What should I talk about next? Comment it here!
Arrested development
Red Dwarf - at 74 episodes (including the movie specials), it's not super time-consuming to watch but famous enough that enough people would be interested in watching a video ranking everything.
Hogans Heroes
Maybe rank all the parks and rec episodes?
Arrested Development
Troy and Abed suffering because they sold their handshake to pierce is easily one of the funniest scenes
Yesss agreed
I just read "Troy and Abed" and instinctively did the jingle, even though the followup didn't work within the rhythm.
Your order is perculiar, but acceptable. I wish you had mentioned Vice Dean Laybourne. The truest repairman, will repair man
Your spelling of peculiar is peculiar but I agree with you. So far all the season 1 episodes are bunched together which takes me out of the experience in my opinion. 🤔
The fact that you got Season 3 episodes 3 and 4 mixed up, when they were originally switched in the production order, resulting in Troy and Abed’s door being marked as 303 and not 304 at the start of Remedial Chaos Theory is either an insanely funny bit or a bizarre coincidence.
if an accident, that is actually crazy
I was going to mention this too! If truly unintentional (which I believe it probably was), I guess it was just fate!
It’s probably because they got switched back on the dvds
The dean impersonating Jeff and then owing Leonard 3 wishes for scolding him is the highlight of season 4.
One of the few high points…along with the gangs Origin story episode.
Not to mention Annie being extremely attracted to the Dean while simultaneously being in shock of that attraction.
jim rash wrote that episode im not even joking thats why its so different from the rest of season 4
But the subplot with Troy's grandma provides the greatest Troy cry of them all: "I don't understand you, Britta! I don't understand you at all! Oh, she's had enough. She's had enough!"
"You can't disappoint a picture!"
"Stop saying I'm different!"
Yeah he had a dumb ass take on that episode maybe burgers from his ass
I'm sorry but Advanced Safety Features is criminally low. Frankie's monologue calling the Dean stupid is one of the funniest moments in the entire show.
i so agree, that was actually one of my favorite scenes in the whole show
I've always liked that episode too. It's really underrated for the show.
Nah
The cop being super into bricks is actually a brick joke, which a type of joke set up and paid off later (BoJack Horseman does a whole episode about them)
The first half is set up in Remedial Chaos Theory.
i liked the germans episode and found the scene funny where they tried too be earlier everytime and fail and troy starts crying lol
"You take that back!"
That was a good episode
Im German and That’s normal here
54:16 Annie’s Betty Boop style voice is actually really impressive and I think if they ever needed someone to portray that character in anything she would do a pretty good job tbh
I so disagree with you about Pascal’s triangle revisited. I think it was a completely necessary episode for the series. Harmon separates the finale into three parts: the outlandish homage (paintball), the school classes ending (EAASL), and the romantic (PTR). The biggest reason Jeff started the study group was because of wanting to get with britta. It also leaves good room for a next season while giving more closure. I also thought it was really funny tbh and I was super embarrassed for britta. That’s why I think anthropology 101 was a great ep too because it got everything out in the open, britta surprisingly wasn’t bullied and Jeff got his comeuppance for the creepy and insensitive behaviour. Also very funny! Just my thoughts.
You had sex with Britta then kissed me!!
I never knew that Abed actually was in cougar town, how funny is that
I was howling laughing remembering some these moments you mentioned. I think it's time to rewatch the series again.
Exactly what I’m doing now…4th REWATCH 😅
idk why but Changnesia has me by the balls it just makes me chuckle
It was a hilarious …Chang on words😅
honestly i think the glee episode is almost as good as remedial chaos theory, the concept is amazing in my opinion and it's one of the best special episodes (if you can it that, community is a special episode itself, eSPEACIALly as time goes on) and weirdly similar to the halloween zombie one lol.
That's fair! Community has so many episodes that could honestly be considered the best or at least amongst the best
I absolutely love this show but your comment about Jeff’s development being “speedran” is SO TRUE! In a way I’m glad it happens because it means we get great episodes faster than we would if they took their time but it is something I always noticed on Rewatches
not really relevant to the overall video but I’ll never understand how giving a dog a degree would be considered a bad scandalous thing. could’ve easily been played off as something fun and cute they did like when dogs get elected city mayors. if anything they spin it as “we welcome all and anyone can succeed here”. I guess I can see how it could be considered insulting to students but I don’t see people naturally coming to that conclusion especially with everything else that goes on there
I think it can be seen as scandalous because it shows how extremely low the quality of greendale is.
