Fun fact 50 Cent is actually a fan of Saints Row and wanted to make a movie based on the first two games.
Considering the first 2 games were based on gang war, hood and all that, I'm not surprised. I doubt 50 likes the new ones tho. Saints row 2 was one of my favourite games to play back in the day.

That's interesting because Saints Row 2 had some elements from "50 Cent: Bulletproof" included in the game.
This game was dope! Fun fact: Helicopters were only added to the game because 50 cent's 7 year old son liked helicopters and asked for them when he was playing a pre-release version of the game, so the developers had to shove them in somewhere or risk the ire of 50

One of my best friends in high school loved 50 cent like it was all he listened to which annoyed me at the time because I was a die hard metal head. I remember getting this game for him for his birthday and we stayed up all night at his house drinking Dew and playing through it and 50 didn't annoy me so bad after. Good memories.

This game was surprisingly decent and wayy better than Bulletproof. I was a huge G Unit fan back in the day, brings back so many memories.

So we're playing as an extremely rich man, who wears two hats for some reason, destabilizes developing countries to steal all their riches for himself, to maybe buy a fur coat emblazoned with diamonds so he can wear it on stage and sing about how great he is.
Also I love how 50 Cent acts towards, and treats his allies like shit and then later be surprised that they betray him. And whenever you corner a villain they somehow run off and get into an offscreen attack chopper.

Absolutely. Clive Barker's Jericho, BulletWitch, and Tenchu Z are three games from the 360/ps3 era that were critically ravaged that I adore.

I always thought "50 Cent" was just how much they thought the game was worth...
Bulletproof will always be one of my favorite ps2 games. The soundtrack, the executions, Eminem being a crooked detective and Dr Dre an arms dealer, the setting and the comically absurd plot was great. Just wish the controls were a bit smoother. They need to remaster it!

You can thank 50 Cent's seven year old son for the shitty helicopter fights. When he played a pre-release version of the game, he enjoyed it but complained that there weren't any helicopters. The devs tried explaining that it wouldn't work in a third person shooter, but the kid demanded helicopters, so 50 made them put helicopters in the game.

It's neat how the rockets have a large smoke trail and are just slow enough to be dodged at the last second.
I've always had a soft spot for this game. I miss the simple action titles of the mid-to-late 2000's, where things are over-the-top and crazy, while crossing the line between silly and edgy.
Oddly enough I played this on the 360 earlier this year while I was clearing out my backlog. I can confirm that some of the performance and graphic problems persist but never had it crash my system and the G-unit AI never had them standing around while I yelled at them to open a door with me. I think they were also more active in combat especially on the driving sections.

I remember watching Zero Punctuation's review around the time it came out. Obviously he spent the whole review complaining about the game (including oddly about the morality of it, something like "why are we celebrating people who abuse women" and whatnot iirc), but it's still a fun review.

I was such a big fan of 50 when I was younger, I bought this and even 1000 achievement scored this on 360
I remember playing the ps2 50 cent game and loving the dumpster mechanics to the point that i would play the entire level carryng the thing if i could.

I loved this game back in the day. I still remember the Jeff Gerstmann review for Giantbomb, that was one of their best video reviews.
Thing is, I wouldn't be that sure that 50 Cent wasn't 100% serious during this game. I do imagine him playing the game thinking how badass and amazing he is for shooting down terrorists and Russians while his best hits are playing in the background.

I don’t play this game per se when it came out, since most people in my country don’t even have constant access to PC or consoles really at the time. I do however remember the review of it from our local game magazine. They gave it a 6/10, citing repetitiveness in gameplay and barebone story but praised the graphics and music.

Aim acceleration isn’t bad on controllers, but it’s absolute cancer on a mouse. Unreal 3 games almost always have it and I have to go into the ini files to disable it.
My thoughts as well, provided the acceleration is done right. With their limited movement range, analog stick controls benefit from at least some acceleration going on, otherwise the you'll most likely have controls that are either too fast or too sluggish.
Somehow I can see you riding down the road in a Ute with 'Get Rich or Die Trying' on repeat, blasting... and I like it
