Greatest guitar riff intro EVER!! Checkout Ice T's version from his rock band "Body Count"
🙌🙌‼️‼️
......Ice Cube's WHAT?
Brb gonna go check this out. That sounds sick.
Edit: Confirmed stank face. This sounds like a cross between Beastie Boys, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. I fucking love it.
Body Count definitely does this tune justice. They do "Postmortem" at the end with Vincent Price (bass) on vocals🤘
@@FandangoHoward ice- T not ice cube
@@FandangoHoward Ice T
Slayer Guitarist Kerry King does the guitar solo in No Sleep Til Brooklyn..
🙌🙌‼️‼️
Slayer are metal gods.
This intro is super iconic in the metal world
probably my favorite of all time.
💙💙💙‼️
"Angel of Death" must be next!!
🙌🙌‼️‼️
South of Heaven or Repentless, but yea. 2016 album was nuts, though not a big Slayer fellow cheers mate
Slayer - Angel of Death
Slayer - war ensemble
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Those two songs are just some of their biggest hits... but very heavy and more aggression 🤘🏽😎
Seasons in the Abyss, Epidemic, Postmortem.
Welcome to thrash metal! You began your journey with the best there is! Slayer!
Can't wait!
I grew-up during the thrash-era in the mid-late-80s. So many good bands and songs to hear from that time -
Whiplash - Stage Dive
Death Angel - Thrashers
DRI (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) - Five Year Plan
The Accused - (any song)
The above will get you started.
Fun fact: Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz once sampled this song with their tune 'Stop Fuckin' Wit Me'. I remember being at college in the early-mid 2000s and hearing someone in my class put it on and thinking "Hey, I recognise that riff".
Ice-T and his band Body Count does a cover of this song. But it's call Reign In Blood. It pretty damn good. You should do a comparison to them. Ice-T's version bleeds into the Slayer song Postmortem at the end. On the Slayer album, Postmortem plays right before Raining Blood.
Betttt
FUCKING SLAYER!!! Seasons in the Abyss, South of Heaven, Cast Down ,Payback, Gemini, Repentless are all great choices to go to next..that's a mix of 90s, early and late 2000s
.everyone else is going to request Angel of Death so you'll get the hint on that one lmao 🤘🤘🤘Keep it up bro! Love the channel!
Bettttt
When I was in high school, my school was filled with metal heads ('bangers' short for headbangers in our terms), and Slayer was top shelf. This was part of the soundtrack to my high school years, lol.
Fun fact: At an assembly in the gym, don't recall what it was for, but there were technical difficulties and the mic cut out for whoever was speaking. They couldn't figure it out and in the interim, someone starting singing Slayer's Angel of Death. Four lines in the REST of the student body assembled in the gym started singing along. Knew every word. Didn't stop until the end of the song. It was the most school unity I'd ever seen.
My favorite Slayer tune? Black Magic. That intro and it just doesn't relent once it gets it's teeth into you.
Oh wow ‼️
Great Vid. Slayer are part of the big 4 of thrash...Slayer, Metallica, Mega Death, and Anthrax. Can't go wrong with any of them.
Waiting for the next reaction. Keep up the good work. Stay Happy and Healthy
Thank you so much, same to you as well
Holy hell 🤯🤯🤯🤯
That guitar riff was insane 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
Righttt lindaaaa
Hello Stax, I hope your enjoying your journey of discovering ole' school hip-hop & rap from all different time periods. We are enjoying watching you discover all of these wonderful tunes from the past. I thought I'd suggest another rapper, if interested. "Heavy D & The Boyz - Mr. Big Stuff" (by the channel: hdtv) --Dwight Myers is known professionally as Heavy D. He was a Jamaican born American rapper, record producer, and actor. Myers was the frontman for the group "Heavy D. & The Boyz" he was one of the first rappers to be signed to "Uptown Record" from Mount Vernon, New York. He also produced hip-hop, and R&B music. And as always, I enjoyed rocking with you. Thanks for sharing.
Brooo, you have to see Ice-t's cover of this. He is a huge Slayer fan and his band Body Count did a killer cover in 2017. Search Body Count - Raining blood you won't regret it.
Betttttt
Seeing them play this live is the craziest thing I ever attended. And I’m not a huge Slayer fan. Everybody went nuts fighting basically. Or maybe it was just me
I went with several friends of mine and one of them got so freaked out by the crowd he started crying. Total pussy. He got arrested for attempted rape later. Needless to say, he is no longer a friend.
🙌🙌‼️‼️
Nah, you're right! They were VERY violent.
War Ensemble and Dead Skin Mask are pretty sick, too!