A dog not even speaking English can get a degree. That does say something about the quality of the school.
Woohoo! Community is my favorite TV show of all time, so this is a perfect way to start off the new year. I had a rough 2022, but knowing that the long-awaited Community movie will be released this year gives me some hope that 2023 will be streets ahead.
Same! My single favorite series of all time.
I'm stoked for the upcoming movie, and am also very happy to hear that 10k is a Community fan.
Thanks for the consistently Awesome content 10k!
I'm somewhere on the spectrum, and Community is one of my special interests. This video was awesome! #sixseasonsandamovie
Herstory of Dance is actually a top 10 episode for me
While Pierce def acted out of character, I think it was actually a good thing, I wish he was characterized as an older mentor kinda character way more, as it would've given him more likeability, also its earned after S3 where he kinda redeemed himself, shame this was his last proper main role in an episode cuz there was lots of potential there.
Anyway I love the episode so much bc it's not only hilarious, but very heartwarming, Jeff always makes fun of Britta so it was rlly nice for the show to pull a 180 and give her a win for a change.
For those wondering why S02 E14 was removed. Chang briefly appeared in blackface for a character in the DND game so instead of cutting out that 5 second bit, they ripped the whole episode. Ironically the Office also had a blackface joke that they just cut, they didn’t remove the whole episode. (I think it was one of Dwight’s friends in blackface for his weird Christmas traditions)
Really? I remember in Dwight Christmas they have a quick reference to a "slave boy" character that Mose dressed up as but Dwight cancels after getting backlash but when did the other joke happen?
Loved hearing about your rankings. Felt like season 6 was running on fumes at that time. And when I got my mom hooked onto Community, it was just season 1 and 2 (some eps of season 3) constantly on replay for months. Especially Beginner Pottery. Kinda a shame that she didn't understand the Remedial Chaos Theory episode (even though I explained it to her multiple times, I think she doesn't get the whole parallel universe/different timelines things)
You’re the first person I’ve ever seen put digital estate planning so high, and to put for a few paintballs more higher than a fistful of paintballs. Great video btw
I think you are not giving anthropology 101 and conspiracy theories there due credit, both of them have great stories and amazing plotting
Conspiracy theories is easily in my top 10!
I don't know if this is unpopular or not but my favorite episode is Basic email security. It just feels very realistic to how they'd behave , the confrontation scene is great and it's nice to see them put those differences aside after for a common goal even if that common goal wasn't worth it in the end
Great episode, I respect it!
It's a really good episode, especially for Season 6. No hate here!
I love that episode. My favorite bit is when she’s like “what in your brain is a chapstick lesbian??”
@@ko379 My favorite was "This was a study group?"
Basic Email Security is so good and has so much to say. A+ writing. the commentary in the episodes and themes of the episodes are worth exploring too, not just plot and characters imo
As someone on the spectrum with Community and The Good Place as special interests, I appreciate this channel a lot. Thanks!!
WHaaaaaat?? Abed ACTUALLY WAS on the ACTUAL Cougar Town show in real life????? Plot twist of the century!!!
9:19 I think that was a retcon. They most likely intended Jeff to be around Britta’s age (28 I’m season 1). Shirley also said that she is about the same age as Britta and Jeff. But we see a flashback where Jeff and Shirley are 10 and 12. That would make Shirley 37 in season 1, almost a decade older than Britta. So it’s one big plot hole the writers didn’t think through. But Dan Harmon is kind of creepy so I would be surprised if he thought that a 35 year old and an 18 year old could be together.
I really like some of the season 6 episodes you don’t like. Like the grifting one, I think that’s funny. And there were a few others I disagreed with. I wonder if maybe you don’t like Jeff/Annie and that’s where some of the disagreement is. But I also agreed with you on a lot of stuff and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this! Wow. Thanks for the video to listen to at work!
