You could literally play through all of those albums, and it would take about 10 stylus’s. That’s insane!
It would take awhile for sure!
Hey guys! All I can say is WOW! I cannot believe you guys came across this amazing collection! It's nothing but gem after gem after gem!!! The sealed DRI Thrashzine would have given me a heart attack, along with the Fates Warning No Exit! That DP live is unreal, and sealed, crazy stuff! I also loved the Canadian content with Rush and Exciter! Looking very forward to Part 2! Cheers from Canada!🤘
Thanks so much for watching and the kind words!!
Congrats on a totally awesome finds and amazingly, STILL SEALED, STILL SEALED, STILL SEALED.....!!! I've got that adrenaline rush just watching this. Thanks for sharing and ☮️.
Thanks for watching and the kind words!
We need an update video of you guys flipping through all the best stuff you got
Uploading tonight
The sealed Guns and Roses and Depeche Mode are gold!
15 years ago I found at goodwill 2000 records for $150 Canadians- that was a find- from Cure to Beatles and in between.
Awesome!!
This must be the time when Goodwill was forced to close down. I've got some crazy stories on the Goodwill, Yorkdale location in Toronto.
wow, theres some awesome records in there so far, more videos please
Thanks for watching!
I'm not into 33rpm records but cool stuff!
awesome! I just bought a little stash of 10 records at a yard sale yesterday!
Awesome!!!
Those German KISS albums have different band logos on the covers. The original KISS logo looked like the Nazi SS so the covers were redone. Check it out!
At 5:43
Wow! Had no idea thanks for the heads up we will look at them!
Yes, it's no secret that in Germany they print the logos with S's instead of the Nazi inspired SS symbols. No explanation required for that obviously!
They are not original, but reissues from the mid 80's.
Capability Brown is on The Famous Charisma label, Peter Gabriel - Melt (4) is on that. Otherwise known as just Charisma. I refer to a warped record as a playable warp, I'm not thrilled about record flatners (sp?), wouldn't it screw up the playback?
Thanks for the knowledge! We got a vinyl flat. And if you clean the record extremely well, it fixes warped records great! Cannot even tell. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for inspiring me to start collecting records! Because of you guys, I finally got my first record collection. I found someone's collection they were throwing away and ending having stuff like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, CCR (which was an error pressing) and a complete Chicago box set. There was also some original Johnny Cash, Elvis, Ricky Nelson and Frankie Avalon records all from the 50s. Thank you for inspiring me.
That's fantastic Riley!! Join us at our live record auctions sometime! Always a blast. We stream live on our Facebook page every Saturday night. 7:30pm Est !! Next show is tonight. This hobby is so fun!
Just watching you go through it all was fun.. Any old punk I'd luck to see.😁
Great haul.
The records are cool too.
Well done guys, that is one awesome collection
Those guns n roses, jazz and hip hop joints are sweet!
Congratulations!! Totally awesomeness! Thanks for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😀 👍 ❤️ 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 ♥️ 🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉💯💯💯💯💯
This is unreal, and this is coming from someone who crate dug during the 90s, when people looked at you like you were nuts for " wasting time with those old relics" lol
Guys I do enjoyed watching this. Every record Dani would pull out I’m jumping around so excited. So many great metal and rock albums. NICE !!!!
The Liter is bad ass! Anything by them is great! 👍
Not totally green with envy only slightly light mint well done on the score 👍
Thanks for watching!🤗
Whomever has that many albums, is better than me!! I have over 500. They all span from the 1950's-2000's. I have a long way to go!!
What a haul! So jealous. That Caravan - Blind dog at St Dunstans is an illustration of a street near me. Look up "St Dunstans, Canterbury UK" then do street view and go down towards the Westgate towers, still looks very similar.
That is a amazing, what a great collection
Thanks it really was!
Slipknot! I am really good friends with Donnie Steele. Met him like 2 years ago.
I was never a Slipknot fan which is probably why we get along so well. We go to lunch and talk current life and not his life with Slipknot.
How in Gods name could you never heard of the Famous Charisma Label!!
Oh my lord that’s a ginormous collection!
When you buy collections like this do you ask how many times the collection has been picked over for all the super rare stuff?
Hey! Great stuff... Love the sealed metal original pressings. I'm curious what vinyl de warper you are using and what your thoughts are on it? thanks!
Vinyl Flat! Nice product
@@BacktotheMedia Have you heard anything about the Record Pi?
I need those Eric B & Rakim & Gucci Crew records & all the hip hop too! I’m gonna check ur sites out. Too bad I’m in Illinois or I’d visit ur shop!
Very cool
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations guys
Thank You!