I’ll add to the list 💙💙
Lol, I told ya STAX! 😂 Doesn't get much harder than Slayer! People used to not survive their live shows, it was not for the faint of heart. Dangerous mosh pit near the stage. Crazy. 💯
🔥🔥🔥
❤
You'd better duct tape your boots to your feet, or you might loose them in a Slayer pit.
@@farmonious420 True, but more likely to lose some teeth.
😂ok now this is real thrash metal, Sepultura - Inner Self next please
‼️‼️🙌🙌
Any song from their album ARISE will be badass to listen 🤘🏽😎
What to know something crazy? At the same time Rick Rubin was producing the Beastie Boys first album he was producing this album. I'm telling you this song here is a top tier rap song "Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire ft. Despot, Das Racist, Danny Brown, EL-P - The Last Huzzah (Remix)"
🙌🙌‼️‼️
Omg u went there 😍😍 SLAYERRRRRR!!!!! When i was 15 i had a crush on boy who had a Slayer tshirt on...30years later havnt stopped listening and seen them 3/4 times (nz and australia). They all beasts but Tom Araya..legend. seasons in the abyss. The whole album lol ❤ p.s dunno what happened to the boy crush 😂 awesome react Stax 😊
Thank you so much Sam for sharing!
SLAYYYYEEEEERRRRR seen them a few times live! Check out South Of Heaven next
Also check out SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL - VIKING!
🙌🙌‼️‼️
CRASH! More of an Iron Maiden man myself but I can certainly see the appeal. They influenced so many -Ministry-Slipknot-Rage Against Machine-Body Count etc..... ❤ thats some hard core shit! Good stuff!❤
🙌🙌🔥🔥
Seasons in the Abyss is my favorite Slayer track
THIS is metal! Welcome to the pit young man! 🤘🤘🤘
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️‼️
arguably the best thrash/ power metal song ever IMO.
‼️‼️🙏🏽🙏🏽
I think thisnis the first time I have watched a reaction without stopping every fuckin second. I know it is cause copyright reasons but fuck yeah dude! Subscribed
FUUUCCKKKKINNN SLLLLLAAYYYEERR!
Yesssss💙💙💙
I got a band for ya man, Sepultura. Also think it would be hilarious for you to review Gwar
Dig that. Dig it deep.
Slayer are true legends of thrash. From what I remember they formed in 1981 which was the same year Metallica formed and Metallica left L.A., mainly because they wanted to add killer bass player Cliff Burton who lived in San Francisco, but also because glam metal acts such as Motley Crue, Ratt, many others were more popular and I think Slayer decided to fill the void and became an even harsher and darker thrash metal band. That album was released in 1986 which was a hell of a year for thrash with Metallica releasing Master of Puppets, the last album with Burton (R.I.P.), and the Capital major debut of Megadeth's Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? Rick Rubin, who discovered the Beastie Boys, worked with Russell Simmons and Run D-M-C, and produced albums over the years for Danzig, Slayer, Metallica, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, signed Slayer to his Def Jam, later American, records label that I think is connected to Warner Brothers records. Reign in Blood was their major label debut and I know guitarist Kerry King did guitar parts on the Beastie Boys debut album and said if he'd been more savvy that he'd have asked for a percentage instead of $100 and a case of beer because License to Ill hit big in 1986 too. Bigger than many of the aforementioned albums. The record was so short that both the A and B side of the cassette was the entire album. I want share one funny story, sorry for the long comment, but an artist friend of mine who has a side hustle of creating gig posters for bands met about eight years ago with the two remaining original members Kerry King and Tom Araya to show them an image for a poster and possible t-shirt design to be sold on the band's website. It was of a topless demon woman and Kerry asked if he could change it to a man and he said, "Sure, but why?" King, "We don't want to upset our female base." Him, "Wait? You are Slayer, correct? Anti-everything and you are scared of the MeToo movement?" Both nodding and King, "Yeah man! It's scary." True story and keep up the videos. Really enjoying seeing young people discover amazing music from my teen years.
💙💙🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great reaction. This album was the most extreme metal music back in mid-80s - there had been nothing as aggressive and insane as this at that point. Slayer are a highly influential metal band - most extreme metal bands from late 80s on were influenced by them. Check out Morbid Angel (best death metal band ever imo) for what I would call the next step in this direction - 'Maze of Torment' is a must-listen from their debut album.
Wow thank you so much 💙🙏🏽
Of course there are the most popular Slayer songs everyone will recommend. Probably easier to get views but everyone fucking reacts to Angel Of Death, South of Heaven, Dead Skin Mask, Raining Blood, War Ensemble, Mandatory Suicide. Thats 3 albums out of a plethora.
What about these fucking gems!!
