Side note: with songs like this it's literally the only band I've seen where I saw a dude in a WHEELCHAIR crowd surfing! God I miss this band already!
It’s a good thing you picked a song no one reacts to I don’t think anyone has ever heard this song before. Damn bro digging deep for content. Much appreciated
This is one of the heaviest and most intense albums ever. It is less than 30 minutes long but what you feel after is like no other. If I had to go in to battle then this is the album I would listen to before.
Kerry King, one of the lead guitarists in Slayer is the guy playing the solo in the gorilla suit in Beastie Boys "You gotta fight for your right" video.
So there I was, logging into CZcams when I see Jamel was going to review Raining Blood....? NO WAY I said to myself. Stopped what I was doing and pulled up a chair to watch this one review unfold with anticipation. I was not disappointed. And apparently, you weren't either. Applause for you Good Man.
@Oliver Jones Uh.. Just 'cause you can't understand or follow the music does not negate its validity. It's actually quite challenging to play and well-written. Play an instrument and broaden your horizons. Plus calling it unintelligent when you can't even spell properly is some serious irony.
@Oliver Jones I'm wondering if you play any instruments? I've been playing guitar and drums for over 30 years. Slayer is one of the hardest bands to cover.

Dave Lombardo. Awesome drummer. Plays in multiple bands. Fun fact! Rick Rubin produced this Slayer record along with Beastie Boys, Geto Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Danzig and Johnny Cash! Slayer's last video REPENTANT is something you gotta see.
I saw the song title you were reacting to and was like "OH FFFFFFFFFF HERE WE GO." Dude, this one will melt your eyeballs. Let's go to something a little more fun - NIghtwish's "Greatest Show on Earth".
You cover so many types of music and that is part of the reason that you are so big plus the nature of the Vibes that you give off in the positivity and being able to relate to different people and different music.
Slayer isn't my favorite band but i must have seen them about 20 times in concert....their concerts are insane....u can literally feel the anticipation in the crowd before they're gonna come on stage...people's eyes get a little crazy
Over twice as long and has a very sinister vibe to it nearly scary. Tori did great, and Slayer gave her a box of God Hates Us All T-shirts when they said yes she could cover it.
Whenever i listen to Slayer my neighbors do as well. Kerry King the lead guitarist played the riffs on no sleep Brooklyn by the beastie boys. The were on the same label at tje time Def Jam with Rick Rubin. much love Jamel.
The best way I could describe Slayer is that they're History teachers. History is often dark, bloody, and painful. Their music covers many perspectives such as a victim, witness, critic, or perpetrator. From the holocaust, Christian hypocrocy, murder, or revenge no subject is too dark for them to talk about, and their sound matches the content.
That drummer is Dave Lombardo and he only has two hands like the rest of us. To really appreciate how much of a demon he his on the drums check out 'Dave Lombardo Angel of Death Drum Cam'. It's a work of art.
This reaction was brilliant, the look of expectation on your face was priceless. And how many hands has Dave Lombardo got, Lol. Slayer is one of my favourite bands and Dave Lombardo is one of my favourite drummers. I think you should react to postmortem. It's got power at the start, and speed at the end.
This song requires some context. The song refers to an angel being sent to hell from heaven and is built on vengeance to return and battle, quote; "He want's to fuck that place up". This was the album closer for Reign In Blood, of which is a play on words with the song title, hence why the ending was so long compared to the full song. It's actually the second part of a two-song medley that begins with Postmortem and bleeds into Raining Blood (No pun intended). Slayer were known for their short songs in the early days. The longest song on Reign In Blood is Angel Of Death at 4:50. They explained it saying that they played the same amount of music and transitions from verse to chorus as any other band, but they just do it faster.

I had the privilege of seeing them multiple times and every time when you'd hear that BOOM-BOOM-BOOM of the drums every spine of every person just stood up straight at attention like a battle cry and everyone knew it was ON! Then all the lights turn red, shit gets real, and strobe light effects as every damn head in the place goes up and down at Mac 3 speed, crowd surfing begins and the pit erupts.
Side note: with songs like this it's literally the only band I've seen where I saw a dude in a WHEELCHAIR crowd surfing! God I miss this band already!
"How many hands does this drummer have?!" Love it! Love your videos, sir. Awesome!
“Y’all made the blood come down” 😂😂😂
Wow! This is heavy! Were rocking today 🥁🎸
Jammed out to this in the army in Germany back in the late 80’s. Hard to believe this came out in 1986 and is still quite revelant.
It’s a good thing you picked a song no one reacts to I don’t think anyone has ever heard this song before. Damn bro digging deep for content. Much appreciated
Here is some other recommendations for Slayer tunes:
Angel of Death
War Ensemble
South of Heaven
Chemical Warfrare
and Repentless (?)
The Whole Reign in blood album
The Entire Seasons in the Abyss album is awesome Jesus Saves Postmortem
This is one of the heaviest and most intense albums ever. It is less than 30 minutes long but what you feel after is like no other. If I had to go in to battle then this is the album I would listen to before.
Decades of aggression is another
Kerry King, one of the lead guitarists in Slayer is the guy playing the solo in the gorilla suit in Beastie Boys "You gotta fight for your right" video.
this came out when I was high school in the 80s. Saw Slayer a few times live back then. It ages well!