Edit: also, hard agree on changnesia. That sucked.
"You struck me with a woman's hand, you midwestern floozy!"
App Developments is great! so much commentary packed in a hilarious episode
My favorite episode is Regional Holiday Music because I love the music and I love Community episodes with an actual villain and I like Cory as that villain.
Cory was a solid villain
Great video, I just wanted to mention that in the episode with pierce and Vaughn in a band you said calling Britta just the letter B was innocent wordplay and didn't intentionally mean bitch. But it definitely did, Pierce literally says "she's a GDB" as in God Damn Bitch. Just a little side note
Seems pretty innocent to me…I mean Britta was the worst 😅
I think what he meant was, "I'm getting rid of the B" can be seen as a wordplay because B stands for both "bitch" and Britta. But when Vaughn sings about Pierce he also calls him a B, so he just calls everyone he dislikes a "B" and had nothing to do with Britta's name.
He fundamentally doesn’t understand human interaction and that’s why the list is so out of touch lmao
Quite a few episode rankings I don't agree with you on, but damn I love community so much.
I liked how it showed all of the characters and their each individual relationship with each other. They showed how each person can have a unique relationship with the same person.
Back at it again with another banger of a video. I wish there were more people into community, it is definitely my favorite show personally. This was a very nice surprise to see on my feed, thanks 10k
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
there is quite a few jokes where they are referencing stuff that you have to know to get the fullness of the joke. E.g episode 21 where the montages of Annie and Jeff, and pierce and abed, were references/homages to fan edits
This is such a different take on how I will rank things but still pretty entertaining. AD&D is IMO the best community episode and I would put every Season 4 episodes down the drain, maybe other than the body switching one. Thanks for sharing!
Frickin finally. I knew you’d make this video and I wanted so badly after you office ranked video.
Unbelievable effort put into this. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like The Britta Jeff thing, cause it shows being an adult wanting to kill the loneliness.
I love App Development and Condiments, but to each their own I guess.
It’s a sign of a great series that people can have such different opinions
@@10KProductionsit’s funny but I’ve thought about this myself. It’s great that there’s so much disagreement in the fandom about the best seasons/episodes
I think a lot of it is hilarious -- I'll always enjoy Mitch Hurwitz as The Koogs -- but it's also possibly the closest thing outside of season 4 to a season 4-ish episode. The author of this video touches on it a bit as well but one of season 4's worst qualities is that they kept doing big creative concepts for the flimsiest of reasons. And this episode gets very close to that, it takes Modern Warfare and dials it up 10 notches -- it's just REALLY out there. Fortunately it was written with a lot more humor than season 4's big-concept episodes.
My meowmeowbeenz!!
I loved the video! Jeff’s age fluctuated throughout the seasons, though. They only made him 40 in the G.I. Joe episode because it was a wish fulfillment episode and Dan was turning 40 that year. In season 3, they said Jeff was 19 in 1997, which would put him at 31 in season 1. I know it’s not much better and it’s still creepy but they never really committed to an age for Jeff. I also found it weird that they made Annie 18 in the first place since Alison and Gillian are literally the same age 🤷♀️
I never got the huge "ew" with Annie and Jeff. Pierce was creepy, Jeff was attracted to Annie but regularly showed he didn't care for when she was immature. I don't think they would have been a good pairing but nothing Jeff did was predatory. Not to mention that britta and Troy isn't looked at as creepy despite a similar age gap, just seems like a weird double standard.
@@magicstew45 Lol honestly I love Jeff and Annie, I just wish they would've made their on-screen age gap closer to Alison and Joel's age gap. I get why pairing an 18 year old and a 31 year old would together make people feel uncomfortable. There would definitely be a power imbalance in that relationship since she's so young, which is why Jeff was right to hold off. I also started watching the show while it was still on air, I think around season 3 or 4, and I just really liked Alison and Joel's chemistry 🤷♀
@@magicstew45 but also yeah, I don't get why nobody ever talks about Britta being 9 years older than Troy, and he's only 21 when they kiss for the first time.
