Lol my Nigerian man treats me like a princess he told me “I want to treat you like an infant because you are my baby”, he’s the sweetest most caring person I’ve ever been with. He does for me without me asking or implying he just knows. He loves his family very much and I admire that.

@Anonymous you are wrong on your submission, but let me tell you here though some people might do such a thing but there is no reason to generalised an issues like this if you will agree with me. But there is some Nigerians who are married to some Kenyan women for real. So please I wouldn't want you to just generalise this issue. Though some few people might be interested in getting a documentations from any woman but do not say that everyone one is like that for real. I am very sure that you know the size of the population of Nigeria, so do not think that Nigeria is a small country, in your Kenya that is a smaller nation to be compared with Nigeria are you telling me that everyone in Kenya is good, no of course you know that everyone in Kenya is not good.

ItsEmmaa, that's great, sis! I'm genuinely happy for you. The thing is, a lot of folks have this misconception about Nigerians. We're a nation of 180 million people. We all don't possess the same characteristics. The attitude of folks in the Northern part of Nigeria is different from folks from the Southern part of Nigeria. If I may ask, where are you from?

Peter onyeolu, very well put, brother! She's one of the few Africans that embrace us. The hatred is real. The thing is, some Africans actually believe all Nigerians are bad. It's a shame. Most folks that says Nigerians are dodgy, they're dodgy as well. There are some folks that fall into the victim of circumstances, but majority of them are criminal as well.

Scandinavian and Nigerian! Welcome on board. Fantastic. Next thing is try and visit mother land. Link up with reputation and trusted tourist agencies in Nigeria. Link up with Nigerians but choose wisely. Start with women even on this platform. There are many good Nigerians but also bad ones. That's the world we live in; it is not peculiar to Nigerians. You can also trace your route and hopefully connect with your families back in Nigeria. Again do this with extra care. Good luck and Best wishes.

Well done sis. If you know how to treat a Nigerian man he is yours forever. You are doing things so well that even some Nigeria women fail/refuse to do because some of them have become so westernised that a man means nothing to them. Not suprised Nigerian men are increasingly marrying women from foreign countries. Nigerian women complain that Nigerian men does for foreign women things they don't do for Nigerian women. That's rubbish! Nigerian women tend to take Nigerian men for granted. I have to say that foreign women particularly African women married to Nigerian men are increasingly following these bad Nigerian women's leading to behaviours leading to break down of relationships/marriages. Whether you are a man or a woman; learn/take advice from those who will help make your home and not those who will help to break it.

This is so far the best page on CZcams I have seen someone talk genuinely about Nigerian men. You really did a good job sister. As for the bad images we have of Nigerian men out there, please people let's get one thing straight, there's good and there's bad. Don't use the instinct of bad stereotype to judge a good Nigerian man when he finds you, because that will chase him away and trust me a good Nigerian man is like a gold mine that never runs out of Gold. When he says he's here to stay, he means it and he will do anything to make sure you both work out.

  • @Gregofoma
    @Gregofoma Před 5 lety +8

Hello Faith, you're almost accurate if considered generally. Thank you for the video.
But one thing to help you, men generally dont define love as women. To a woman, she can boldly say one loves her based on care - how he buys her things, tskes her out, spends on her, not necessarily expensive things but MUST buy things for her. To them, it only shows the man has her in his mind always to have remembered to buy her even if it is a candy. So women definition of love is usually along this line.
Buy men definition of love isn't in what the woman offers. If you like, buy him a house, change all his wardrobe, give him best sex, give him, give him, give him..... He would always appreciate your gifts as a good person but that doesn't fully convince him you love him. Generally, a man defines love from a lady through RESPECT LINE, especially an Igbo man! If he tells you something to do & you agree to do that, he sees it that you ABSOLUTELY TRUSTS HIS LEADERSHIP & WISDOM. This makes him go mad about you. Why? This is mostly bcos of their culture & the Christian teaching which commands man to love & woman to respect. They re 99% Christians & religious (I didnt say godly - that's arguement for another day)
And I think it is absolutley correct! You can make Igbo man look like a puppet in your hands if you respect him. He can give you all his world!
In all, thank you for the video

Young lady, its not just Nigerian man that requires respect; to express your opinion you have to do it respectfully and if he is hot or angry that is not the time to express your opinion. If you want peace, you will keep quiet and address it at a later time- this is maturity, it does not make you soft or stupid.
Also, Faith your best friend should be your husband, although until you are married , you are a girlfriend. If engaged, when are you getting married, 9 years is a long time. Good luck in your relationship. Thank you for sharing your video about Nigerian Men.

faith thanks for the effort in posting this video. I appreciate the open mindedness with which you shared your appreciation of your man.
Permit me however to make the point that this whole video could have been made to celebrate your man as a "man" and not as a Nigerian man. Unless of course your point is that the one youve got embodies all Nigerian men. What experience have you had with other men, or particularly African/West African men to make you think these are peculiar Nigerian traits? What if these traits you love are obtainable in other African men and not peculiar to Nigerians, that invalidates your singling out Nigerian men for these points.
Please i do not intend to act as a damper on your enthusiasm, but please do not generalise this perspective as a national issue. I'm not one for generalisations - good or bad. Conversely, if things were bad with your experience with this man, seems to me you would have generalised it as a national issue too.
As you may have read from my other comment, Im bemused by how you could have been in a "dating" relationship for almost a decade and not married. In most cases like this (not always) trust issues are involved

Make sure you get to know him very well first, his past what he does for a living etc.and in the other hand just love him for who he is... ask him about his culture and talk about things you can & can’t do but in a understandable manner that way both of you can create a healthy relationship because their culture is so rich and beautiful and maybe some things you might like them or not it depends 😉 Thanks for subscribing and hope have helped out a little bit 🥰

Faith Kitama Thank you so much Faith! I am actually very very interested in learning about his culture, it’s one of the things that interests me, because he’s not just an every day kind of person who I’ve met all my life. I know his work situation because I met him on a project that we were working on together although we were contracted with two different companies so we don’t work together. Your advice is pretty much what I planned on doing, I just don’t know the culture that well and wanted to be careful not to say or do anything that they are very sensitive about, or that kind of thing.