I wish I had the opportunity and the funds to buy this many albums😊😊😊😊
THE MAIN QUESTION HERE IS " ARE YOU GOING TOO SELL ANY ? " I NEED SOME 80'S.
Yes we have been selling them all on our Facebook page record auctions. Also in store and soon on our whatnot page. Follow us @backtothemedia
Gold ....excellent buy.
Thanks for watching!
Any mention to the price of it all??
Are these gonna be for sale? If so where?
Where are you guys located? Wondering if you had a record store or not.
Yes we do located in Winchester Virginia. This was filmed in the back of our record store
How do I contact you to buy? I am in Canada and need the HELIX record.
Thanks
Welcome back holy cow
some metal stuff
So those Dexter Gordon records. Pull those out and check condition and pressing. When you went past those I was screaming at my TV "NO GO BACK!"
If you need help identifying them dm me. I'll be happy to help.
Thanks for the tip! We'll check them out
I had a copy of Emerge by the Litter. Gave it away to a fan of the Minneapolis band.
Cool stuff! Thanks for watching
14:46 Let me just get all those jazz records… I’m amazed at many of them…
This is Doc Smith too…
Now that is one awesome collection. Are you guys going to digitize any or all of those just in case of an emergency? just asking.
I'm sure all of these are already digitized on CZcams! Thanks for watching!
@@BacktotheMedia Oh, oh ok. At least get them insured then. Hey you never know what might happen. I know if I had a collection like that and something would happen like a fire or even worse, theft. I would be so upset etc. Anyway... Cool collection and video thanks for sharing. That is awesome to have.
Wow that Living Color! Looks like “Love Rears Its Ugly Head.”
When will these be in the store?
Couple totes already are! But each day more gets leaks in the store and through our record auction every Saturday night
do you sell on line, like Ebay etc?
YES we have a website www.backtothemedia.com also we do a live record auction on our Facebook page every Saturday night 7:30pm est. We ship anywhere in the US and start records off at $1. To participate simply visit our Facebook page at said time and click on the live stream. Hope to see you around! Next show is tonight :-)
I’ll definitely take that Coolies off your hands!!!
That Exciter 🤟
What kind of a record dealer pick up a Charisma label record and says “I don’t know this label” ? That’s a huge hole in your knowledge…
Good thing I wasn't taking a test! Amirite!!! 🤣 Thanks for taking the time to watch and drop a comment ✌
Don't be a dick.
Read “Srat!” - the story of Charisma’s founder - Tony Stratton Smith.
I think charisma label is more famous to U.K. collectors
You better finish this video.kind of like starting great sex and having to stop…
7:35 Donald D Notorious! Used to love that album!!
You passed up a lot of good stuff. What do you want for that Dexter Gordon blows hot and cold?
We bought it all so didn't pass on any. Message us on Facebook happy to pull that record for you. Thanks
The litter - Emerge. $100-150 rare psych guys!!!!
Yikes! Probably be going in the keep stash 🤗 thanks for the tip!
Amazing hayl! I guss I would find so many records that would be cool to own. or ALL. :D
mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
Send your URP rep a list of any KISS you find 😉
LOTS OF KISS+!! 🙂🔥🔥
@@BacktotheMedia - you know my email 😉
I wonder how much you paid for it?
HA! My friend's dad was the bass player for Helstar.
That's awesome! Thanks for watching
Bojangles fries are up there
These cats get blown away by the most common ordinary albums 😄.
That's the Charisma label dude, a pretty common label.
Of course we do. We're a record store 🤣. You know how many Fleetwood Mac rumours we have sold? I'd love to buy 100 more tbh. Common records sell way better than the rare ones!
@@BacktotheMedia
You're a record store but you've never seen the Charisma label?
It's just funny seeing people get excited over Heart records
How much did you pay for that- ????
Tyrant sealed is great.
Metal always did,do and will sale.
Classics from the 70s-80s even on tapes too.
But as long as they don't cost you more than 50 cent to a buck a piece.
Many enthusiasts love edges mint only.
Doro's a great find but far from her best work.
Sealed will get you a good 20$.
Helloween,Fates Warning!!! Ebay these!
Hey Steve, thanks for the input! Some of these will go in the bins at our brick and mortar shop for our locals to enjoy and some will go on our weekly Saturday night live vinyl sale that we do on our Facebook page. We've been doing this for almost 10 years now and yes, you're right metal is always popular. Thanks for watching!
@@BacktotheMedia Thx bro.
We are all teachers for each others.
All best.
How much for the "America" self titled?
Send us a message on our Facebook page please and we can get a transaction going. Be happy to hook you up
@@BacktotheMedia I don't have Facebook.
