    Best tutorial I've seen for the cab chop! Little details here and there that makes us avoid some hustle, wast of time to do it the ring way the first time! Now I feel more comfortable to do it my self! Thank you so much man!

    Why do this rather than just the body mount chop? What are the pros and cons. I'm asking because I'd like to do this or the bmc soon

    Great Job, passenger side is better. why not use black urethane bushings instead of red?

      😂 Ya Serge is a bit more polished because of his job. On color of bushing it just my preference. I feel like it draws the eyes to that spot. Both are good picks though.

      No… I’d be concerned for sure. Any major changes besides the CMR? If not I’d call them up and tell them your issue. Maybe they can give you some insight.

    What kind of paint do you use to coat it after welding. Just spray paint?

    • @eluv201
      @eluv201  Před rokem +1

      Great question, since this video I’ve learned a few things about cutting anything that can possibly rust. This is another spray you’d need after spray paint. Use this over the spray paint
      3M Professional Grade Rubberized
      Undercoating, Corrosion, Water and Salt Spray Resistant, 03584, 16 oz. Aerosol

    Question!!! I have a couple body mounts that are extremely rusted. I plan on making my own body mount brackets in the shop. Are the bushings that you used the same size as the oem bushings? Or at least close? I’m hoping I can buy the bushings individually.

    • @eluv201

      No the old ones are not compatible You can buy them individually.

    i have these mounts they make loud poping noises is this normal?

    • @eluv201
      @eluv201  Před 11 měsíci

      No they shouldn't .. Do you know which side or is it both? Make sure everything is tight and torqued to spec.if you did it yourself go over everything you took apart to see if something was missed. If everything seems right and still makes noise and you know for sure its coming from your new cab mounts contact DRT and tell them your issue and they might be able to assist or send a replacement for those bushings.

    What about the 2-3 inches of up travel you lost because your big ole tire are gonna hit the fenders and end up ruining your front core support, even my 33"s destroyed my core support after offroading

      When you change tire sizes you need to change your bumpstop size and make sure your wheels have the correct offset. My 33's don't come close to my core support.
