Perfect! I have been trolling the internet in search for one of these transformer planners because then you can have all of your planners with you at once! I think this idea is genius, thanks for sharing!
Do a hybrid planner. Take the back covers off use the thick snap in cover. Leave the front cover page of your planners as your dividers so you know where you are (who needs back covers, really? Then you can frankenplan, add your extras, etc. 😊
Darlene Hildreth honestly I was pretty overwhelmed when I started out with it too, but it’s pretty easy once you start. Front cover = divider, put on your months and then add a hard cover if you have one or just make your favorite cover the cover for the whole book (since you need a back cover added). 😊
The struggle is real, sister. I love the transformer planner, so I'll only have 3 months of each in at a time. I have my regular planner, faith, and budget all together. I work outside the home, so that one was added to a notebook in transformer style to stay at my office. I might put my gratitude and on-the-go minis together in a transformer style, too. Oh man, you have me rethinking all of it, Heather. lol
My thought is, why not just use a divider for different planners, instead of putting 2 covers on each section, which bulks it up a lot? Just a thought thanks for sharing.
I love this transformer method of planning. I think it's going to work so much better for me than having 3-4 planners out. It feels like I only have one and it doesn't feel so overwhelming. Also takes much less room!
I actually like having my planners lined up on my desk. I’m only going to have three next year and they’re all different ones. One is a medium Recollections (similar to classic Happy Planner), another is a Daysprings, and my third one is a Recollections personal ring.
I also love the transformer planner. I have my regular planner, wellness and budget together. I'm a teacher so at school I have my lesson plan planner and my schoolplanner put together as a transformer planner. In my regular planner I have 3 months, my wellness and budget just have the current month. My lesson plan planner has the current month plus the monthly of the next month and my schoolplanner has the current month and the monthly's of the next 6 months. I've found planner peace after 3 years :) woohoo
I’ve been thinking about doing this transformer planning thing come July because I bought a few of the new planners for different purposes. I like the idea of having them all in one place together, but I also am nervous about storing the rest of the planners you aren’t using while only having a few months in there at a time... the struggle is REAL! I like the transformer idea. I think the faith planner has too many pages and it's not one I would want to take with me if I had to leave the house with my planner setup. I have my regular Girl Gang, my Healthy Hero, Socialite for my social media, Dashboard Extension for my work/clients, Socialite (pink cover) for my writing career, then extra's tab with various writing pages on the classic regular disc with two months in each. I didn't want to tote around a planner on the larger discs. Once I took faith out it worked fine. It will be an interesting year to see how the transforming method works for all of us. I just came from Michael's getting my 2019 planner & they have them for 40% off, so now would be a perfect time to pick up more HPs for this! I only use 1 planner, but I like to keep other things in it, so I may do this with my old cover. Tfs 😊

Thank you for this video. Prior to this video I had watched your video on Tips for Making Planning a Habit in the New Year. I’ll be honest I had planned to use like 4 different planners and I had a feeling since I am new to this I’d fall off the wagon. Then I narrowed it down to two one is my everything planner and the second is my faith planner. However, I wasn’t liking how I had two separate ones when you said in your habit video to have everything in one place. Now after watching this video, I have the first 4 months of each planner on medium size rings and it’s easy to take with me everywhere. Love my happy planner set up.
I created a Transformer planner after your video and love it! I didn't include my faith planner, just my home business planner and my day job planner. If you find it too thick maybe just take out your faith planner and keep it separate? Love your videos! ❤️
You can use your hard cover. I did it all this year. Lol I guess I should have recorded myself. I have the black hard cover, squad goals as my main, budget, and wellness planner covers. Your hard cover will flip. :-) for 2019 I have Healthy Hero, Life is Beautiful, and Budget with all the covers and the black hard cover too.
Maybe having 2 transformers would work for you? One with work & social media, then one that pertains more to.personal/life? Then its not so thick so you have space for extras. But you would still have less to keep track of and items grouled together. Just an idea, thank you for sharing. I love seeing all the different ideas being shares. Happy Holidays!

lol I was expecting a Capital H in Heather lol. Funny.... I didn't know how it was called, but I was replacing some pages with the month tabs on it, to get my old seasonal pages I didn't use before for the might cover lol.I love seasonal themes.

Curious: what size and which planner did you use as a teacher? I adore the teacher planner, but wish I could have Saturday and Sunday on there too (currently I add it in by pen). I'm thinking a student planner might work next year. This is my first year using HP teacher planner.

I frankenplanned the Siper Mom with Daily Details. I loved the currently page and dividers. I’m a mom of adult children so I didn’t need dividers that had mom stuff on it. I’m using it for my budget planner. Now I’m trying to decide if I’m going to use Healthy Hero (everyday), Daily Details/Mom (budgeting) and Wanderlust (bible/journaling) together for a transformer planner. 🤔 I love the yellow discs but not sure how Healthy Hero will look on those disc. But the gold disc look good on all of them.

Huh, MAMBI must make a crapload of money by making multiple eh planners and convincing CZcamsrs to “advertise” Frankenplanning, so watchers will go out and buy two or three planners themselves. I’m to cheap for that. I bought one and will make it work.

I bought more than one planner long before I saw Heather or anyone else combine planners! :) And I'm obviously not a part of the MAMBI promotional team. I wish I could be decisive and strong willed enough to have just one planner! I don't begrudge MAMBI one bit for all the money I've spent on their products; they have been creative enough to make appealing products, and to make them reasonably affordable, at that.
I know Frankenplanning is not for me as it seems extremely wasteful but to each his own. Hated seeing her cover up That cute girl for the first week of January. I do like the transformer planner idea.
Have you tried it with just a few of the monthly layouts but not adding in all the weekly? Make it a little less bulky so the other covers don't stick out... I'm having that issue with the snap in hard cover too. 🙀
My boyfriend recently bought me the happy planner. I told him id like to start using a planner even though I'm not very busy but I like the idea. But the one he purchased for me doesnt have months or dates on it. It had stickers with the month's but still doesn't have dates. I'm sooo lost on how to start.
Have you tried to combine two sizes of the happy planner? Here's my dilemma. I am a teacher so I have the teacher happy planner that I tried to customize to use for my class and for my personal/home life. Then I have a separate fitness planner. I would like to have just one planner with everything. Problem is, the teacher planner is a big planner and the fitness and home planner I have are classic size. Any suggestions on how I can combine them all being different sizes?

Michelle Andrews the purpose of a transformer planner is that it can transform into a different cover/planner st any given moment. If you take the back covers off it can’t do that anymore

I agree about not using back covers between your diff sections. I would only use months at a time, so it won't be too thick.

It seems like that's a waste of planner paper, to glue a page from one, onto another one that is in good, usable, condition.

I think some of these youtubers are PR for Mambi hence they are given free happy planners. I think Planning with Bumble mentioned in her video.

litlebit60 You can use any tape runner. Scotch, Xyron, Tombow, Elmer’s, Glue Dots, etc. I’ve personally found that I like Tombow the best.