My GF does.
Capability brown super good
I acn tell you a lot about those albums
Why is there so much excitement over that Depeche Mode record? There are multiple VG+ copies on Discogs right now for under $40 shipped. The internet, what a concept.
If you watched with the sound on, you'd have heard and SEEN that this copy was SEALED. $150+ record easily ✌ Paying attention, what a concept
@@BacktotheMedia Lol no, not "easily." There's a sealed copy on Discogs right now for $100. Unless you find some mint condition Zamrock or a first state butcher cover in those bins, you're not exactly unearthing gold here.
Wait...so we're not supposed to get excited over a $100 record. 🤣 This is clearly the only video you've watched of ours. Go watch our video where we buy 20,000 records. That might be more your speed. We pulled a sealed Manila Machine outta there. If you know what that is. I'm sure you do....
In all honesty tho, your comment comes off so bitter. We been in business for 9 years. Had enough grails to make your head spin. Packed and shipped 14,000 Lps in the last 3 years. Speaking of butchers, we've had 3 lol. One is in our CZcams video if you wanna vet us some more 👍
@@BacktotheMedia Not bitter in the slightest, I'm more than satisfied with the value of my record collection 😂😂 Y'all are just cringe getting so excited over basic, easy-to-get stuff. But hey, not tryin to yuck your yum, just found it funny.
Were a business aswell as collectors. We get excited over a Fleetwood Mac record. You know why? WE SELL EVERY ONE WE GET 🤣 Our customers want the common records too and we like being well stocked. Our channel isnt about finding the rarest albums on the planet. It's a small look into buying collections and running a Media store in 2022. Also we just have fun with it. You bet I'm gonna get stoked finding 15 Zeppelin albums right before the holidays. Peace ✌
I have that Coolies album. All the songs are Simon & Garfunkel covers done in 80s garage style. It's not great.
Very interesting! Gonna have to spin it!
Interesting. I would want to know who the person was who collected all those records and what their story was. A good way to tell if collection was curated by someone who knew what they were doing vs. an ocd dude. Also, ballpark: What did you pay for 5000 lps? My guess is it's curated.
It was sold by someone who inherited it after some family had passed. Collection consisted of curated titles, then tons of sealed lps from a record store buyout in the 90s. And then even consisted of a second family members hard rock metal stuff. Little bit of everything in here. We dont disclose what we pay however it was a great deal for them and us! Thanks for watching.
@@BacktotheMedia It seems pretty awesome and quite broad, and a knowledgeable person's collection! You lucked out! Thanks for the background. Those don't come around everyday! Good luck with it!
I have a question. I will start with this first. I have 1500 vinyl LPs and 500 Cds I listen to radio a lot , the question is this. How do you find time to listen to 5000 records , (you dont as lots were sealed) , so also , why would you buy them ? MY guess he was given them
We own a record store and sell records to new buyers who listen to them. We also collect records ourselves. We pay cash for collections like these every week.
@@BacktotheMedia you missed the point .. 5000 records , how can you ever listen to them all.The question is aimed at people who own such numbers of Lps.
Just to get it out of the way. How many are 1.00 records and you better check for warping. Lol
About 2 totes
I just like to come talk music with you two one day.
Was that a butcher in the box ?
There is some shite in there don't get carried away.. But there is a lot of fine stuff mainly
We're alot of those promos?
Yes finding alot of promos so far!
what a weird eclectic collection. Why are so many of these still sealed? Doesn't seem like a private collection
the problem of getting such a big collection at once is that you're never be able to appreciate on it's entirely. it happened to me with a small haul of 50 items, what to say of something 100 times bigger! Anyway, you guys have a lot of work to do to say the least. Enjoy!
Our customers will definitely appreciate everything while digging through our record bins! As a record store, we need collections like these. Thanks for watching!
@@BacktotheMedia oh I didn't know you had a record store, now it makes more sense. Good luck!
@@GustavoScafuro yep! We actually mention it at the beginning of the video and film this in the back room of our shop😅 Thanks again for watching and dropping a comment!
These people are clueless unless its 90’s rap.
Clueless? Haha, very funny. We haven’t shipped over 20k records across the US from being “clueless” Thanks for watching though!
Happy for you / your shop but geez do you brag and boast about how wrong your viewers are a lot in this video.
We love all our supporters, customers, and viewers. We get alotta harsh record critics. We know it comes with the territory, but if you're new here.. Dani loves giving it back 🤣 100% transparency on this channel 🤗
aburres cin tanto hablar le voy a cambiar
Gracias por ver!!!!
Crazy! Dare I ask how much you paid?
