You can tell Olivia and her team put together a great arrangement. So many artist doing covers on Radio1 do not put much thought/effort into it and it sounds bad. Olivia did not try to emulate the original but sang it within her vocal style which worked out perfectly. This was a great cover and she did it justice.

When I was listening to this album for the first time I actually thought "this weirdly has an Olivia Rodrigo vibe." They both have a beautiful, interesting way of breaking up lines in the middle of a sentence. They're also both so aware of how all of the instruments on a track, including their own voices, fit together. I'm so stoked to see what they both continue to do in their future careers!

I’ve watched this cover around 15 times. Olivia killed it. I’m convinced that she could do any genre. Pop, rock, indie, folk, country, etc. Hell, she even sort of raps on “ballad of a homeschooled girl” and “get him back!” So excited for her future in music and loving what we’re getting now.
I don't get why this talented girl gets so much hate. Noah uploaded this cover with a nice message on his Instagram and the coment section is full of people hating on her. Just why? Sorry if I made grammar mistakes.
It's textbook honestly. Whenever there is a very young woman who becomes both critically and commercially successful in a very short period of time AND at an extremely early stage of her career this happens. There's an exact pattern that keeps repeating over and over again. First everyone's praising her and being impressed, then one group of those people become actual fans, another just casual listeners and the third are haters. They'll find something wrong in everything she does, it doesn't matter how she does it, or why, because it's not about her, it's about them being bitter and jealous, that's all there is to it really. Some people just don't like to see others shine, especially if the "other" is a young girl. Also, there's this prejudice with a large group of people that if you become as popular and famous as Olivia is that you somehow no longer can be viewed as an actual artist (nor a person for that matter, but that's a whole other conversation) and therefore you automatically become overrated. Which is BS, since the main reason she got so popular and famous in the first place is because she is an amazing artist. Still, don't mind the haters, she's topping charts with her new album left and right and her tour is already sold out, so there are obviously way more fans. That's all that matters, the rest aren't worth anyone's time.
I think she has a lot more people admiring her talent than haters. But she’s breaking records and she’s at the top of the charts and there’s nothing they can do about it.

I don't get why this talented girl gets so much hate.
Noah uploaded this cover with a nice message on his Instagram and the coment section is full of people hating on her.

It's textbook honestly. Whenever there is a very young woman who becomes both critically and commercially successful in a very short period of time AND at an extremely early stage of her career this happens. There's an exact pattern that keeps repeating over and over again. First everyone's praising her and being impressed, then one group of those people become actual fans, another just casual listeners and the third are haters. They'll find something wrong in everything she does, it doesn't matter how she does it, or why, because it's not about her, it's about them being bitter and jealous, that's all there is to it really. Some people just don't like to see others shine, especially if the "other" is a young girl. Also, there's this prejudice with a large group of people that if you become as popular and famous as Olivia is that you somehow no longer can be viewed as an actual artist (nor a person for that matter, but that's a whole other conversation) and therefore you automatically become overrated. Which is BS, since the main reason she got so popular and famous in the first place is because she is an amazing artist. Still, don't mind the haters, she's topping charts with her new album left and right and her tour is already sold out, so there are obviously way more fans. That's all that matters, the rest aren't worth anyone's time.

I think she has a lot more people admiring her talent than haters. But she’s breaking records and she’s at the top of the charts and there’s nothing they can do about it.
