- What if Junpei Yoshino Survived? What if Mahito didn't kill Junpei? How much would the story change? How would Junpei adapt into this new world of sorcery? In this new alternative timeline of jujutsu kaisen what if here is a scenario in which junpei's death never happened. Mahito kills Junpei no more and now Yuji and Junpei can fight the disaster curse together. How does Junpei fit into the Shibuya Incident of JJK? Could Junpei help people like Megumi or Nobara in Shibuya and most importantly would he interfere with Nobara's death or Yuji & Todo vs Mahito? Junpei already had a real cursed technique. It was poison, which he channels through his shikigami. Mahito explicitly tells Junpei as much in chapter 26

Plus, you can not summon a Shikigami without a curse technique which gives you that ability

@@connorb1775 Shikigami require an intermediary of some sort. That can be a Talisman or hair or something else. You don't need an Innate Technique to summon Shikigami, you just need Cursed Energy and an Intermediary
I think Junpei could actually enhance Nobura’s character arc. Junpei was able to fight Yuji with zero combat experience, and Yuji could handle a special grade for a short while. Being shown up by your classmate, then seeing Nanami blow you out of the water? On top of all that, Junpei attacks at medium range. Nobura would probably take a back line in the fight, resulting in her not dying.

I was very sad about this death. I was so mad that he died and the intro made you think he was going to be a main character. He'd have been a great friend with Yuta too.
I mean, I don't think it's necessarily true that Junpei would have had to avoid the idol transformation entirely, the fact he speaks to Yuji is enough to suggest he had some level of self awareness remaining. If we changed up the timeline enough that Mahito was a bit more unfamiliar with his technique, Junpei could have easily continued as another Panda-esque character, or Nezuko, slowly working his way back to being more human. This could also have come back around when Todo gets his arm transformed, Junpei could have assisted with bringing Todo back to more or less full functionality and allow him to participate in the Culling Games arc as a key character.
Except for the part where humans don’t really survive drastic changes to their bodies. And even if he’s able to survive it, there isn’t a way to reverse it. Unless Mahito decides to do so himself

Nobara didn’t unlock the core of her cursed energy in shibuya anyway. She did when she black flashed and was trying to do it again in shibuya but I thought she failed.
His cursed technique theme is: spineless, poisonous, and a third party (shikogami).
Upgrading the jellyfish to an octopus keeps it on theme.
The spinelesnes is now fluid evasiveness.
The insidious poison is now direct heat.
Shikigami to transformation, makes it personal, with a transitional armor step.
Tying in the poisonous jelly to cigarrets and them to a heated smoke octopus is genious.
Also, now an unhindered junpei can shave the side of his head and get a cool kraken tentacle tatoo up his neck and to his forehead, using the cigarret burnscars the suction cups.

So much potential with the Moon Dregs + Junpei fusion, could be a big buff man that can takes hits while poisoning anything that touches it, a pac man kinda form that changes it’s shape to consume the enemies, suffocating and poisoning them. Domain expansion would go hard too.

one thing that might have happened to jumpei is that because he becomes trained to used cursed energy and is fueled with hate he might develop a small natural defense to mahito basic attacks due to his soul already having an encounter with mahito his soul might be better at defending itself due to being aware of mahito.

real talk I can see junpei being the one to die instead (thinking too much like gege 💀) , knowing that while sad that he couldn’t really be the one to kill mahito, his intervention in shibuya saved nobara’s life, knowing that the two natural enemies of mahito will be enough to kill the cursed spirit

And the same as Yuji, junpei is a result of megumi’s selfish decision to save Yuji’s life, he’s seeing the after effects of what he did, that the gears of the world are just cause a kid who went through hard personal times and who lost someone dear to him (who megumi can relate cause of her coma of a sister) can now smile and laugh
It would of been cool to see the Junpei/megumi interaction both in character interactions and fighting style.

Could’ve reached grade 2 but then again if he trained harder and improved his cursed energy maybe his shikigami would’ve grown stronger he would should have also started using cursed tools then maybe he would’ve reached grade 1
Another interesting thing about this scenario I noticed you didn't say, is that since Nobara and Junpei would exhaust Haruta's miracles, that would mean that Sukuna would not fight Mahoraga since Megumi is the one who summons it against Haruta, meaning in the Final Battle in Shinjuku, Sukuna wouldn't have Mahoraga tamed. This also means that Megumi wouldn't be injured, which means either He would fight Sukuna or that he would join sides with Yuji against Mahito.

So actual question; If Haruta gets poisoned it can only be recovered from with advanced rct to remove it. so would haruta cure himself to death? or would he be like in a state of dying for all of his miracles?
I feel like he would be a background character that has a normal (as normal as he can have) life but if hes needed he will join back with the main cast until the problem is solved. (I think Nanami does a similar thing, if so hes basically an inexperienced Nanami)