SAME 🤘 🔥
Slayer: South of Heaven
Angel of Death
War Ensemble
Seasons in the Abyss
Mandatory Suicide
I agree.
@Oliver Jones Uh.. Just 'cause you can't understand or follow the music does not negate its validity. It's actually quite challenging to play and well-written. Play an instrument and broaden your horizons. Plus calling it unintelligent when you can't even spell properly is some serious irony.
*Expendable Youth*
@Oliver Jones shut the fuck up poser.
@Oliver Jones I'm wondering if you play any instruments? I've been playing guitar and drums for over 30 years. Slayer is one of the hardest bands to cover.
Thank you for returning to some metal, I saw Slayer last year in Hershey🤘🤘.
I'm an old dude so I still love all the classic rock reactions that I grew up on in the 70's!
Your channel is the best reaction channel out there by far so keep up the good work brother.
I saw a youtuber describe the intro to Raining Blood as "sounds like a train is coming". That is literally one of the most spot on descriptions to this song. Except it's a man literally fucking heaven up.
and now for “angel of death”, “war ensemble”, and “seasons in the abyss”
Not "Season The Obese" ?
If we’re going oldschool thrash, need Caught in a Mosh by Anthrax.
I was about to light you up pretty hard when I misread “oldschool thrash” I thought you said “oldschool trash” 😅
Oliver Jones everything okay in home bud?
SLAYER can knock on my door ANYTIME!! they will always be welcome! i flippin LOVE slayer! 🤘💜
Scott Ian once said “Slayer is the soundtrack in Hell”
You cover so many types of music and that is part of the reason that you are so big plus the nature of the Vibes that you give off in the positivity and being able to relate to different people and different music.
I have seen them live about 10 times. This song still gets me screaming and head banging every time!!!
Slayer isn't my favorite band but i must have seen them about 20 times in concert....their concerts are insane....u can literally feel the anticipation in the crowd before they're gonna come on stage...people's eyes get a little crazy
4:10 That's called a "blast beat" mi amigo.
The whole "Reign in Blood" album is a masterpiece.
When I listen to Slayer, my neighbors listen to Slayer.
You should watch the drum cam of Dave Lombardo playing this at yankee stadium. He’s a beast.
I almost died when you looked up lol I live for your videos, bro. Cheers!
That's some agressive stuff Jamal lol!
My favorite artist does a slower version of this song. It's pretty incredible. Tori Amos Raining Blood.
Over twice as long and has a very sinister vibe to it nearly scary. Tori did great, and Slayer gave her a box of God Hates Us All T-shirts when they said yes she could cover it.
@Big Momma I'm not a huge Kate fan. I do like Don't give up but that's about it.
Bigi don't dislike her. She's a huge talent. Just not something I'd personally put on to listen to. I'm not bashing her in any way.
It was so loud when it came out in 86 I couldn't hear my parents yell turn it down 😅 one of the best fastest records ever, slayer!
Whenever i listen to Slayer my neighbors do as well. Kerry King the lead guitarist played the riffs on no sleep Brooklyn by the beastie boys. The were on the same label at tje time Def Jam with Rick Rubin. much love Jamel.
🤘yeah back to metal
Would like to see u react to:
Hell awaits
Postmortem
Dead skin mask
War ensemble
Why do the bands of some music genres seem obsessed with death?
Angel of Death
Seasons in the Abyss
South of Heaven
Andrew Smith 🤘south of heaven🤘
Postmortem then reigning blood
@@labradoriteatheart its inevitable and universal
I suppose.
Got to see Slayer in concert back in November, 2019 and this song sounds awesome live
That drummer is Dave Lombardo and he only has two hands like the rest of us.
To really appreciate how much of a demon he his on the drums check out 'Dave Lombardo Angel of Death Drum Cam'. It's a work of art.
'How many hands does this drummer got?'
Try listening to def leppard
Maybe “Machine gun” by Jimi Hendrix or Hey Joe live at Monterey
Yes on Machine Gun! Great song!
Fun fact: The producer of much of Slayer's back catalogue is Rick Rubin, co-founder of def-jam records. Mr hiphop became Mr metal :)
So glad you got to this =]
When I listen to Slayer, so do my neighbors.
Slayer is my second favorite live performances, Suicidal Tendencies will alway be my number one!
Thank You for this reaction!
Favorite song from my favorite band
Sacred Reich - The american Way
Sacred Reich- Death Squad
Xentrix - For whos advantage?
Xentrix - Questions
Xentrix - No compromise
Death Angel - Seemingly Endless Time
Metal Church - watch the children pray
Metal church - ton of bricks
Sepultura - Inner self
Annihilator - Alison Hell
Annihilator - Never, Neverland
All some crazy old school thrash
No "Surf Nicaragua"? What are you, a poser?
Still remember my first Slayer show. Being on the floor, hearing that opening, and feeling the crowd's reaction... I don't remember much after that.
Ohhhh!! Dude!! This was my go to in 1988!
You have this ‘getting into it but what’s gonna happen’ look on your face! Hahah!
