In my opinion, you're best waiting for the upgrade option to hit the MSFS Marketplace, if you bought Orbx EGLC V1 from there.

I have the Orbx v1 from the market place and was frustrated by not being able to upgrade at the reduced price, but having seen the UK2000 version. I'm going to go for that. It's the airport that counts when at the jet centre or the stands and UK2000 is miles better. Thanks for the review as I would have made a big mistake otherwise. Oh! and I've subscribed as well. Cheers.
If you can get Orbx EGLC V2 for the small upgrade price, it's still worth it IMO.
@@Huddison If money is a BIG consideration, then yes to get the extended taxiway, but otherwise the UK2000 v2 is just so much a better experience realism wise using it on the ground. I often fly from the jet Centre and the UK2000 version is alive, but leaving or arriving at it in the Orbx version is like everyone has gone home and switched the lights off . It is a dead building. It's what you get air-side that matters to me and the two just don't compare.
Had Orbx V1 and was waiting for V2, but I've gone for UK2000 instead and glad I did, apart from the surrounding area it's better everywhere else, the Bridge in Orbx is too high as well (I've been there) making landing there worse in my opinion, and It's so much better sitting in the cockpit seeing people walking around in the terminal as well, like you said, if UK2000 do a bit of a surrounding area update it will be perfect. So I recommend telling Orbx to stick their cheeky update fiver and go to UK2000, you'll save nearly 3GB on your hard drive as well.

Perhaps as video idea you can make a side by side drone fight/exploration with this and the other Hud International, to see the differences.

I was lucky and picked this up with the discount. I was very disappointed that the DLR wasn’t there. But otherwise it’s ok. Like the previous comment, it is rather lifeless, like Covid London. It will be interesting to try it with GSX pro to see if it populates it a bit better. Thanks for the video.
It does need some kind of life injected into it, but it's ok to fly in and out of.
My thoughts are that I honestly don’t think I would pay any amount to upgrade London city as it’s such a simple, fairly basic airport, I could see buying Heathrow or other larger more complex airports though.
100%, it all depends how much you use the airport.
@@Huddison I fly out of London city at least once every time I have more than 30 minutes of time on the sim, I learned g1000 ils approaches there watching your videos, and still practice them there regularly, you should know, I’ve buzzed your aircraft many times 😆

In my opinion any upgrade so early on should be free. I think Orbx are just cashing in. Also, having used their products in X-plane 11 I don't think they are as good as they seem to think. I will research UK2000 instead.
I wouldn't mind paying a few £/$ for their extra work, but ideally, it should've been given to us for free (if you own the V1 version).
Thanks for the video however I'm still on the fence. If I get the UK 2000 it would be my first download from them.

When Uk2000 first started in MSFS their first releases were rather disappointing, but they have turned it around in leaps and bounds and they look great now. Sadly Orbx once a leader in flight simming no longer meets the standard. So many of their airports look dead. They simply don’t bring their airport to life and it’s really really disappointing. No people, no life at the terminal gate is just old school. Orbx is clearly a B grade developer now, and definitely no longer a leader. Fingers crossed they pull their finger out but l won’t hold my breath as it’s been a complaint for quite a while on the forums but Orbx simply ignores the requests and bans those who highlight the issue. It probably is also why Orbx refuses to initiate a consumer rating system of their products!

QUAAAAAAAAAAAA .......................................................... but for me Property tax ( Stamp Duty Land Tax) and house insurance (Home insurance) takes front stage for me atm.
Get the upgrade offer if you have the original.

@@mikecoffee100if you do decide on Orbx, wait for the specials. Orbx have massive sales every 4-6 months with 40% off many of their products.
@@anthonymark3771 Even better, they often have smaller, vendor-or-two, but still substantial sales, so that, all told, about every 2 to 3 months you can find deals and get loyalty points. In any case, absolutely wait for these sales as it will maximize what you get for your budget.
