverage and awareness of it now.
