These videos are, in some ways, a thousand times better than tutorials and I love them. Just finished a scene inspired by the ancient gate and it's just so helpful to learn all the little techniques you use, and even just the basic steps of blocking out the scene with big primitives has helped me fully create a large scene for the first time. Thank you
fuly agree on that one. I found this channel by looking for buildings and cities modelled in blender - I'm glad to land on THIS channel
But the quality of his models would not qualify for animation where you would see these horrible models from different angle. The dude is obviously talented artistically, but the way he model stuff do not reflect how things are actually made. That is the most common weak points for 3D artists, they don't know how obejcts are made or how buildings are made. You need to know the tools used for making stuff. Otherwise they are just clay models, even with realistic textures. I am not sayinghe should put nails in the models, but this tavern would not hold for 1 min. The structrure is wrong, wood planks are way to large, everything is crooked. Crooked and weathering are 2 diffrent thigs.
Not complaining here, the guy is working really fast. Also a little bit of planning on paper before working in 3D would have saved a lot of time here.
Great stuff, man. Tutorials teach you the how but watching you work gives me the why and when. So much more helpful when you actually get down to it!
Just watching it happen is also satisfying and cathartic.

Обалдеть. Я за неделю все ваши ролики пересмотрела, а в комменты не заглядывала. И на 100 % была уверена, что вы из Америки или ещё какой страны. А тут такой приятный шок. Ваши работы просто восхитительны. Такие атмосферные и музыка замечательно подобрана. Я сейчас тоже начала работать в блендере. И Криту юзаю. Абсолютно бесплатные и очень крутые программы, ничем аналогам не уступают, если уметь пользоваться. Единственное, чего я боюсь, что а вдруг у пеня не получится реальзоваться в сфере дизайна. Ну типо вдруг никому не нужны будут мои услуги. А так хочется перейти из конструкторской сферы в дизайнерскую

You can use array modifier, mirror modifier too just to speed things up, instead of duplicating each

Так классно выходит! Блендер дает очень большой ряд возможностей именно в таком скетчинег. Т.е. в 3дмаксе то тоже можно, но не так удобно. Шикарный пример чистого творчества!!!

create a cube and apply the volume scatter material to it)
An alternative solution wich takes less resources is to enable the mist pass, and to use it in compositing
@@simonesora5573 Mist passes will only show depth, like atmospheric fog making mountains a bit blue. However, they cannot imitate godrays, either you use the method sketching in blender showed, or use a photoshop brush to mimic it the best you can.
Theres another way u can use sun rays node in compositing and it's very nice and easy to work with. You can watch a tutorial about it
How much are your videos accerated? How many hours do you actually need for such a scene?

How can I fix top view distance setting like yours? When I switch to top view it shows the view from outside the building :/
Which add-on do you use during modelling? I can't quite catch where that occasional pie menu comes from.
The pie menu is built-in in Blender 2.80 and later versions

Would you mind sharing how your default shader seems to have some sort of edge bevel? The privatives have a nice highlight down the edges right from the start.
you should enable the Cavity in the Viewport Shading, in the upper-right corner of the viewport in the drop-down menu

It's a volume and propably compositing, type volumetric light, blender guru made good tutorial about this

May I ask how did you get uv maps to automatically fix?
Ive asked this before; he selects all the UVs and uses Smart Projections with the shader set up to use the UV coordinates on the maps he makes (so the Albedo, Roughness and Normal maps are all plugged into the same texture coordinates node in the shader editor). If he creates extra geometry or slides edges/verts with double tap of G, enable "Correct UVs" in the properties box.

Это благодаря нодам Volume Scatter, для создания материала тумана, свет проходит через него и создает красивые лучи

Это что, текстуры в Блэндэре можно сразу накладывать, без сторонних программ типа Пэинтэра?! Ну просто недавно начал изучать Майю, так там, если не ошибаюсь нужно переносить объект в Пэинтер там накидать текстуры а потом импортишь обратно.

Возможно денойзер все замыливает, нужно больше семплов поставить на финальном рендере
