Thanks for the video. The Kawasaki FH601v on my Scag Tiger Cub started surging the last time I used it. I replaced the fuel filter and filling the hose from the pump to the carb with carb cleaner and ran that through the engine which didn't fix the issue (it's never that easy). I took my carb off and cleaned it after watching your vidwo as mine looked the same as yours on the outside and turned out to be the same on the inside as well. Only difference I noticed was it looks like your needle is metal whereas mine is plastic with a rubber tip. It was very helpful to see what to expect before tearing into it. I was able to reuse everything and I think the issue was something in one of the tiny holes on the carb as it initially had some resistance when trying to run a tiny piece of wire through it. I ran the wire through all holes followed by carb cleaner, put it back together, and it is running smoothly now. I think I could have ordered the same kit you did, if needed, based on what I saw in your video, or my nearby Scag dealer said the various o-rings were available individually just not as a kit (at least not for my exact engine). I before pulling the carb, I also tried starting the engine with the hose from the fuel pump to the carb off to verify the pump was working. I was surprised to see some debris in the fuel from the pump. I let the pump run a little to clear off of that out (this was after I replaced the fuel filter). I cut open the old filter since I couldn't see inside of it well, and found the side of the element going to the carb loose. I may have broke it loose cutting it apart but seeing the debris that that came out of the pump makes me think it was loose inside and maybe what cause my issue to start with by letting something get inside of the carb. Anyway, thanks again for the video.

Sir. I want to thank you for your video! I sorta got a little bit aggravated with my choke linkage on my Kawasaki engine, we had a fight and well… It’s now shaped a tad different than before. Lol. But really not funny. I’m sure you understand. Tip! For those planning on taking off your carb. Go ahead and take off your metal back cage and exhaust protector so you will have plenty of room to work and not get into a fighting match with that throttle and choke linkage! You will thank me later. Anyway sir. Your video helped me find the right holes to hook my choke and throttle linkage back up correctly after we calmed down and became friends again. Thank you again my good friend for your video!

I'm so glad to see your video on that carb. I have one on a husqvarna gth2254xp lawn tractor. I can't find anything for the carb rebuild. I think that video has kept me from the far end of crazy cause now I know where to get the gaskets and "o"rings. I've been making my own. Thanks bud, I appreciate it.

The spring loaded screw on the bowl appears to be just a drain plug is that correct?
