Barn Find NYC Taxi Ford Crown Victoria Long Wheelbase Rescue! Sat For 11 Years!

- This is as close to finding a barn find in NYC as it gets- a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria NYC Taxi Package surprisingly in all original shape with 398k miles that has been abandoned in the original owner's Jamaica driveway for the past 11 years. After being replaced by a 2013 Highlander in 2012, the car hadn't ran since. Had I not come around, it would have more than likely met it's demise in the crusher.
After the beautiful clean-ups, it looks more like a newer, 2011 model from the outside. The 1998-2012 Crown Victoria has been my dream car for 10+ years. I bet this car can still run better than my 2013-2015 Nissan Sentra. Just maintain it well as it stays in the right hands. I gave it a like. Thanks for sharing this. Be well!

Beautiful car. Very rare. With labor of love and a few bucks- I'd get that yellow crown jewel back on the road in a few trips to the mechanic on 21st & 38th in long Island City ( K.o.Q.auto repair) then across the street to get a deluxe/luxurious full service car wash only to bring home to shine up.....

Just got my P71CVPI as a Former DT car from the 115th Precinct. Nice car she is. Black and tinted got some cool stuff with it.
how did you find out what command it was at
@@carsofqueens The officers former traffic manual book was left behind. Former owner looked up the history and asked the precinct about the info. Apparently the drivers door is a grand marquis door because he was shot through the original. I uploaded a video recently of the car.

If you ever need to move a crown vic with dead battery look under the steering column for a rubber flap. Use a screwdriver to push in and you should be able to to put into gear

My mechanic would only use genuine motorcraft parts. I never argued or cheaped out on his decision to use o.e.m. because I drove in, he diagnosed & simply picks up the phone to have genuine oem parts delivered in a matter of minutes or sometimes less then 90 minutes. Only in Queens folks can you get that lightning type service. Reason why I spend time and money on tolls to get from Jersey city, N.J. to L.i.c., Nyfor repairs on any car I drive. Fixed right the first time so piece of mind is priceless. Much thanks to K.o.q. to make that happen. My 2 cent rant relating to this work horse C.v.