@@saravictoria972 I think it's mostly because Britta's and Troy's ages are not really brought up much (outside of the rare sub-plots about football and high school), while Annie being young is constantly shoved in our faces while doing nothing to make Jeff seem like he is actually much younger than Joel.
communityv babies represents abeds attempt tp get them to stay at greendale as long as possible. if theyre babies, they can stay an extra 15 years. thats the logic i took from it. 1:06:10
I don't understand why everyone hates the puppet episode so much. Not just the creator of this CZcams video, but most fans in general. I'm not trying to be a contrarian or anything, but I genuinely like the episode. It's not Top 5 worthy, but I think it's a solid show. Good songs, fun premise, and overall just really quite funny. I mean, the puppet sequences are just plain fun, it doesn't need to make a point or be some kind of meta commentary. It can just be a fun episode. But I realize I might be alone in liking that episode.
fully agree
not to make it all about me, but i actually made a video to explain why i still recommend it! czcams.com/video/O3SRonh8K54/video.html
I did enjoy having costanza giving them LSD 😂
I just hate musicals
digital estate planning over remedial chaos theory is INSANE...
I didn't know i needed this! Thank you!
Hope you enjoy it!
Amazing work!
Thanks my man.I'm going to watch this a dozen times.
This is my second favorite show ever (after Better Call Saul) Can't wait for the movie!
How much is Pierce Hawthorne worth? Maybe!
Almost at 100k come on guys we can get him there
A boy can dream
I was just thinking about the Inspector spacetime convention episode, and I think it’s a funny bit of serendipity that Matt Lucas did go on to actually be in Doctor Who
Most British actors show up on doctor who at some point in there careers
@@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549 oh sure Matt Lucas got to go on to be a companion, not everyone gets to do that
I actually like the Cornwallis episode a lot. I think it has great moments.
01:31:24 🅰️ *I love **#JansonMantzoukas* more than just about any other celebrity / comedian *ever* _(so the casting alone would have made me love this episode)_
🅱️ *Without hyperbole this is one of my personal favorite episodes (top 10 or 15) of any TV SHOW EVER.*
Admittedly, a large part is that in 1985 through 1996 I had seen The Karate Kid at least 20 times but I wasn’t watching it for the Pat Morita as Mr Miyagi backstory _I just remember that Miyagi was drunk and yammering about growing up or something_ ••• To me as a grade schooler it was the “It’s okay to take a pee break, because I wouldn’t miss much” scene.
*So I until* _this episode_ *pointed it out, I didn’t realize how amazing the story was❣️*
Sorry for the rant but that’s my two cents❣️
My fav was the Scrubs/Zach braff references in that one episode 😂 scrubs & Community my 2 favorite sitcoms
Oh man I love the Recycled Cinema episode for it's hilarious take on cheap, rushed cinema and Grifting 101 maybe for Matt Berry - I find both so much fun! But I guess I get why someone wouldn't, there is something a bit awkward about parts of season 6 which can be charming, but maybe not always...
I love S6
One of my favorite things is how the Russo brothers were the community actors in their marvel movies, captain America winter soldier, captain America civil war, infinity war and endgame, oh and they put the Bluth's stair car in the airport scene of civil war lol
Which main community characters were in marvel?
@@eriktatos Abed in winter soldier, gay Dean in civil war, Shirley in endgame, senor Chang also in endgame, although not a Russo marvel movie, Troy was in spiderman homecoming
Boy you and I have very different ideas of what constitutes a great episode of Community
what i needed in my life rn
You deserve way more views for all the work you do man. Love the content, keep it up!
Thanks friend
Meow meow beanz is one of my favorite episodes
In season 3 ranking, Digital Estate Planning is not listed. Is there a reason for this or just an oversite?
digital estate planning being number 1 is kinda wild to me
Love that one, but I have to go with the popular opinion and say that Remedial Chaos Theory is still the greatest episode of Community. The Paintball eps, Annie's Pen, Pierce's Bequeathings, Ass Crack Bandits, the Glee Horror parody, Pillows & Blankets are all up there too.