Live Undead
Evil Has No Boundaries
Tormentor
At Dawn They Sleep
Jihad
Gemini
Point
Silent Scream
Catatonic
Killing Fields
Kill Again
Sorry... i just fucking love SLAYER! 😂
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️‼️🔥🙏🏽
Awesome homie
Appreciate it
Yeah dude
One of my favorite bands
Give me the happy happy joy joy feeling
Get in the P I t
💙💙🙌🙌
My all time favorite Slayer Song is Skeletons of Society, you do need to check out Gwar but you must see Gwar to believe Gwar. check out anything from Live From Antarctica.
Betttt
Ohhhhh we doing this ....bwhahaha 💀🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻☠️
🙌🙌🙌
Lyrics are something to pull up too, raining blood/reign in blood.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I am NOT a Slayer fan, but I do like a few songs. Mainly his vocals kind of kill my enjoyment although I do like the actual music. Body Count does an excellent cover of this song, of which Ice-T is a HUGE Slayer fan, so it fits that Body Count did the cover. Other Slayer tunes I like: Seasons in the Abyss, Angel of Death, Dead Skin Mask, Repentless...
I’ll check it for sure
Fr, id love to take you to a metal show.
🙌🙌🙌
Do one of Ice T/Body Count's modern tracks, his metal accumen is great. No Lives Matter, Civil War, Black Hoodie, Bitch In The Pit, Talk Shit Get Shot, etc
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥
So so much music. Music from past to present. Volbeat has some nice tunes. Never did much in the way of Slayer. There is some crazy stuff out there like Ghetto Boys stuff from the early 90s. We had crazy stuff. Can't say I liked everything, cause some of it was too crazy for me.
Couldn't agree more!
Try METALSTORM FACE THE SLAYER and CRIONICS from Slayer's first full record
Betttt
I know it is a lot to take in but I feel Postmortem has to be played before Raining Blood.
Same with Altar of Sarifice into Jesus Saves 🤘🏻🤘🏻
🙌🙌🙌
Listen to bris - panhandling LLTRICKYDANCEMOVES🕺
Again with the good stuff Stax, great. Next - War Ensemble.
🙌🙌‼️‼️
I love metal but even some of these parts are too much for me, apart from the kick ass riffs of course lol but love that you enjoy it and keep a d open mind to this hard stuff, imagine you listening to this 5 years ago what your reaction would have been 🙏
💙💙‼️‼️
My last comment. I promise. Im sorry for spamming this video everyone.
I hink he best two albums to ease someone into Slayer would be Divine Intervention and Diabolus In Musica. Not their strongest work by any means but for someone coming from hiphop/rap.. it may be easier to digest.

Now you are really falling down the rabbit hole.
How about another Korn song it’s been awhile. Korn - A.D.I.D.A.S.
I’ll check it out for sure thank you
React to Megadeth please! I saw you react to alot of metal and Megadeth are apart of the big four of thrash metal. React to their most popular song, Holy Wars...The Punishment Due!
I have them on the list for this week
You NEED TO START WITH EARLY SLAYER AND WORK YOUR Way UP.
draft night tnight! you watchin?!
Fasho gangggg
@@StaxReacts dm if u need a link, i got one!
Biohazard - Punishment. Trust me.
🙌🙌‼️‼️
Can you react to Big L All Black.
‼️‼️🙏🏽🙏🏽
Sometimes reactors jump in the deep end with a band to start with. This is Slayers deep end. Its a trash metal masterpiece, but some of their other songs are more palatable to new ears. Seasons in the Abyss, War Ensemble, Skeletons of Society, South of Heaven are better suggestions for a first time listener. Angel of Death is the Magnum Opus.
🙌‼️💪🏾
As a huge metal head myself, sometimes Slayer is a bit too much for me. Raining Blood is pretty damn good though. I still say you gotta react to some Slipknot.
🙌🙌‼️‼️
Ha ha ha, I LOVE this song, but it's not for everyone. I've seen these boys live (first time was in the late 80's) and they were intense!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Awe man you listen to the wrong one first this song will turn a lot of people off from them because it’s real hard, south of Heaven or seasons in the Abyss is the one you should of started with
I’ll check those out
It's kind of a shame that so many black people are discovering these bands now. You should have been there with us in the 80's getting all of your aggression out!!! Man, these songs were such a release for teenage me who was pissed at so much. Stax - you absolutely need to react to Cult of Personality by Living Colour. I don't want to tell you anything about them except that I guarantee you will love them and be surprised by them.
Bet
I grew up with a few black headbangers back in the days. But I grew up in a big city lol Dallas, TX.
Variety of ppl.
Have you discovered hiphop yet?
How about Ice T's version of Raining Blood?😈🤘