1:12:30 the reason for the medium of puppets specifically is that they're used for therapy, to help them express what happened on the traumatic trip
Seems just as backed up by the plot as abed having a mental break and seeing stop motion. Here, there actually are puppets, and the characters are using them to talk like actual therapy (well idk if real therapy actually ever just does but it is a well known trope)
yeah it's no less weirder than Gi Jeff
Please do Parks and Rec
I don’t understand why, but my favorite episode will always Wedding Videography, since most of it is just the core characters having fun together one last time. Close second is Pascal’s Triangle Revisited, no clue why.
Exciting!
Can’t believe you got the wrong number for Remedial Chaos Theory. I wrote it down twice!
First, lol
But actually I love your videos keep up the great work, I watch them over and over again because they are so entertaining.
Thanks! Glad you enjoy our stuff!
Basic email security is memorable to me ONLY because of Elroy’s “current” shirt, Frankie’s functioning alcohol speech and her being called a chapstick lesbian.
Would love to see you rank every Arrested Development episode
"I see your value now" in S1E1 is my favorite callback of all time.
A lot of things I would change about this list
Whoop whoop 🎉🎊
Happy New Year, everyone!!
for the glee Christmas episode, in the scene where Annie makes Jeff join the glee club, they have 2 cameras, in one Jeff is sitting with his legs slightly apart with the scarf in between them, in the other one, his legs are together and the scarf goes off to the side.
this annoys me so much
Oh damn you were looking at Jeff?😶
I have such a hard time with the series finale that even watching your recap of it made me misty lmfao
I didn't notice this until now, but Introduction to Chaos Theory unintentionally foreshadows what happens when Troy leaves the series. Troy leaves to get the Pizza, the group kind of falls apart. Donald Glover leaves the series, and the series kind of falls apart.
This video broke a season 6 defender’s heart. But very well put!
S4E11 is super fun. People have this hate about season 4 so hard that everything that worked there seems to be diminished because it was on season 4. I'd bet a lot of money that if the show was exhibited for 1000 random new viewers and no information was given about who's writing the show, no more than 10-20% would hate so much this specific season.
Season 4 for me felt like "oh, it's getting kinda boring", but season 5 was way way way worse in this sense. I was glad they tried some new stuff at 6th season, but God season 4 lots of times feels better than season 5 IMHO.
I honestly think GI Jeff is a rather bad episode, specifically because how it makes other episodes WORSE in retrospective, Suddenly, the already kind of weird Jeff-Annie thing is outright creepy, because there is a 16/17 Year Age Difference, and the 6/7 age gap I personally expected was already a bit too much. It turns every jeff and annie seen into something you feel uncomfortable about.
I’m going to share this show with my sister and I literally plan to skip this episode
That's the point. Even the main character feels uncomfortable about it, because he sees her as a younger sibling. That's why he always pats her in the head. But she matures each season, and becomes more adult-like, and honestly you're supposed to feel odd about it, but that's exactly why they never became anything more rather than a few kisses
Season 2 episode 3 aired just over nine months after the halloween condom episode so that's another fun easter egg
Hey not sure if you’re still doing net worth videos but I wanted to pitch a suggestion. Jay Pritchett from modern family?
this show is just genius
This whole video would’ve been so much better if it went from worst to best instead of in release order
Wow nice thx
Trying to guess what episode It was by the title image was really fun
amazing dude such amazing
Let’s bear down for midterms
38:36 - I know that a lot of people don’t enjoy the Britta plot line in this episode but I think that it’s a great parody on the “bisexuality is cool” trend of the 2000s and shows just how hypocritical all those people were being.
Who doesn’t enjoy Brittas plot ….that was one of the most hilarious moments in the show…and proof of how most woke ideas aren’t genuine but for looking good
I didn't notice Johnny2Cellos was there.
just sayin in the glee episode abed looked snatched in that mouse king costume
The Psychology of Letting Go (S2E3) has to be my favourite episode
will you rank seinfeld?
Oh shit, hype
I knew that the bottom of the list was gonna be mostly from S4, but hearing him just repeat season 4 over and over being bad made me ctfu
Killer channel
The karate kid/gay dean episode is one of the top 10
That Biden ep is weird to watch today.
I forget if Biden sniffed and hair ? 😅
@@eriktatos and hair?
